Ateef was very helpful

Ateef was very helpful. He corrected an error that dated way back. He kept getting back to me so that our chat didn't get dropped and now someone who types in our url get the correct page.

My experience so far has been great

My experience so far has been great. I'm gradually moving all my domains away from my previous provider as I run into problems following an automatic transfer that took place last year. HostGator has had great live chat support and has been very easy to work with. Ateef was my most recent support agent and was friendly and took care of my issue in minutes.

Exceptional Support from Ateef at HostGator

I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Ateef from HostGator's customer service, and I wanted to take a moment to share my experience.

Ateef was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our conversation. He addressed my concerns about my website not loading and provided a thorough explanation of the technical issues that were causing the problem. His knowledge and professionalism made a stressful situation much easier to navigate.

What stood out to me was Ateef's willingness to troubleshoot the issues rather than simply directing me to a backup restoration, which would have incurred additional costs. He clearly outlined the specific problems related to my PHP application, helping me understand what needed to be addressed with my development team.

Overall, I appreciate the support I received from Ateef and his commitment to resolving my issues. His excellent customer service made a significant difference in my experience with HostGator. Thank you, Ateef!

Need tech support to do even simple things

The cPanel operation is unfortunately so dumbed down that anyone who knows what they're doing and wants to just do it is going to need to contact support to get it done. For example, when adding a site, it gave me a random DocRoot and that's useless, so I wanted to change it to a meaningful name (for FTP purposes). They have a doc explaining the procedure... which doesn't actually work. On chat my tech (Ateef Sheikh) was able to get it how I wanted it (thought he had to delete the entire site to do it). It's sad that making this "accessible" to more people meant making it impossible to actually control or manage what you're doing or getting without help... but I guess I'm out of the norm. I'm sure all the hosting companies are using the same watered down cPanel stuff anyway.

Great Help by Ateef Sheikh on Xmas Eve

Hi - it's Xmas eve and my website went down due to a conflict between 2 plugins - I contacted the chat and Ateef Sheikh came to my rescue - he went over and above what he needed to to help me get the site back live - the first person I contact told me I needed to contact the Plug in vendor (who on Xmas eve could not be contacted) - But Ateef helped roll back the plug in to and old version and all started working again - this is super great service and why I keep using Hostgator

Wonderful Customer Service.

I worked with Ateef Sheikh today and I'm very pleased with how quick and knowledgable Ateef is. I needed all the help I could get with getting my website back after it being deleted and Ateef stepped right up to help!

Helpful support staff

I wish I didn't need to reach out to support to add the records, but the existing records wouldn't get deleted after trying a couple of times. I reached out to their chat to get help updating the DNS records and the support staff (Ateef) was very helpful!
