A Disastrous Experience: My Non-Cosmetic Surgery Gone Wrong
A Disastrous Experience: My Non-Cosmetic Procedure Gone Wrong
A heart-wrenching tale of medical negligence
When I first consulted Dr. Hotaki regarding a non-surgical band face and eyebrow lift, I never imagined the nightmare that would follow. My experience with the non-cosmetic treatment performed by Dr. Hotaki was nothing short of a disaster, leaving me with more complications than I had ever anticipated.
My journey began with a series of consultations where I was assured that the treatment would make my face look fresh and youthful for 10 years. Dr. Hotaki appeared confident and knowledgeable, which gave me a sense of security. I was informed about the risks, but the potential benefits seemed to outweigh them.
Following the initial facelift procedure, there was noticeable sagging at the eyebrows, cheeks, and jawline within the first few weeks, despite assurances that the results would last for ten years. A second attempt to rectify these issues also failed to achieve the desired outcome and resulted in scarring and deformities around the forehead and temples. Various treatments were administered, such as steroid injections and facial rejuvenation procedures, to assist in healing and skin restoration. However, Dr. Hotaki needed to remove some of the bands he had previously placed to expedite healing. Unfortunately, none of these methods proved effective, and the skin did not recover as initially expected. Consequently, corrective surgery became necessary, which was financed through a loan that I am still repaying. Some scar tissue induced by Dr. Hotaki remained even after a year.
Dr. Hotaki declined to accept responsibility for the incident and refused to issue a refund, which necessitated securing a loan for repairs. Subsequently, I identified several concerning issues, including overpricing and the absence of any emailed copies of the agreements signed at his practice. I am available to provide more detailed information upon request.
I am sharing my story, so that others will be cautious and seek multiple opinions before undergoing any procedures. No one should have to endure what I did.
In hindsight, I would have exercised greater diligence in researching and selecting my practitioner. I strongly recommend that anyone contemplating any form of treatment by this doctor undertake thorough research. Your health and well-being are paramount and should be entrusted to those who demonstrate the highest standards of care and professionalism.
P.S: I disagree with the previous statements regarding dishonesty. As a client, I have the right to express my experience and dissatisfaction with your services. My review reflects what I encountered at your clinic. My expectations were based on information provided during the consultation. My feedback highlighted the issues faced at your clinic.
I have email proof indicating that I stopped corrective treatments due to lack of improvement. The photographic evidence illustrates that the results did not meet the expectations set during our consultation and show the complications experienced.
Additionally, I have copies of the pictures taken immediately after the procedures, which do not show complications from the healing process. Despite requesting anonymity, my name and profession were revealed, which did not adhere to our agreement and raises concerns about professionalism.
My emails were requests for resolution regarding dissatisfaction with the procedure. I sought a refund and assistance for corrective surgery. I consulted solicitors to understand my rights and explore options. A reputable company confirmed that I had a negligence case but could not pursue it further without insurance details that were not provided despite multiple attempts.
While you may have many satisfied clients, my experience was different. My review is based on my personal experience and should not be dismissed as dishonest. It is concerning that my concerns are labelled as unrealistic expectations I have every right to share my experience without being accused of dishonesty.
