Poor experience of a service where the…

Poor experience of a service where the problem I told them about (gears skipping) wasn’t addressed. They said the bike was ready. After a couple of rides I could tell it hadn’t been fixed. Even the chain was dry so that hadn’t been oiled. They took the bike back saying there would be no charge to look at it (bearing in mind I’d already paid £80 for the service). They then went on to replace four parts that they’d missed 😂. I’ll be going elsewhere in future.

Bought a bike Stromer from this cowboy…

Bought a bike Stromer from this cowboy 2 months ago in January only to be informed he not a dealer anymore. Don’t buy anything from him.He must have known he was dropping the brand and didn’t say anything.

We offered to help and also offered to speak to your local Stromer dealer to pass any information on, warranty lies with the brand and not with the retail shop.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. What a dreadful company to deal with. The simple act of ordering a cycle was met with delay upon delay, unanswered phone calls both landline and mobile, no order tracking and just plain general confusion. My bike arrived at a couriers miles away who wouldnt touch it as no one told them it was an E bike and was also over the weight threshold paid for. Yes, I collected my own bike a month after ordering ,but at least it had the benefit of being checked over by Hood and carefully placed back in its box using the original staples and banding- how clever of them. To add insult to the stress this place has caused me, they omitted the complimentary light set and multi tool offered as a compensation. Incompetent liars.

Hi Thank you for your review, you failed to miss out on how you was informed all the way that there was delays from the supplier getting the bike to us, a bombardment of emails and phone calls didn’t get your bike faster as the delay was completely out of our hands. You got your bike it just took a little longer than normal due a himiway delay. The bike was sent via paisley freight and due to the weight issue we had to pay for a 2 man delivery, you took it upon yourself to collect the bike from your local depot when we was making plans to get the bike to your door.
I’m sorry you have had this experience with us and sometimes delays happen. We are in talks with himiway now to mitigate anymore delays on bikes being received.

The team at Hood Bikes were fantastic from start to finish. From answering all my questions prior to making a purchase to keeping me informed throughout every stage and even delivering my new bike after hours.
