Delivery date not met and a phone call on Friday morning just saying staff absence and would now be on Monday. No confirmation and no tracking updated. 2days of work instead of 1, no apology.

For anyone on a service plan be very aware - major change to service and dealing with customers.
Recently Hotpoint has changed the way it deals with customers. You used to be able to phone up, wait to speak to someone and then book an engineer. They would come out and hopefully fix the appliance.
Now when you call the helpline it takes you though the usual press 1 if you want help, press 2 if you really want help - you know the sort of thing. But now when they are busy (which is always) it automatically hangs up.
This forces you onto the website which demands a "refundable £1" to speak to an engineer. It promises this will be refunded if cancelled within 3 days if not you will be charged £35 per month. Realistically no one can cancel with in 3 days so that a £35 charge. This is despite the fact you are already paying a monthly charge to use an engineer when needed.
What an absolute RIP OFF
