It was a fantastic experience!

It was a fantastic experience!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the ingredients were very fresh. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

It was great to be able to try all four broth flavors, but the spiciest one is definitely for those who can handle the heat! 😅

Disappointed!

Som tak for min anmeldelse modtog jeg en SMS med teksten "duck you".
I had the Mighty Meat Menu and the only mighty about it was the price.
That was some very expensive vegtables.
Had to go for a burger afterwards.
We had a good time - the fondue inspired concept is fun and rather cozy, and the staff was fast, kind and welcoming.
But never again.

Hej Flemming,

A regrettable experience

I have been visiting this establishment for years and must admit the quality has decreased.

We had booked a table and were looking forward to the experience.

Service was a bit off and rushed.

The food was fine, but the presentation was stacked, and several of the usual ingredients were now add-ons. The food used to be much more varied and delicious, and it used to be presented better.

The broths have also been altered and were more salty.

While there, the tone and demeanour of the waitresses became rushed (also there were plenty of tables available).

We were told we had about 35 min to finish and we asked for dessert and drinks.

We were still eating when the waitress came over with the dessert and expected us to clear up the table so that she could place them. Mind you, we were still eating.

We lost our appetites and decided to swiftly finish the dessert and drinks we had just ordered before paying the bill.

In conclusion, the restaurant is awful at time management. They overbook tables and rush customers out of the restaurants to make up for their mess. This is not the first time we have experienced this but decided to give them a chance or two.

We sadly won't be coming back.

Worst experience I had ever

Worst experience I had ever.
I with my partner, came from Sweden took a train to Copenhagen only for this hotpot. Because the train was delayed, I called the restaurant and told them I maybe half an hour late based on my booking time. They answered that because my booking time was from 6 till 8 pm, no matter when I arrive there, I should leave at latest 8 pm. I was bit angry.
As for the food, it was NOT hotpot at all. Trust me, I’m Chinese and I know what hotpot is. They added tomatoes to the broth and totally ruined the broth. The dipping sauce, too much ginger and it covered the taste of food completely!!!! We paid so much money and the food was very small portion! We left the restaurant with an empty stomach! One more thing I didn’t understand, why the hell they charged tap water?!!!!!

Save your money and go somewhere else

I recently visited Hot pot republic and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The service was absolutely terrible from start to finish. The staff was inattentive, rude, and seemed completely uninterested in serving their customers. We had to wait an excessive amount of time just to get our order taken, and then the food took forever to arrive.

To make matters worse, the prices were outrageously high for what we received. The portions were small, and the quality of the food was mediocre at best. It felt like we were being ripped off. For the amount we paid, I expected a much higher standard of both service and food.

Overall, I would not recommend Hot pot Republic, to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else where you will be treated with respect and get better value for your hard-earned cash.

Pricey for little amount of food. 25kr for a small bowl of rice

Pricey for little amount of food. Priced at 299kr per person excluding rice, which cost an additional of 25kr a bowl. It was ridiculously crazy priced for a bowl of rice adding to that, we had to wait for the rice to be cooked and ready to be served. We left the place hungry and had to get fast food along the way home. Never have we ever experienced anything like that. What a sad and disappointing experience.
The next unpleasant feeling was being asked to leave in the NEXT 5mins. The waitress came and unexpectedly and told us that we had to leave in the next 5mins. She could have asked briefly how dinner was and if we were satisfied, no no she just threw the message at us. I've never felt so unpleasantly unwelcomed in a restaurant before. I felt being thrown out of the restaurant which I paid for dinner. It was again shocking. Sad as well.

This was the worst dining experience I…

This was the worst dining experience I have had In Copenhagen and Denmark in 6 years of living here.

I am really really upset that I wasted so much money on this very overpriced menu. The quality was very basic and the food was very slow to come out. I have experienced Hot Pot all over the world including in China itself and this was not hotpot. I came out of the restaurant feeling hungry, which has never happened before after a hotpot restaurant.

We had two hours to eat, however the food was very slow coming out and even our kids started playing games on their mobile phones because they got so bored. By the time the food came out we had little time to cook and eat it. The waiter then came and told us we had ten minutes to finish. We were still eating. He even started taking plates from our children while they were eating. He was also watching us from the corner of the room hurrying us to eat.

It was overall a shocking experience and I feel very upset having spent so much of my hard earned money there when I could have spent it in a much better restaurant.

Great food and competent personnel

Good and competent personnel, who explained everything at perfection 😍

The food was great, very healthy and appetizing. We didn’t received the octopus as written in the menu, but it is okay, as I wouldn’t have had enough place in my stomach 😅

Great food and experience!

Quality and quantity does not match the price

I have experiences with hot pot and when I saw that there is a hot pot restaurant in Copenhagen I was very excited and I immediately suggested to my friends who have never try hot pot yet. I love hot pots however it was very disappointing experience. The dumplings and beef with pork were frozen. My bowl was broken. The heating could not properly hit the both sides of the hot pot. We pay 265DKK/ person where we have to share 2 hot pots with one box of food, which was not enough for us. The pricing is strange. If one person is getting one hot pot but 3 person also get one(in our case in the end after waiter decided to put for us 2) it is weird. If we would like to order any of more ingredients we have to pay extra. The menu just shows ingredients which we can order as extra. The menu was confusing we had to order that hot pot for 265DKK. My friend wanted something else but they did not have any of those 2 meals which was cheaper. The waiter told us timing of each ingredients how long it should be in hot pot but that was quite overwhelming we could not remember after it. The atmosphere was also not the best. It Does not look like as in website. The waiters were nice however I do not recommend this place, it did not succeed my expectations what I paid for.

This was very disappointing, and was a real letdown

This was very disappointing and I was honestly excited to try it out when I had first heard of it.

The servers were nice but didn't properly explain what came with the hot pot meals, which were priced at 265 PER person. When we asked for a cheaper alternative that was listed on the menu they told us that they were out of that soup, and we had to go with the more expensive option.

When looking at the website, the ingredients are listed but not the exact amount, and we had the expectation that given the exorbitant price we would be getting a lot more than we did, and not the smaller amount we got that we had to split amongst three people. The main thing on the website is to book a time and table, and once there we felt pressured to continue with the food and pay despite the disconnect.

They then gave us a limited amount of ingredients to use that was a lot less than expected for the price we are paying, additionally the meat was not fresh but frozen and also the dumplings, at this price I expected them to at least handmake it...

Extra ingredients were even more expensive, and seeing a table nearby with 2 people, it seemed as if they were given the same amount of ingredients as we were, and we were a party of 3.

Also, I'm not sure how it should taste but honestly most of the ingredients were bland. The most flavorful things was the dumplings and the peanut sauce, and everything else had this tasteless Ness.

If you want an authentic hotpot experience, I don't recommend this overpriced restaurant. Be aware of what you're getting with what you get and what they are charging you.

That was terribly dissappointing

That was terribly dissappointing. There were no food options even though they were listed on the menu. Basically I had to ordered what they wanted me to order!!! One picher of water and they wanted to charge us for 20 krr / glass of water. We got uneven portions, the price which I first thought is okey but the available ingredients included in the price are boring, tasteless not all of them were fresh. The place is nothing like on the videos. The atmosphere is terrible like if the staff would be already scared of the complaints. The restaurant is small and when we entered it first, there was an awful quiet atmosphere we went to the other room where at least was some music. They wanted to charge us for the water!?!? Everything what you want to have in your soup(and its not on the plate what they prepared already) cost extra. That is nothing like on the website!!! We compared the portion what we got for three person with the next table for two person and it was the same. They said the ingredients so fast we couldn’t understand it nor be able to remember how long should we cook them??? We didn’t get a timer or something,I don’t know what they expect, what should we do having a dinner while all of us on their phones, checking the timer for when we can actually eat the soup. Be prepared that they are not doing anything if you tell them your experience, we didn’t get to talk with the manager nor with any help or compansation. It was a terrible experience ruining an amazing weekend in Coppenhagen. I hope that a lot of people will see this and won’t be tricked by a good new experience offer like my friends and I was. The interior was poor the food was nothing special the experience was very bad and the price were extremely high... 1/5
