DISASTER : "Illusion Express Attraction Deluxe" Hotel

This "Illusion Attraction Deluxe Hotel in Playa del Carmen is a catastrophy.

Hotel is shown as a four star hotel on Booking.com. Would not give it even one star. Plain deceptive advertising.

Property is for sale.

Booked and paid for 21 days. Arrived on 24 March and left next morning.

Rooms have window onto hallways only. No fire evacuation instructions. A fire trap.

Receptionists are from Argentina and do not speak English.

Room had desk but no chair. Woke up next morning with cockroaches on floor, no hot water to shave or shower.

Meagre breakfast given in a box at reception. No room to sit and eat at the bar across hallway.

Cannot recommend this hotel. AVOID IT.

I am now trying to get a refund for my advance payment with Booking.com. They will not refund me as hotel will not refund them.
