We had a minor isssue with one of the i29 chairs, made contact with the customer service team, they assitant to identify the issue and posted a repalcement part out a day later, could not fault the level of service, amazing team.

Fantastic Customer service!

Fantastic Customer service!
I brought an I29 about 5 years ago, but recently the seat started to descend when I sat on it.
I thought that would mean buying a new gas cylinder and expense.
Contacted Hood and they advised it may just need some cable adjustment - spot on!!
Many companies would just sella new cylinder and charge me, but Hood didn't and saolved my problem for nothing

Excellent chairs, amazing customer service

Excellent chairs, the full mesh allows for air flow, with no padding it can't easily wear out. Customer service was excellent, one of the arms became loose and within 3 days they dispatched a replacement arm.

i29 the great chair – and customer service that actually cares

I’ve had the i29 chair for 4 years now using it daily for at least 8 hours and it’s still just as comfortable as day one. Easily on par with other big-name brands like Herman Miller or Steelcase in terms of comfort and build quality. I recently needed help with moving it from my home to different location and reached out for instructions, Daniel was incredibly helpful, quick, and clear. It’s rare to get that level of support these days. I would recommend hood seating chairs to anyone looking for a solid, reliable option for long hours of sitting.

Bought an i29 chair from Office Envy…

Bought an i29 chair from Office Envy (excellent service) but after 3 years the seat developed a loud squeaking noise when leaning back and forth on the backrest. Phoned Office Envy and was transferred to Leon from Hood. He was surprised to hear the sound over the phone and immediately arranged a date to come and fix it, which he did. The chair has a 10 year warranty and so there was no charge and I have now a silent very comfortable chair again. These chairs are not cheap but I think well worth the money for both comfort and service should there be an issue.

Best customer service I've experienced in years

Best customer service I've experienced in years. Had an issue with the C-19 model bought for work purposes and Daniel was able to help me fix it over the phone in under a minute, even offered for a replacement gas cylinder and tool to be sent out if the chair needed it as per the warranty.

Loose c19 chair back

My c19 chair back was very loose so I contacted Hood seating and spoke to a lovely call handler called Daniel who asked to email videos of the chair, I was unable to send the email with video attachments so I called back and Daniel gave me his number to send the videos to and then sent new screws and bolts which arrived the next day and the chair is fixed. Very god speedy service and lovely polite call handler Daniel is a credit to the company.

What a chair, what a serivce!

I don’t normally write reviews, but I’m so happy with my new chair and the service I received that I just had to share!

Up until now, I’d been using a Herman Miller Aeron. I know a lot of people love them, but it just didn’t work for me. Mainly due to the lack of depth adjustment — I could never quite get comfortable.

After doing some research on Hood, I decided to give them a try. The first chair I ordered wasn’t quite right either (the back support was too firm for me), but the service was outstanding. The team was incredibly fast, professional, and had my chair exchanged in no time.

I now have the F94 102 SERIES and I LOVE it! It looks amazing, is super comfortable, and great value for money. A big thank you to the team at Hood for such a smooth and positive buying experience. I’d happily recommend their chairs to anyone.

Exceptional service from a truly genuine person

From start to finish, Leon at Hood Seating provided outstanding service. He came out personally to fix a chair and not only resolved the issue, but also replaced parts that didn’t even need changing—just to ensure everything was perfect. What really stood out was how friendly, kind, and down to earth he was. It genuinely felt like I was talking to someone I’d known for years. He gave a full walkthrough of the chair, explained everything clearly, and left me feeling confident in the product and the company. Customer service like this is rare—can’t recommend highly enough!

Excellent customer service and warranty support

I bought an i29 chair from a third party retailer in 2021. The chair is excellent quality, comfortable and great for my posture.

The mesh seat of my chair has become worn from very heavy use, so I speculatively contacted Hood to enquire about buying a replacement mesh seat directly from them, as my original supplier has since gone out of business.

To my absolute delight, Hood has offered covered it under their warranty.

I would definitely recommend both the chair and their customer service. I’m a very satisfied customer.

Best customer services i have ever experienced

Through my work, I was issued a Hood Seat from Shape Posture Seating. Very happy with the full delivery service and the quality of the seat. after several months though, the seat encountered a wobbling issue and the hydraulics start to sink. I contacted Mark at Shape Posture Seating who in turn contacted Leon Darbey at Hood straight away. Leon messaged me saying he would be up in Scotland (where I Live) the following week and arranged to come over and fix the chair. Communication were brilliant and Leon turned up when he said he would and replaced the chair for a new and better one. All this was done in a matter of days and considering I am in Scotland and Leon was in Wales just shows the excellent level of customer service these guys at Hood provide. I have dealt with both Daniel and Leon and these guys really go over and above the call of duty. Well done.

Old fashioned customer service!

I bought a Hood i29 chair in 2021. It’s now 2025 and one of the adjustments on the chair stopped working.

I called Hood directly on the off chance that they may be able to sell me another chair as I love it so much, and the distributor that I bought it from no longer sell them.

Despite it having broken, it’s a fab chair, and I already wanted to rebuy!

What I didn’t realise is that the chair has a 10 year warranty, and instead of buying a new chair, they sent out a whole new mechanism on the very same day.

Leon was excellent on the phone, and I will not buy another make of chair now.

Old school customer service that is what makes Britain great.

We’re in the hospitality industry, and our whole business hinges on great customer service. This is typically something that isn’t reciprocated by other industries in today’s throw-away world, and so has made a refreshing change.

Although, judging by other trust pilot reviews, I am not alone, and Hood seem to be famous for their excellent after-sales care.

Well done, and thank you!

I have had my i29 Hood chair for over 3 years and ...

I have had my i29 Hood chair for over 3 years and have been extremely satisfied with it. It really is a 24hr chair as some days I spend at least 15 hrs chained to the desk.
The seating material provides good ventilation so no sweaty back. The seating and arms can be adjusted to any position. I quite happily fall asleep in it on regularly.
The build quality is excellent; it is very sturdy. The levers are not flimsy, and the arms can be adjusted in every direction.
I had a recent issue with the gas stem becoming weak, causing the seat to sink, which is always an inevitable occasion with this type of chair. I dreaded this as the gas stem is always difficult to remove or find a replacement, which in the past, has resulted in purchasing a new chair.
I contacted Hood directly via the contact page on their website to see what could be done about this. Within the hour, I received a response offering the shipment of a replacement gas stem and a tool to help remove the original. This was beyond my expectations, and I am so relieved that I don't have to think about replacing the chair. (i'd probably buy another Hood one anyway!)
Thank you, Lisa, for your quick response and offer to help relieve my anxiety and prolong my time with my favourite chair to date.

Fntastic Customer Service from Hood

My Hood office chair had recently stopped working. The piston was worn out. I contacted Hood to see how I could get it repaired. Daniel at their office was extremely helpful and sent me out a new piston with instructions on how to replace the old one. With some WD40 and a wrench I managed to do this. a BIG thank you to Daniel at Hood!

Customer service is the best I’ve ever had!

I purchased an i29 chair and it’s been very comfortable to use since I work from home and also use it for gaming at night.

I had a few issues with my chair but Lisa and Daniel helped me without any troubles and sent out new parts when needed. Customer service is 10/10 and having a 10 year warranty on my chair put my mind at ease.

I would recommend purchasing a chair from Hood in any situation as the customer service alone has been the best I’ve had in 10 years.
