This is a scam company… BEWARE.

This is a scam company… previously named under “Premier Protection Ltd” - they have taken payment from my mothers account previously which the bank recovered, now setting up as Household Services Group, they’ve sent a letter saying “thank you for choosing to pay Household Service Group Ltd by direct debit” with a letter showing her account number and sort code, which she never provided to them, this is a huge breach of GDPR. Luckily cancelled any further direct debits and the bank is aware if any payment is requested. Disgusting company scamming thousands, how had this not been shut down?!

Retrospectively witnessed a phone call…

Retrospectively witnessed a phone call where they spent 45mins on the phone to my elderly relative whom has Alzheimer's, doing everything they could to get her bank details out of her. I heard my relative say 'dementia' but they persisted and now it's a race to get payments cancelled and stopped. How these people can trade makes me sick to the core. I am furious about this.

If you're reading this having been scammed or coerced, i'm sorry you have been too. If you're researching this company prior to engaging them, please reconsider.

Innapropriate behaviour during cold call

Hi
I received a call today from one of your staff advising me that my household appliace cover had expired, at that time I was waiting for a call from the registrar to register my mums passing, I politely advised that now was not a good time and he asked when would be,I said my my had just passed and he again asked ok but when would be a good time I actually could not believe what I was hearing and said I've just told you my mum has died to which he replied, yeah I appreciate that love but when would be the best time to call. This is completely innapropriate behaviour even for a cold called and btw I've have never appliance insurance, I completely lost my cool and told him to do one not very politely but this needs addressing it's completely wrong and horrible, has really upset me at a difficult period in my life.
If you want details of time etc to do a trace of the caller I am more than happy to provide, please sort this and train this horrible cold hearted person to have better manners.
Kind Regards
Sandra

Contacted the helpline/customer service…NON RESPONSE

Contacted the helpline/customer service over one month ago about how their caller had spoken to my elderly mother. The caller spoke over my mother (witnessed by her grandson) and when my mother said she wanted to discontinue her contract the caller (a woman) was almost shouting over her. She hung up.

They then repeatedly called her (four times) that evening. She ignored the call.

They then called back (same woman) and tried to start the conversation with opened up the call with sarcastic comment about “able to talk to you now.” Mum reiterated her desire to cancel the direct debit/contract and the woman continued to badger her - so she hung up; distressed and shaking.

Since then we raised a complaint - no response and it appears that they have taken the money out of her bank despite her expressing her wish to end the contract.

Have sent another email today - not hoping for much considering the reviews here.

Jonathan William Moore-Ayling is their company director - 14 Church Road, East Wittering, Chichester PO20 8PS (company address not personal home address).

Perhaps a formal written letter addressed to him MIGHT get some response.

As for now, will be investigating and contacting the bank to block this company and query how they took this money illegally.

Good luck everyone.

This is a scam

This is a scam. Waiting to hear back on how they were able to contact a relative and set up a DD. There were not able to explain this over the phone. Said they would cancel the DD, but contacted the bank as well.

Possible Scam - Home Appliance Insurance

Several cold calls from a 'company' claiming to sell domestic appliance insurance. This time I managed to get past their caller and amused myself feeding incorrect information to their 'manager'.

I believe that they are a scam:

1. Spoof calls from numbers that are dead or aren't serviced - eg 01594 480477
2. They provided a customer service number 0800 7780 949 which is 'out of service'
3. They claim to represent 'household service group' - which has many 'scam' alerts associated with it - this may be a legitimate company and (what I believe to be) the telephone scammers simply claim an association with it when no such association exists
4. Claim that I have previously had insurance with them (I have not) and yet did not know my address or appliances

I wouldn't even give it one star if that was possible. Absolute rip off. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from them. I am seeking legal advise to recover my money on items not received and no response from my countless emails enquiring about my purchase. Avoid at all costs.

Marketing that preys on the vulnerable

I suspect this company has hired another company based overseas to market and cold call potential clients. This marketing company preys on the vulnerable, is extremely aggressive and takes liberties with the truth, as well as ignoring TPS restrictions. You may have a legitimate business, but the behaviour of your marketing team is fraudulent.
Shame on you.

Another scam company with low life staff preying on the old and vulnerable, contacted my mother who is registered with TPS and would be clear to them that she is old and has dementia, sold a policy which was not required and totally unfit for purpose.

Scammed my 87 year old father by…

Scammed my 87 year old father by creating an unauthorised direct debit. My father denies giving Household Service Group his bank details so no idea how they got them. |He is registered with TPS so shouldn't have received a selling call in the first place. They debited £195 and called a week later saying he owed another £195 to complete the payment on his 'contract'. Luckily the bank picked this up and I managed to stop the payment. Interbacs - the company who processes the payments on behalf of Household Service Group has been advised of this scam. They will be looking into it at their next risk meeting.
