I have problems with my payment and PayPal doesn't work. There always occurs a problem and I already send a message to the support service but no help or answer yet. I want to go on vacation but have to work if I can't plan my content automatically.

Free Trial turned into a £1,200 bill!
I signed up for a free trial and was under the impression I would be notified before the end of the trial. That didn’t happen and without any warning, was suddenly charged £1,200! Have tried contacting their team but no response or resolution. As a small business, I’m now left struggling to pay the bills and out of pocket.
I’d like a response from HootSuite on how to resolve this.

Overcharge and refuse to answer emails.
Awful company. Signed up for a professional plan on monthly.
All okay for a while, then one month charged £70 extra on top of our bill with no warning.
Raised it with their team and got a copy and paste reply without replying to the query.
We were paying £59/month. They advertised an increase to £89 (which is already way too much), they charged us £129.
The are now not replying to any emails.
We are cancelling and looking to reclaim money
Will not use again
**Update. Hilariously they responded to the trustpilot review same day. However the emails remain unreplied to and not actioned. All bluster to look like they care**

It's the best Social Media posting platform, I tend to stay away from the app as it's a bit clunky. Fantastic for scheduling posts and delving into analytics. Would be great if it offered you all the same features as if you were posting directly within each social media account, however, Hootsuite is still incredibly useful.

If it was an option I would give 0 stars. Hootsuite is a scam. Their service is awful and very basic.
Their service revolves around being able to schedule posts, however I would have at least 40% of my scheduled posts fail to send which literally makes their product useless. Once I explained this to Petra at customer service they refused to give me a refund as a 'no refund' policy is in their T&C's.
They also consistently increase their prices even though they do not update or improve their service. AVOID HOOTSUITE.

Hootsuite are an openly deceitful company that stores payment details of non customers and uses them at their leisure.
I am now an unwilling and disputed "customer" of Hootsuite.
I attempted to sign up for an account a couple of days ago (14/02/2023 - billed annually with option to skip trial for 20% discount) and during the checkout process my bank card was declined despite there being funds in my account to cover the cost.
I thought this was odd so I contacted my bank (NatWest) to ask why. NatWest stonewalled me and cited reasons of "We have an undisclosed policy preventing authorisation". This frustrated me, but ultimately I accepted it and abandoned my cart with Hootsuite, moving on with my life. Or so I thought...
The next day (15/02/2023), I randomly got a notification from the NatWest mobile app to inform me a payment of £1280 had been authorised on my account and was now pending.
Needless to say, I was livid. How could NatWest decline a transaction on a Tuesday for undisclosed reasons and then approve it on a Wednesday when I had not even attempted it again?
I telephone NatWest telling them it was "fraudulent" and they attempted to correct me and say the correct nomenclature was "unauthorised" either way, they essentially stonewalled me as to why they approved it this time, me telling me "Oh, Hootsuite must have used another method."
Eventually, I got them to send me a debit card dispute form though they still refused to take action whilst the transaction was in a "pending" state.
I then contacted Hootsuite, denigrating them for storing non-customer card details on file and using them even in the event of a failed checkout / transaction. Additionally, I demanded my account be closed, the money refunded along with a GDPR right to be forgotten - a scorched earth approach to severing ties with them.
Hootsuite's response was "...We can see that your 30-day trial period expired and automatically transitioned to a Professional Plan on 15/02/2023...". I have since responded calling them out - how could they have possibly seen this in their logs when the entire scenario played out in less than 24 hours?.
They seem determined to keep my money and I am still in the process of getting closure.
Avoid this company like the plague, they cannot distinguish between customer and non-customer and they will spend your money on whatever they choose whether authorised or not.

I signed up for a free trial & got charged $918.86!
I signed up for a free trial. I was under the impression that I’d be notified prior to the end of the trial period so that I could cancel if I wasn’t interested in continuing after the trial period. I quickly realized the product wasn't right for me and thought I did everything right to ensure I wasn't charged. I also assumed, wrongly, I would be notified. I was charged $918.86!!!
I have desperately tried to reach someone at Hootsuite to no avail, and I have of course contacted paypal but am not holding out much hope. What an absolute SCAM.
After reading reviews here it does appear this is how they make their money. It should be outlawed that they can force you to sign up just to try out their features and then slap a full year's charge on you without sending you any kind of warning.

Hootsuite announces price changes again
Hootsuite just announced price changes and professional doubled from $49/month to $99/month. I understand price increases for value, and 10-15% could be construed as reasonable but this? And this is not the first time they've done this. Unfortunate for smaller companies who can't afford this type of pricing and have to seek alternatives

Much success but IG glitches continue
We have had much success in using the platform to schedule our postings across 4 major platforms. Occasionally, there is a glitch in posting several of our Instagram postings. We receive the notification after the posting date which creates stairstep postings across our platforms

Hootsuite helps me increase my brand awareness because I post consistently on social media as I gain more confidence with content writing. I was not a fan of being on social media before, and I had a hard time staying consistent. Hootsuite helped me get over that obstacle. I am getting better every day now. Check it out @parallelograminstitute. I do wish I could post on my personal page, but that's a Facebook thing, not Hootsuite.

This company is a scam, stay away
I had a business account linked with 2 email addresses. I cancelled my account in 6/2022. I was continually charged $200 for the next 5 months without invoices being sent even though I went through the process to cancel. When I reached out to the company, I was essentially told tough luck and goodbye. I was told I would have had to contact them within 30 days. Had I know that this account was still active, even after cancelling, I absolutely would have contacted them. This entire companies foundation is built upon a sneaky billing system aimed at scamming and defrauding customer after the customer is lead to believe they cancelled. I am very disappointed how they handled the manner.
It is subscription based companies such as this, that give other subscription based companies a bad name.
As a large company, any consideration we had to moving back to this platform is gone after their poor customer service and business management. Don't believe me, go read BBB - defrauding customers is a common theme.
Oh, and their platform really isn't that great.
After Hootsuite's comment below, I was hopeful that they would reach out. They never did and their response was just to save face.

Tried for 2 years to cancel…
Tried for 2 years to cancel subscription after not using their services. Again they have took money off my card. Under GDPR rules they have no permission to do this and I will be reporting them fir this

It's very basic but it gets the job done.
Hootsuite is a very basic tool that gets the job done. I'm honestly not sure if it's any better than FB/IG's marketing free tool. There are a lot of things that need to be done to bring it up to date. ... Like suggesting the best hashtags. They have this feature but the suggestions are silly and inappropriate. And I find it weird that the app can do things the website can't, like remember your hashtags. This is another case of you get what you pay for.

The subscription renewed automatically for another year, but this is not a service that our company uses and I want it refunded. I've reached out to their "customer support" three separate times and have heard nothing back. The fact that there is not a physical phone number to call is ridiculous.
