HootSuite went from $125 a year to…
HootSuite went from $125 a year to almost $700 a year in no time. Then, when we tried to cancel they billed us for the full yearly amount, not once but TWICE! We can't get away from the charges! Stay away from them, you can't call, chat or email to get an answer from anyone. Also, Facebook blocks any post posted through HootSuite from being boosted.

Avoid this company!!!, their customer service is terrible should you need help. Even as a loyal customer who has previously recommended their product they are not interested in helping resolve an issue and their "Computer says no" approach sums up their approach to customer care.

Free account finished without notice
Answer: again, I haven't been informed. Good try! Original: Free account finished without notice, losing my time because I had some posts scheduled. Now I'll have to redo everything again using another tool. The world is taken by rich people who only abuse the poor ones.

Be very careful with updating your plan
You really need to be aware of what you are signing up for, when updating your free plan to premium with Hootsuite. We updated our plan last year to Premium, with a pricing of less than 50 USD pr. month (billed annualy). After a while, we did not get much use of the tool, and stopped using it but kept our account as we had paid for a year. A year later I received an email with an invoice, charging us around 1500 USD for a new year of subscription. Fair enough if this is done on a monthly basis, similar to other SaaS solutions. But here, no email to give us a heads-up in advance and especially no email mentioning a price that has doubled since last year. This sort of business is so unethical in many ways, charging small business huge amounts without a warning, and they are fully aware of this problem happens to many users who forget to unsubscribe before a year runs out. I tried to contact Hootsuite, to avoid them from withdrawing the amount, as we want to cancel our plan on the exact same day. A week later and still no response to my ticket (and they even mention they expect to respond within 24 hours) and meanwhile they have withdrawn the full amount of 1500 USD. BE AWARE with creating an annual plan with these guys. It is a lot of money for a small businesses. I would never recommend anyone to use Hootsuite, based on this experience.

Very poor customer service experience
Very poor customer service experience. Have asked on three occasions why it is not possible to schedule reels and that the aspect ratio size always says it is wrong even when it's not.
Not worth the money. Better alternatives out there.

Unexpected Subscription
Last week I was charge for an annual subscription that I had at Hootsuite. I wasn't really expecting that and our small business wasn't able to pay it at this time. I reached the support and they were really helpful, in a week they answered with the perfect solution for us, a exceptional refund that will really help us!

Accidentally left my personal card…
Accidentally left my personal card details attached the old company account I worked for and was charged for a new year's subscription. When i realised the mistake, i contacted Hootsuite who replied very quickly and refunded me the money immediately. Appreciated!

Refund required
Hootsuite have taken £1268.00 for a service we haven’t used. We signed up for the free trial last year and gave it a go for a week and didn’t like it. We didn’t get any reminders to cancel so membership continued. Now this payment has left the business account and we do not want membership to continue. We are a small business and cannot afford this payment.
Lack of communication, lack of correspondence, we thought this was cancelled. Difficult to contact customer services.
How do I get this payment back?

This is literally a waste of time and…
This is literally a waste of time and effort. You can't post Facebook Reels, 30% of the time scheduled posts don't post.
I have clients on social media and this has made it so we've missed so many posts which has impacted our sales.
And the only "fix" is to disconnect and reconnect, which still doesn't work.
I'm switching to something else.

Fine, but clunky...
It's a fine platform for cross-channel publishing, BUT two issues:
a/ it's slow and clunky to use -- if you're trying to set up messages for a week, for instance, it feels like you're constantly clicking on multiple buttons and adding the same info in again and again..... nothing is 'quick and easy'
b/ analytics is lacking. I can go super deep on some things, but I'm left scratching my head about the most rudimentary questions -- like "so, of what I published last week, what worked?"
Also lacks some features like typefully and others have -- ability to set up Twitter threads, etc.
Overall it's fine, but I'm not sure I'd choose it today if starting from scratch on a platform

Not a fan
This site lacks control over posts. For example, I can't invite collaborators on Instagram posts. A lot of times I get an alert stating that my Instagram reel post didn't post because of some error that is not clear. When there is no issue posting directly to IG. This is a poor scheduling social media website that costs a lot of money. I only use it for twitter because it's the only platform that never gives me issues. It's a lot of money for one social media platform to work consistently. Also, your services don't really pertain to my business of creating art and getting more people to more site. This site has no edge over any of the other scheduling sites

posts don't post when you schedule them which is truly frustrating. There is no customer service available for the size of the company and the cost of the software. honestly weighing the cost vs the service your loosing. wont be renewing.

I just ended my free trial, and this platform is excellent. It provides me with a solution to manage my own and my client's content easily. I plan to stick with the basic package, and I highly recommend it
