Hostway is a HORRIBLE server!!! My business email has been messed up for 8 months. They are blocking important emails that I need for my business. I have called them numerous times, customer service is rude, and the problem never gets resolved.

We were customers of MyHosting.com for years.
Without any notice, the account of our Non Profit Organization was transferred to Hostway.com
We lost access to our email accounts and website for few days.
They didn't provide enough information so we could reconfigure our email client apps and we had to check our emails thru web.
On August 20th 2024, Hostway double charged my personal CC for a payment that I made to MyHosting back in June.
That same day, Hostway’s Billing department told me that were not honoring the NPO plan that we had with MyHosting.
We told them that we didn’t agree to that and we started to look for another hosting service provider.
On August 27th 2024, Hostway’s Billing department told me that our account was going to be closed.
On August 29th 2024, I informed Hostway that we were transferring our account to another hosting service provider.
On Sept. 20th 2024, almost a month after they told us that our account was going to be closed and I informed them that we were no longer their customer, they charged my personal CC again.
When confronted about this new charge, they told me that they made the charge because our account was not properly cancelled and since they have a Zero Credit/Refund Policy, they will not issue a refund.
Hostway misused the CC information that I provided to MyHosting to made charges to my CC without my authorization even though that we were no longer their customer.

I had Hostway for many years. It is usually perfect, reliable and with good support. On occasions there are failures with their servers or connecting to them, which is why I rate them a 4 instead of 5.
To me the most valuable feature is the unlimited email aliases, which made handling spammers and physhers much easier, and I even detected security breaches at certain businesses long before they knew themselves thanks to the aliases.

I recently discovered Hostway was charging me for hosting two of my domains for the last eight years while I moved all my files and email off their servers. They have a record of me contacting them to remove my files and change my hosting away from them back on 2016, but claim I never contacted them to cancel service. The total amount paid was about $3000 which they refuse to refund. I live on a very limited budget being on disability after a serious car accident. This represents a huge part of my income and resources. I have asked for a refund but they have refused. It's robbery. They never even sent me confirmation of my payments all these years so I did not realize the funds were being charged to my credit card which was autopay on a card I thought was defunct from lack of use. All this time I was being charged and my card was being paid without me realizing it. The corporation ought to refund me out of the rightness of the situation.

I've been using Hostway for my business website for about 10 years now and I have no complaints. Anytime I've had any type of issue, they are very quick to respond and help me. They also follow up afterwards to make sure all has been resolved.
We have been using Hostway for our email providers for several years now. It is a seamless experience. Our emails work well without effort on our part. The thing I have to spend the most time on is updating the payment method so that our bill gets paid annually properly. If I want to update our service to add anything, it is easy to do that online in my account. I haven't had to call Hostway for any problems since we got the service set up several years ago.
Hostway is the worst hosting provider on the planet!! I'm paying $14.95 per month for a 1/4 page text-only website that provides basic contact info for a subsidiary business unit. I tried to change some of that info a week ago and their website editor won't publish the changes I made to my site and their tech support dept. told me the problem had been "escalated" to their 3rd level tech support (!!!) and it would be fixed within 24-48 hours. That was a week ago. I now think they don't even have genuine tech support staff, but only telemarketing staff who dish out worthless promises on behalf of a useless company. Now I have to move my simple website to another hosting provider just to make a few simple text changes on the website. Pathetic!!

I've been with Hostway for over a decade, running a couple of business sites and even a WordPress site. The reliability is solid, as has been the tech support. When I got lost on their (or my own back end and emails), we've always gotten things straightened out. Kudos.
