House and Home Sitters Ltd is now proudly in its 14th year, providing professional, trustworthy live-in care for homes and pets while their owners are away. Our handpicked house sitters and pet sitters are ID- and address-verified, carefully vetted, and selected for their reliability, capability, friendliness and respect for client privacy. Each sitter undergoes a personal interview and reference checks. We believe our company is only as good as the people who represent it. We have turned away sitter applicants who came highly reviewed elsewhere because they did not meet our own standards, including in communication, reliability or follow-through. We take every assignment seriously, honour our commitments, and provide a premium service at competitive professional house-sitting rates. Our reputation is reflected in excellent reviews on Trustpilot, Google and Yell, and in the many clients who return to us or recommend us to others. Unlike anonymous online platforms, we provide a personal service. You deal with a real person who remains involved before, during and after your house sit. Dave was great from start to finish, helping to find us a sitter for our two dogs whilst we had a 2 week holiday. For us, the priority was making sure the dogs were happy, secure and well taken care of in their own space. When we got home, we could see that Rachel had taken amazing care of them; they were happy and healthy and we couldn't ask for anything more.

Sarah looked after our poodle for us while we were away. From the moment we left, he was clearly besotted with Sarah who did an amazing job of keeping him happy. We couldn't be more thrilled.

We returned from holiday on Friday and wanted to let you know how fantastic Dave and Rachel were! Dave arrived the evening prior to our departure and Hugo adored him from the moment he walked through the door. In the morning Hugo ignored us and waited at the bottom of the stairs for his new BFF to appear before taking his meds from Dave (wouldn't take them from me!). I knew that we had absolutely no concerns whatsoever leaving him. Dave sent us regular updates and photos of Hugo living his best life, including Hugo playing with Archie when Rachel brought him over after finishing her sit. That was a first, Hugo has never been interested in playing with other dogs!
We arrived home to a very happy and exhausted pup and a sparkling clean house .
We would highly recommend Dave and Rachel to anyone looking for superb Sitters, and indeed your Company for finding them for us.
We've already asked them to come back next year!

Would highly recommend House & Sitters Ltd, Dave was able to find us a sitter for the weekend at short notice. His communication was prompt, comprehensive and clear. He clearly has very high standards and protocols. Our sitter Achara was fabulous, we instantly felt comfortable with having her in our home and looking after our puppy. We will be definitely using the service again and hope to have Achara again. Thank you

Bernie looked after our dog earlier this year for 3 weeks whilst we got married abroad. He was very patient with Ralph as he can take some time to warm up to strangers! They ended up getting on great and we received regular updates which put our mind at ease and allowed us to enjoy our special time away. Our house was very tidy when we got back which makes life easier after a big holiday! We would definitely recommend and hope to use his services again in the future.

Chris and Denise were excellent pet sitters looking after our 2 pets (cat and dog). They were well looked after and given lots of fuss! Our home was well looked after too. Communication was easy and we had regular updates. Thanks to Dave for finding them for us. It was extremely easy to use this company, emails were answered very promptly, and I would not hesitate to recommend them, and use them again!

David found us a great house sitter (Dave) at very short notice to look after our home and cats for a period of almost three weeks. Excellent service and we returned to find everything in good order. Will definitely use again.

This service is absolutely wonderful. We have used House and Home sitters several times and recently went away for 10 days and had the pleasure of Georgina looking after our house and pets.
We have two dogs, two cats and two Leopard Geckos, who were cared for as if they were Georgina's own pets. We received updates daily, ensuring we knew everything was well.
The house was spotless when we came back. I can't recommend Georgina enough, a lovely person. Our dogs missed her when she gone, they loved all the attention she gave them.
We can't thank her enough as it was so reassuring knowing everything was in good hands.

I contacted David Price In August requesting that I need a service for my cat. He was very helpful and he assured me that he would find a suitable sitter for my cat as I did tell him that I am very attached to her and she stresses when I leave her. When I confirmed the dates he found me a Male sitter, a 72 year old man. I was hesitant and I told him that my cat would be more comfortable with a female as I know Muzzu's personality but he reassured me that the sitter Mr Bernard was some one who loved cats and I should speak to him. I took his advice and called Mr Bernard and after our phone conversation I was satisfied with Mr Bernard to look after my Cat and everything was arranged and booked. Before the assignment I messaged and texted Mr Price to send an invoice as I wanted to pay him prior.
Mr Bernard came over and I explained him everything and went through the entire routine of my cat. I assured he’s comfortable at home. I had an uncomfortable nights sleep as I was truly worried about my cat and it was her first time with a new sitter.
Having said that I left for Dubai the next morning. I did request Mr. Bernard to please send me messages and communicate about my Cat's routine. To my surprise I messaged him a few times the same evening but he responded after 4 messages.I then called him a few times and I left messages but no response. My husband called him a few times and unfortunately we got no response. Then I got a message from him showing concern that my cat pooped on his blanket and did not eat the entire day, which worried me even more. I called him straight away but he did not pick up the phone. I was so upset that I spoke to my next door neighbour Paul and he told me he will go around to see if all was well. Paul went and rang the bell a few times and told me no one is answering the door. I became more upset sitting in Dubai on a work assignment and trying to figure out what has gone wrong. I have all the evidence on my phone to prove how many times I called him. I advised my neighbour Paul to go into my house as he has my house keys and I was worried for Bernard and my Cat. Paul went in and called me back to inform me that Bernard was completely disoriented. After talking to Paul, he told me how in their confrontation he became defensive and told him that he was ill. I then had to call my daughter and son in law who were both at work. My son in law went to the house within the hour as we were concerned that if he was unwell who will look after my Cat. I was not given any information about him being so sick as he stated. When my son in law went to the house Mr Bernard told him that he was so unwell that he could not drive home and he needed to recover. I had to tell him that i would book a taxi for him or Mo could go to drop him but still he was refusing to leave. I had to tell him that I would have to call an ambulance if he was stating that he was so sick but I needed him to leave as he was no in the right state to take care of himself, let alone my cat. When I was in the middle of this conversation my 2 work colleagues were with me who over heard the whole conversation. Zarqa and Mr Rafi can be approached as they are both witness to the stress I went through and they saw how distressed I was, when i paid for a service that was not provided to my satisfaction. The sitter was so ill that at 11:00am in the morning he was unable to get up and answer the front door. This all resulted in me shortening my trip. I had a loss of 2 days hotel fee as I had a non refundable hotel booking which I booked through booking.com.
I would be leaving Dubai tomorrow as there will be no one to look after my cat. My daughter stepped in to help keeping in mind that she is a full time working professional. The company Director had no regard and he just wrote back to me saying how good Mr. Bernard was and he was not ready to believe what I had said. I have got 4 witnesses who are ready to vouch on this account. I am a very professional and honest person. I have been shocked and very disappointed by the Director's reply that "he only had a cold". when 4 people including me heard him on the phone saying that "I cannot leave your house now as I am so unwell and I cannot drive". I would never recommend anyone to use this service and I would escalate this further as I do not want any one else to experience this. It caused emotional financial stress to me and my family.

Dave at home and house sitters makes going away so easy. Everything is arranged quickly and efficiently. Our sitter Sue is lovely and gives such confidence when we are away. I really have no concerns at all and feel that in the event of anything untoward she is more than capable of dealing with it.

We had an excellent pet and house sitter, and from a great company. Brilliant communication all round, we felt completely happy to leave our beloved babies in the care of Neil. We returned to find everyone happy and Neil had a very light touch in the house, we couldn’t really tell that anyone had been here, apart from our happy and cared for doggies. Thank you David Price and a special thank you from us all to Neil. We would definitely use you again. Thank you, Gael and Michael

We had Margaret to stay, for the second time, for just under 3 weeks, and everything went fantastically well. Our collie stayed in his own house, and got used to Margaret, again very quickly. Margaret kept us updated regularly, and took him everywhere with her. They developed a lovely bond, and would not hesitate to recommend House and Homesitters, and Margaret. We felt really assured our home, and pet would be extremely well looked after.

House & Home Sitters organised sitters Dave and Cookie to look after our house and dog for two months while we were overseas. The sitters were great and communicated well. Next time we go away, we're definitely using them again.

House And Home sitters found us the perfect house sitter. Sarah Andrews came to look after sheep, poultry, geese & a cat.
Also two horses which I think was a first for her. She arrived on time and followed our instructions to the letter.
We came home to a clean and tidy house and happy animals. Highly recommend her. A very nice person as well.

My partner and I had struggled for months to find a good, trustworthy house sitter to look after our (very needy) Frenchie. We tried many other house sitting sites and had truly horrible experiences, until we found Dave and his team! He was very reassuring and understanding from the get-go and paired us with the perfect house sitter for all our needs!
Sarah exceeded all of our expectations, she was so lovely and accommodating- sending constant updates and allowing us to video call our pup any time we asked. We have a “lockdown dog” who isn’t used to new people but he immediately loved her and was so sad to see his new friend leave. The best house sitting experience I could have asked for!

Dave quickly sorted us out with a great House Sitter called Sarah who looked after our French Bulldog whilst we travelled to South Africa for our wedding. Baloo isn’t used to strangers but took to Sarah straight away. Sarah kept us updated throughout our trip and we came home to a clean and tidy home and a happy dog. We would definitely use House and Home Sitters and Sarah again.

Bernie was a fantastic house sitter, he took great care of our opinionated geese, quirky dogs and disobedient chickens - including nursing one dog back to health after a run-in with a badger. On top of that, he kept our nascent permaculture garden and greenhouse going through the drought better than I could have! He kept in touch regularly and communication was very comfortable.

Daily dips in a shaded pool during the heatwave, highly efficient service at all mealtimes, fans and
cold drinks available whenever required and all delivered with smiles by a highly efficient, friendly
team.
This is not a review of our holiday but rather the experience of our Labrador, Cara in the expert care
of our sitters, Jan and Jim during our absence.
We were cautious about Cara being in the company of another dog, due to her rescue history.
Mindful of that, Dave suggested that we may wish to meet with Jan, Jim and their own dog, Ruby
ahead of any definite arrangements being made between us.
We all met for a short walk and opportunity to socialise and it was clear from the word go that the
two girls would get on. Both are gentle souls, of similar age (12), set routines and after a cursory
sniff, they just both went their own merry ways. Our bookings were for sitting were confirmed that
evening.
Jan and Jim are easy and excellent company, with a clear love of dogs, the great outdoors and life in
general. We enjoyed a very sociable evening together as part of our handover and departed the
following morning for our first short break, reassured that Cara would be well looked after and
happy to share her home with them all. Upon our return, far from any sign of clinging to us, Cara
headed straight out of the front door with them when they set out for a walk with Ruby, prior to
their drive home.
The welcome offered to them by Cara upon their return to sit for the second time was effusive and
accompanied by the offer of her most favourite of toys- high praise indeed! They arrived with
delicious cookies and cakes and full of plans for the week ahead. Another most agreeable evening
was enjoyed together and off we flew, with our minds at rest. It was great to see the video and the
photos of their adventures together, Cara’s happiness was evident.
Our thanks go to Dave once again for all his hard work and attention to detail to ensure such
excellent matches are made for sitters and dogs and also to Jan, Jim and Ruby, for looking after the
house and garden, but especially everything that they did to take such loving care of Cara.
We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them all to you.
