I hired Hotghostwriter in January. This is my first time hiring a ghostwriting service. I’ve written and published multiple books but I needed some help with this particular story idea. Their customer service was great and the writer started to work on my project. About halfway through I noticed the whole story read like a long outline. Everything was told and not shown. I figured that the writer would go back and add in all the details but that never happened. Once the writer was finished the developmental editor went over everything and pointed out that the entire book read like a very long summary.

A new writer was assigned to my project and she was able to fix somethings but it was so badly written to begin with there wasn’t much she could do.

Once that was finished I typed a list of issues that I had and sent it to the project manager. There was no inner dialogue from the characters at all. There was hardly any description of literally anything. It was written in third person POV but was filled with head-hopping. I went through the entire manuscript and wrote comments on all the issues. I don’t think my original writer had ever read a romance book.

After this part of the process was finished it went to copy edits. My “finished” book was still terrible and had grammatical errors. I spent 3 weeks trying to fix the damage that was done. There was a ton of book stuffing. Scenes in the book that made no sense and obviously the writers were just trying to make the word count. After I spent 3 weeks fixing it I asked if HotGhostWriter could have the copy editor go over the book one more time considering I spend close to $3,000 for nothing I was hoping they could at least fix any lingering grammatical issues. Long story short they told me no.

Now I have a book that I pretty much had to completely rewrite and now I have to pay out of my own pocket to get a copy editor for. I have no idea how this company has such good reviews on here.

You are better off writing the book yourself and paying for a editor because that’s what you will end up doing in the end anyways. I wasted nearly $3,000.

**Update: I've updated my review from one star to two because HGW agreed to copy edit my story after writing my review. I still think its important that I share my experience with other writers.

HotGhostWriter was great and easy to work with. Strong communications throughout the whole project and the book came out Superb. Will use again in the future and I strongly recommend anyone use them for your Ghostwriting needs.

I'm an aspiring online publisher and I used Hotghostwriter's services in October 2019. Hotghostwriter is an excellent service and they delivered a high quality product on time. The quality of the writing is very good and they kept me involved in the whole process throughout the duration of the project.
I ordered the essential fiction package which included the cover art and formatting and it was very satisfactory. They have excellent customer service and were very easily reachable and responsive. They also helped clarify a lot of publishing and editing/formatting details that were unknown to me as a first-time publisher.
All said, Hotghostwriter is one of the best ghostwriting, editing and cover-making concierge services in existence today. I highly recommend them and definitely plan on using their services again.

Tried many different ghostwriting companies before and also went to freelancers in and out of upwork but nobody has made me feel satisfied as much as the quality that Hot Ghostwriter has given.

My style has always been getting the Ghostwriters to create a sort of "base" for me to then write over and personalize but almost all the time, the manuscript I get from the previous ones I tried were subpar and I end up either rewriting it all over myself, or just end up discarding them at the end.

But, when a friend told me about how these guys actually share a google doc where you can see the writer's progress in real time, I decided to give them a shot. I was also happy when I requested that I want to add in my own lines and they said yes. The result was a personalized book that I was really happy with.

Yes, they're a bit on the side of pricey, but for the ability to add-in my own lines and for the quality of the work I got, I believe that it's so worth it.

If all you want is a book that you don't care about as long as you can sell something, then don't go with these guys because they're expensive.

However if what you want is a book that you will be proud of because it's actually well-written and well-researched and very professional-grade, then these are your guys.

I'm NEVER going to work with anyone else but with this company. I highly recommend them for great-quality content!
