Thank you for replying to our request.

After investigating, we found that your account was permanently suspended due to abuse, as we received multiple legitimate reports regarding its content. In such cases, and as outlined in our Terms of Service (https://www.hostinger.com/universal-terms-of-service-agreement), our refund policy does not cover the payments.

Irresponsible Hosting company

I contacted this company on 18th Dec 2024 as they were hosting a scam website that was taking large sums of money from the general public for home appliances. I was advised to report via their abuse proceedure, but they wouldn't take the site down or suspend without tons of evidence from me, which was already out there on multiple review sites.
Hundreds more people over christmas bought more items they never received, very irresponsible hosting company to allow this to continue.
I note now (10th January 2025) that my anti virus package is suspect of this scam website and will not allow me to connect. I hope this is the case for many other people attempting to buy goods from lifestylehomeapplicances.com

UPDATE 18th Jan 2025
The site is still up and running and many other domain names have been purchased by these scammers which link to this site

lifestyle appliances yorkshire ltd.co.uk
buy home appliances.co.uk
home appliance warehouse.co.uk.

Look at all the reviews on trust pilot dated in the last wek for lifestylehomeapplianes.com.
I tried to stop poor innocent people buying christmas presents and being scammed, but you wouldn't listen.
I have now reported this to a well known consumer clinic run by the BBC

Hostinger destroyed our Business

We’ve been loyal Hostinger customers for two years, running a shop selling Bitcoin-related items. Without any warning or prior notice, Hostinger suspended both our domain and webspace, accusing us of fraudulent activity. These accusations are baseless and unfounded, with no evidence provided. They didn’t even specify the issue—just a vague, blanket claim of fraud.

This unjustified suspension has caused major disruption to our business. We can’t process orders, respond to customer inquiries, or access our data in any way. Despite providing all requested documents, we’ve received no response in over 48 hours. To make matters worse, we can’t even move to another hosting provider because Hostinger is holding our database, website, and domain hostage.

While Bitcoin innovation is celebrated in the US, the EU seems to penalize crypto businesses simply for existing. If you value reliability and professionalism, stay far away from Hostinger. Their lack of transparency, customer support, and respect for their clients is utterly unacceptable.

Update 06.01.2025:
Support initially claimed the suspension was due to fraud, and now you're saying it's because of GDPR abuse. Yet, we still haven’t received any explanation of what specific “abuse” we’re being accused of. It sounds just like made up reasons to suspend a Bitcoin business.

The lack of transparency and customer service is absolutely ridiculous. Reviewing three documents has now taken over 72 hours, which is unacceptable. The incompetence displayed by the support staff involved is staggering, and this mishandling is causing our business to suffer losses of thousands of euros per day.

This matter is clearly not being handled with the urgency and priority it demands. As a result, we have engaged legal assistance as of today to evaluate potential steps for seeking compensation.

Hostinger Shuts Down Your Websiteand Hard Work in a Single Day Without Warning – Stay Away and Don’t Trust Hostinger at Any Cost!

If you value your time, effort, and business, DO NOT TRUST HOSTINGER! This company has ruined everything I worked for. I’ve been a Hostinger user for over a year, and it’s been the most troublesome and unreliable experience ever. Let me share my story so no one else suffers as I did.

I bought a domain, varsityjacketmaker.com, just a month ago to start building my website. The site barely had any content — all dummy placeholders — because I was just getting started. Out of nowhere, my domain was suspended without any notice! Hostinger then had the audacity to suspend all my other working websites, teamjacketshop.com and realleatherbag.com, dragging my entire business down with it.

When I contacted them, they claimed there were "abuse reports" on my domain. Abuse reports? For a brand-new domain with nothing on it? It’s ridiculous! They asked me for ID, bills, and registration numbers — information that’s irrelevant when you’re just starting out and don’t need to register a new business immediately.

I did everything they asked. I even rushed to register my domain urgently and submitted the documents. Still, they continued to ignore me! After 17 hours, I got an email claiming there were reports on unrelated domains like teamjacketshop.com and varsity.varsityjacketmaker.com. Hostinger’s so-called support team stopped responding after that. My websites remain down, unindexed, and flagged as dangerous. My business is in shambles because of this incompetent and unreliable company.

Their cheap hosting comes with useless, cheap customer service. Their support team doesn’t care, and they take weeks to respond while your business is destroyed. They suspend accounts without notice, provide no solutions, and treat customers like dirt.

I wish I were in the US to file a strong legal case against this shady, unreliable company. Hostinger has no respect for their customers’ hard work, and all the glowing reviews you see online? They’re paid lies. Nobody tells the truth about how this company ruins businesses.

I’ve now started my blog, HostingerRealReview.com, to expose the truth about Hostinger’s fraudulent practices. Imagine putting in 24 hours and years of hard work to build your business, only for Hostinger to suspend your account and delete your website without explanation.

DO NOT USE HOSTINGER.
Save yourself the heartbreak, wasted time, and money. Choose a hosting provider that actually cares about its customers and their businesses. Stay as far away from Hostinger as possible.

Hostinger's AI deletes another site without notice!

Hostinger just suspended another one of our websites for "abuse" without any warning whatsoever. I have been dealing with website hosting companies since 1999.

Without exception, all of them first gave notice of an intent to suspend an account and then gave an opportunity for you to reply to or redress the alleged abuse.

By contrast, Hostinger will use AI to delete your website without any notice, and if the AI deletes your site three times, then Hostinger will permanently delete your site.

I can tell you that AI and not humans seem to be in control of the fate of your site. The AI decides if your site should be deleted, and if the AI deletes your sites, the humans there seem to have no power to rule that the deletion for abuse was justified.

You'll get an email with the cryptic reason: "ABUSE" -- and with absolutely no elaboration.

The big problem though, is that since AI can summarily delete your site at any time, you practically need to make back-ups every time you update your site any time in order to avoid the loss of data.

---

The site in question is AdultAgencyAds.com and it was most definitely not cited for abuse "three times". Hostinger is confused. We received an abuse notice on January 8, 2025 simply notifying us that the site has been cited for abuse "once", and summarily removed from Hostinger's servers without notice.

They will suspend your site without proper notice

Company is mostly run by AI. That's why there prices are so good. The human sales staff will sign you up but expect almost no customer service and tech support. Instead, you'll get AI pretending to be human any time you email them requesting assistance. The AI will suspend your account without any warning for detecting malware. Better website hosting companies will first alert you to the malware and even help you clean it up. Not Hostinger though which is apparently run by robots.

Scary Hostinger Policy, DO NOT GET A PLAN With Them!

I own several generic domain names, and Hostinger flagged two of them as "suspicious domains." Seriously? Now they’re asking for business registration or a personal ID to prove relational ownership, and it has to somehow align with the domain name. I explained to them that purely generic words can’t be registered as trademarks or patent—they’re literally generic! And I am a freelance blogger, I discuss over 50 topics in different niches in more than 50 different blogs hosted in different hosting providers. Do I need to have business permit for each topics? Funny but seriously frustrating idea by Hostinger. These domains were being used as WordPress blogs—one reviewing car insurance quotes and the other focused on credit cards popular among Americans.

Despite my reasonable explanation, Hostinger decided to keep suspending my entire hosting plan. As a result, all my blogs hosted on that plan were affected, and I lost access to everything. This experience has made me realize that I should never have chosen Hostinger in the first place. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

I've been blogging since 2010 and have worked with many hosting providers (GoDaddy, Name Cheap, Just Host, Blue Host, Host Gator, Mocha Host, WordPress, InMotion, 1&1, and Google Sites to name some. They are far better than Hostinger based on my experience!), but this is the first time I’ve encountered such a frustrating and unreasonable situation. For me, Hostinger’s policies are outrageous. Just look at this clause from their terms:

9. ADDITIONAL RESERVATION OF RIGHTS
Hostinger expressly reserves the right to deny, cancel, terminate, suspend, lock, or modify (including access to or control of) any Account or Services (including the right to cancel or transfer any domain name registration) for any reason (as determined by Hostinger in its sole and absolute discretion)...

FOR ANY REASON. Yes, they reserve the right to terminate, cancel, lock, or modify your account at their sole discretion. So, essentially, you pay for a service, and they can terminate it whenever they want—no explanation necessary. And guess what? Your money is gone as what I have experienced with them. I paid them, I cannot use all the hosted blogs (around 30) beacuse they were all affected by the suspension. And I'm over 30-day refund period.

BE VERY CAREFUL. Think at least 100 times before you sign up for a plan with them. And if you’re still considering it, think 1,000 times more. I’m not exaggerating. For me, this is a company with policies that prioritize their control over your rights as a paying customer. Save yourself the headache.

I would love to upload the screnshots of the email copy my conversation with Kodee, Restry, and Devan so you guys will be aware of how unreasonable they are, but this platform do not have the option to do that.

REPLY TO HOSTINGER'S COMMENT TO THIS FEEDBACK:

I’d like to provide an update to my previous review so everyone can understand the full situation.

Back in September, Hostinger suspended one of my domains, claiming it was involved in "Suspected Phishing." Naturally, I questioned this accusation since the domain in question hosts a simple review blog. It’s an older blog that I hadn’t actively maintained as I’ve been focusing on other projects.

When I pressed for clarification, they pointed me to a specific URL. I couldn’t access it directly but managed to view it via the Wayback Machine (bit[.]ly/hostingertrustpilotreview). What I found was simply a blog post—a straightforward review of a credit card. No sensitive data collection, no deceptive practices, no downloads. Just a review post.

I objected strongly to their claim, pointing out the absence of any phishing activity. After their review, they unsuspended the domain.

Without any updates, changes, or new posts on that blog, Hostinger suspended my domain again on December 7 for the same reason: "Suspected Phishing." Once again, I challenged their decision, asking them to explain how the site could possibly engage in phishing when it wasn’t even active.

Instead of a clear explanation, on December 9, they replied with a different claim:

“Our Abuse team has investigated your case, and the team has identified the following domains as highly suspicious: carinsurance-quote.com, americancredit-card.com.”

So, now the issue shifted from “phishing” to “suspicious domains.”

And now, their response (below) to my feedback introduces the term "Abuse." Do you see the pattern here? First, they accused the site of phishing. Then, they labeled the domains as “suspicious.” Now, they’re throwing around the term “abuse.” It seems they’ll keep coming up with vague accusations to justify their actions.

A WASTE OF MY TIME, MONEY & EFFORT...

Hostinger Falsely Suspended Business Domain

Initially support was quick to respond with a generic reason, but the 'abuse team' has been silent for 3 days now, costing the business thousands.
Our business domain was suspended allegedly due to an abuse report of 'SCAM' (according to support). It was clearly a targeted fraudulent report by someone who knew this would cause an issue (we speculate a recent disgruntled ex-employee, but beside the point). This is a legitimate registered business, which accepts 6 figures of online payments yearly, exclusively through a registered Paypal business account. Documentation for the business and personal identity had been submitted immediately. There's no possibility that a scam is occurring on the domain, except for what hostinger has themselves now caused where paying customers haven't been able to access accounts/services for 3 days. Without contact or due diligence, the domain was suspended causing extensive damages to the operations of the business.

EDIT: I'm changing the review from one star to four because hostinger did end up fixing the issue. And other than that one issue, their service and uptime is better than most hosting companies. We didn't want to change hosting and won't be now that it's resolved. But we will be adding an additional redundant domain and server elsewhere incase they try to pull something like this again. Is it Hostingers fault that somebody created a fraudulent report in order to harm an online business? No, I don't think so. But it is Hostingers fault that they:
1. Suspend first and ask questions later (or not at all in this case until we contacted them)
2. Take days or weeks to actually investigate a matter where time is of the essence, essentially ruining the reputation of the business by Hostingers own negligence
But then again I think that is standard practice in this industry because it's the 'easy' way, and usually small to medium businesses won't bother to bring a legal case against them for this.
My suggestions would be:
1. give 24 hours notice by email, as most legitimate businesses will have same day response times
2. When the documentation is then sent, look into it IMMEDIATELY. Online businesses don't have days or weeks to wait for your turtle team to get back from lunch and read an email

Hostinger Suspended My Account and Held My Domains Hostage – A Warning for Everyone!

I’m writing this post as a warning to anyone considering Hostinger as their hosting or domain provider. My recent experience with them has been a nightmare, and I don’t want anyone else to go through the same.

Here’s what happened:
I’ve been using Hostinger for hosting and domain registration for a while. Everything seemed fine, but out of the blue, they suspended my account without warning. Not only did this cut off my access to my websites, but it also locked me out of managing my domains.

I contacted their support team, expecting some clarity or a solution. Instead, I got the runaround:

They refused to explain the exact reason for the suspension, citing vague "policy violations."
They made it impossible for me to obtain the authorization codes needed to transfer my domains elsewhere.
Worst of all, they showed no urgency in resolving the issue, even though the domains are critical for my business.
Let me make one thing clear: your domains are your property, and registrars are obligated to facilitate your access to them. By holding my domains hostage, Hostinger has shown an alarming disregard for customer rights.

For those considering using Hostinger, ask yourself:

What will you do if they suspend your account for an unclear reason?
Are you comfortable with the possibility of losing access to your domains and websites?
I’m now working with ICANN to try and resolve this, but it’s been an uphill battle.

If you’re currently using Hostinger, I urge you to:

Back up your data and ensure you have access to alternative hosting providers.
Transfer your domains to a reputable registrar immediately to avoid the risk of losing control over them.
I know there are people who’ve had good experiences with Hostinger, but this level of customer service is unacceptable. If you’ve had similar experiences, share them here. Let’s hold companies like this accountable for their practices.

Has anyone else gone through this with Hostinger or other providers? Let me know your thoughts or advice in the comments. Let’s spread the word!

From last 3 days trying to unsuspend my hosting account which got suspended as 1 website out of 12 was causing phishing attack / fraud. I am a developer and host many client's website on my hosting.

As a result, they suspend complete account effecting all my clients due to that one website. Now I am asking them to delete the websites they want and making the hosting live as this is effecting my business. But they are asking registration proof of 3 websites.

Never faced this issue in 3 years on HostGator that I faced in one week on Hostinger. There abuse team took 3 days to reply what documents they need to unsuspend the account, highly unprofessional royal team who have no time to reply the tickets.

Please refund my payment, so I can have piece of mind by staying away from you.

domain suspended

I had the misfortune of hosting my domain with Hostinger and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did they randomly suspend my domain without any warning or explanation, but they have also failed to respond to any of my support tickets. It seems like once they have your money, they couldn't care less about providing decent customer service.

On top of that, the way they handle situations is completely unprofessional. Instead of offering any kind of explanation or solution to the issue, they have simply ignored me and left me in the dark. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of care for their customers.

I would highly recommend avoiding Hostinger at all costs. Their unreliable service, lack of communication, and poor customer support make them a company that should be avoided at all costs. Save yourself the headache and go with a more reputable hosting provider.

Hostinger is a scam

Hostinger is a scam. DO NOT HOST MULTIPLE WEBSITES WITH HOSTINGER. If there's a problem with one of your sites and it gets suspended, Hostinger will victimize you by banning all your websites without even giving you a backup! And Hostinger customer support will tell you that you agreed to it in their Agreement. Beware of Hostinger, they will bann all your websites without giving you notice if one website is suspended. If you must host your website with Hostinger, don't host more than one website with Hostinger!

If you have 4 websites, Hostinger will lure you to put all of them on one Hosting plan, but if they receive a bad report about one website, they will permanently suspend all your other 3 or more innocent websites. Hostinger is that bad at victimizing their customers! Beware of Hostinger! Never host multiple websites on Hostinger!

Hostinger abuses and victimizes its customers by shutting down their accounts without notice and shutting down their multiple websites for no reason. They will suddenly shut down your multiple websites without giving you a backup. Beware of Hostinger!

My advice is to never use Hostinger.

I am a blogger, and I will refuse to use hostinger to become a blogger. I have many domains registered with different registrars like HostGator, Dynadot, Namecheap, and GoDaddy, and I have never faced any issues like this before. However, when I bought a domain from Hostinger, it got suspended within 2 days. How does such a large company benefit from an ID card for security? Who will tell them that someone who wants to do something illegal can also get a domain with someone else's ID card? They suspend my running domain. Now its taking time to activte. Previously, they don't ask for an ID card; they suspend your running domain first and then ask for an ID card, which causes the domain's rank to drop and you lose visitors. Therefore, my advice is to never use Hostinger.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing a bit of your experience. Your insights help us grow and improve.

After investigating, we noticed your domain was suspended by the Registry (the organization that manages your domain) due to invalid registrant details. It's necessary to have this information accurate for security reasons, and Hostinger must abide by their requirements.

After you provided the necessary documents, the suspension was lifted. A specialist contacted you to inform you, so let us know if you still have any questions!

Best wishes,

Lost all trust, putting me through a nightmare

Nobody answers emails to customer service at all, it was hard enough to find it. Nor to the "quality" email address they provide here in replies, what a joke.
I then had to switch computer and browser to use their chat, after having to click through a ton of non relevant topics. No option for hosted websites in the help menu (to contact Cs) at all.
My websites were ALL down / error message, while the admin panel said always "okay" . In months I never received a notification about this.
There's a useless ai tool, telling me to contact customer service.
So when I managed to get someone in the chat and it took forever for him to get back to me with the info, it turned out out ALL my websites were shut down by hostinger, bec supposedly 1 had an installation of a free LMS on it, from years ago (if I understood correctly, it wasn't easy to understand and they called it "CMS").
No notification about any of this in time, let alone any offer to resolve the issue they have created.
I still don't know if my email had worked even, CS in chat wouldn't reply to half of the things I asked and each reply took a very long time, altogether hours.
All I know I have been losing business for 3 months without knowing about this.
Hostinger has 100 percent lost my trust.
So, support in the chat made everything available again, I spent the rest of the evening, after losing the day on this (because I followed steps in their useless troubleshooting website after I got no help earlier), finally posting a blog post and then social media for it - - only to have the same error again!
No reply via email. Invhat again endless waiting, all in all hours. CS lady copy pasting and being condescending, basically telling me I was a malicious scammer bec I had years! ago installed the open source LMS Chamilo. So, one day, hostinger decides that LMS is a threat to them and suspend all my websites without a notification. Last night, after the websites were back online, they were suspended again, because the first CS representative had not emptied the trash folder, he had simply moved the installation there.
Great working, your automated systems hostinger, your serbmvice has declined to the point of unacceptable and I will look for a different holster today. Your CS denied to tell me how to cancel.
Even the process and shutting down the website in question without my consent and knowledge isn't OK, but sabotaging my business on various other websites?! What do I pay for for business hosting when my business is sabotaged, no apology for my losses, and no reply to my emails.
You should refund me and pay me for my lost time, also.

I really suggest you to think twice…

I really suggest you to think twice before applying. It is hard to get a refund, and your site will get suspended without any notice. Here is what happens to me:

========= History of using Hostinger

[Experience 1] Refund is hard and you have to do lots of reply for the same question again and again, before you give up.

I tried to register a domain, however the hostinger screen is not loading, even after an hour.
Then I notice that my desire domain is registered by someone else, so I cannot do the registration anymore.
According to my experience, they will not refund the domain fee to me, if I did not ask for it actively, and quickly, so I talk to Hostinger, and here is what happened:

4/30: As usual, there is an AI answering me without knowing the situation, therefore I request a real human to answer me, until I reached Alfa (A real human from Hostinger) . Alfa created a ticket, and ask me to wait.

5/2: Kayla (A staff of Hostinger) asked me, whether I want a refund or use the credit for other domain
I replied that I want a refund

5/3: Andrea (Another Staff of Hostinger) asked what I want a refund for, and want to confirm my email
I replied and repeat some basic information to them

5/6: Jaime (Another staff of Hostinger) said refund is available and want me to confirm my email (by using the same email that I register hostinger)
I did what is requested and repeat some basic information to them (To make sure I am sending to the right person, I added all emails address in the previous conversation into my reply)

Around 2 weeks afterwards, since there is no update from them, I urged them

5/18: Andrea said I have not replied the email on 5/2 [Then how did Andrea replied my reply on 5/3?], so they are still waiting for my answer, of the question "whether I want a refund or credit for other domain"
I replied again that I want a refund

5/18: Andrea ask me to confirm my email (by using the same email that I register Hostinger)
I replied that I have done that already, with proof of screenshot in gmail

5/19: Andrea told me that I have to reply to a specific email address instead of just clicking reply [Why don't they tell me at first?]
To stop my email address being a problem, I changed the Hostinger account email to my email address that I am talking to them.

5/19: Nikita (Another staff of Hostinger) asked me, whether I want a refund or use the credit for other domain [The 3rd time for the same question!]
I replied

Then, finally, I get refunded. However, "Refund" does not means money going back to my bank account, it only means I have to use this credit to purchase someone else from Hostinger.

[Experience 2] No refund if you ask for it late, even you have not registered any domain from them

One year ago, I am registering several country domains, during the registration, I was first asked to pay the domain fee before knowing any requirement. After paying the fee. I notice that I am not eligible because special id number has to be provided. All my registrations were unsuccessful.

I thought that they will refund to me automatically, because the registration has never been done. However, they did not. And when I ask them later for a refund. They told me it is too late, so they did not give me any refund.

[Experience 3] Webhosting Suspension without informing you, even it is not your fault

I am using Cloud Professional, of which all usages (memory, harddisk IO, etc.) are separated, and should not affect the other users on the server. However, my webhosting plan get suspended, because of high usage. I was never informed of this suspension before or after. Therefore, all my websites get suspended for a day, until I discover it myself.

After several discussion with the staff of Hostinger, the high usage found out is due to high number of visitors, not because of any attack.

After that, I start moving out all my domain out of Hostinger, because I know no matter which hosting plan you have, once you have high number of visitors, they may suspend your account without informing you, until you discover it yourself.

=================

Remark: DO NOT trust the review from G2.com!!!
I have submitted the same review to G2.com , they ask me to provide a screenshot of Hostinger account after login.
I did, showing many details of my Hostinger account, but G2.com said that I cannot prove that I am using Hostinger service. To conclude, I really suspect that they will filter some comments they dislike.
