Hotel Hot Tubs is a travel search company that helps people find hotel rooms with a private hot tub or jacuzzi in the room itself, rather than shared with every other guest down in the spa. We exist because of a specific, maddening ambiguity. Hotels use the word "jacuzzi" for at least three different things: a jetted tub beside your bed, a pool on a shared rooftop deck, and a spa facility down the corridor that closes at nine. Most booking sites file all three under the same amenity tag. Travelers book the first, pay a premium for it, and arrive to find the third. It is one of the most common and least discussed disappointments in leisure travel, and it happens because nobody was labeling the difference. So we label it. Every property in our catalogue states plainly where the tub actually is: in your room, on your own private balcony or patio, or in a shared facility. We cover more than 2,400 hotels across 1,300 US cities in all fifty states. More importantly, every listing shows its evidence. We grade what we know about each property into tiers, and we tell you which tier you are looking at. The strongest is a photograph of the tub in the room, which we publish alongside the listing wherever licensing allows. Below that sits the hotel's own room-type name, where a property calling something a "Whirlpool King Suite" is testifying about its own inventory. Then the hotel's published amenity list, then a review from a guest who actually stayed and mentioned the tub, then the hotel's marketing description, which we treat as the weakest signal because it is the one most likely to be aspirational. A claim backed by a photograph is not the same as a claim backed by a brochure, and we refuse to present them as though they were. We also publish how often we get it right, broken down by city, on a methodology page that includes the categories where our data is weakest. That page is not marketing. It exists because a site whose entire proposition is accuracy has no business hiding its error rate, and we would rather you find our limitations from us than discover them at a check-in desk. A note on how we are paid: we do not take bookings. You finish your reservation on a partner site such as Expedia or Booking.com, and we may earn a commission when you do. That commission never changes your price, and it does not influence which properties we list or how we grade their evidence. A hotel cannot pay us to be described as having an in-room tub when it does not. We use "jacuzzi" throughout in the way travelers search for it, as a general term for a jetted or whirlpool tub, not as a reference to the Jacuzzi brand. If a listing of ours turned out to be wrong, we want to hear about it. Corrections from travelers are the single most valuable input we get, and they go straight into the catalogue. Hotel Hot Tubs was founded by Logan O'Neal and is based in Seattle, Washington.
