friendly reception staff, poor food service
An average hotel with friendly reception staff, clean but slightly tired looking rooms and average room facilities. The following is a breakdown of my rating and comments:
Room quality 3/5
Décor neat but a bit out of date. Signs of wear on carpet, no rubbish bin, blind broken, laundry bag sitting outside our room door for the duration of our stay. Air conditioning, good shower, comfortable bed. Some noise heard through the walls and someone knocked on our door at 6am looking for another room.
Value for money 3/5
Dinner and breakfast included in the price. £46 for one night. Check in time 3pm, which seems a bit late. Check out by 12 noon.
Food quality and service
Dinner 2/5. Flies all over the place and landing on the exposed food at the buffet table. Limited choice of dishes, no starter or desert. Food quality poor to average and not very appetising (chicken stomachs being one of the dishes on the buffet!). Coffee and drinks payable in addition. Service poor.
Breakfast 3/5. Good selection of breakfast items with fresh rolls, sausage, fruit and vegetables, scrambled eggs by request etc. Food quality good but all of the food was exposed with flies landing on it. Pretty disgusting and there really is no excuse for this. Service average.
