Waiting…and waiting…
Been waiting over a week for a response after submitting a ticket. Hover-helix hoverboard did not charge out of the box. No way to talk to a person, only submitting a ticket and waiting. Very concerning that so many are having same problem.
Updated: Since writing this review Hover-1 has responded almost immediately. This is part of my problem. They say they have an overwhelming amount of customer service claims this time of year but can take the time to respond to my 1 star review. I’d rather them take the time to respond to my unusable hoverboard I paid for and have not been able to use.

I brought this item for my daughter for Christmas and when we opened and tried to use the item was defected and would not turn on. I contacted the support team and they sent an email back acknowledging the fault. Now cannot get in touch with them and not answering any e-mails. Avoid this company like the plague.

Purchased a new Hover-1 "My First Hoverboard" for my daughter for Christmas. Opened it up and it was her favorite present. Plugged it in to charge fully as the instructions stated. After charger indicated a full charge, tried to power on the board, and nothing. Opened a support ticket on December 27th - had to attach receipt and did so. It is now January 16th and they have not responded or given us any sort of update.
I called the support number on their website over the weekend and got a recording that, if I needed assistance to open a ticket from the website, then the call terminated.
HORRIBLE Service.

2 new Hoverboards that don't work
I bought 2 brand new hover boards for my kids for Christmas. They opened them up on Christmas day only to find NEITHER worked. I contacted customer service for help explaining that my kids (who are still big santa fans) couldn't understand why santa would send them broken toys and asking for their help to fix it. I went through the process of sending receipts twice- obviously once isn't enough, then had to send videos of me trying to switch them on. After a number of weeks I got an email saying that it was a battery issue and due to parts shortages I was just to get a refund...
Explain that to 2 kids who believe santa brought them hoverboards for Christmas.
I'd have happily taken 2 new batteries in the post and fitted them myself but nope. It really screams of Hover-1 just couldn't be bothered.

Bought a Hover-1 Turbo Hoverboard and Go-Cart in August, to make sure we had it in good time for Christmas, my son unwrapped it yesterday and we charged it for the 4 hours they recommend, but straight away, the two green lights on the top, one is constantly red, and constantly beeping, so you can’t use the machine. Tried doing a calibration but no better, also the two halves are coming apart in the middle, it’s not even turned a wheel anywhere with the problems!! Curry’s where we purchased it don’t want to know, they just pass a non-existent phone number on. Tried the email and phone number off the webpage, with no luck also. All in all a very very poor product, we paid a lot of money for something that doesn’t work, and looks like it isn’t going to get resolved, one upset boy this Christmas. Avoid like the plague. Only gave 1 star as you cannot give none.
Replacement Product Works Great!
Replacement product was provided very quickly once they were satisfied with the information requested. The replacement has worked great. The only reason I haven't awarded 5 stars is because their response to my initial email was a bit slow.

After a scooter I purchased broke.i got intouch woth Hover-1 to ask could I have a spare replacement part. They where so quick and helpful in answering my email and any questions I had. They replaced my old scooter with a knew one. And even contacted myself to see how the knew replacement is getting along. Brilliant customer service, excellent company. THANK YOU!
Excellent customer service
We bought x 2 Hover-1 Flex hover-boards from Smyths for our children. After 3 months one of the hoover-boards became faulty. We were unable to switch it off. We sent a complaint - the customer service team were quick to respond and advise. Unfortunately it still didn't work, we were asked to send evidence. Immediately following this, the company sent a courier with a brand-new hover-board - which was a better model than the first. The customer service was brilliant and we are very pleased with the hover-boards we now have :)
My Grandsons Hover 1 Scooter
I bought my grandson an electric scooter from Currys in December 2021. In August of this year there was a problem with the tyres. I contacted the manufacturer and they did not hesitate to swap the scooter and even sent us the next model up from the one we bought. They dealt with us in a professional, efficient and easy manner. We had an issue with our original hoverboard and they dealt with the problem efficiently and arranged for a replacement to be sent out. Cant fault the customer service :-)
2 defective units
First unit was defective. (Ranger) wheels would spin constantly with no weight, even after re calibration. Contacted support email but no response. Phone number is not active. Exchanged for a new unit and this one does not charge.

Hover 1 replaced board that stopped charging
My son used his birthday and Christmas money to buy a hover1 superfly from argos. He really loved it, and used it inside and outside without issue for a few weeks. However, it stopped charging. I contacted argos who put my through to Hover 1. Initially they gave me details for a charger which I happily bought. However, this did not work either, suggesting the issue was with the board. When I contacted Hover 1 again, they happily replaced the board free of charge. This was for a slightly different model and so far we haven’t had any issues.

Hover 1 CHARGER all terrain.bad straight out the box
I bought a hover 1 CHARGER a year ago and couldn't find the receipt it's for adults all terrain well anyways after a year I'm still trying to reach customer service for them to fix it. I don't care if the warranty is out at this point I just want it repaired and will pay for the repair but the only response I've gotten is through email which says they can't help me without the receipt. They obviously do not stand behind there products. I definitely do not recommend the Hover 1 brand. One side of the bourd works and the other side doesn't. It worked right for 5 minutes. If anyone reading this can point me in the direction of someone who can fix it please let me know....

As I see that hover 1 responded with no answer as to how to fix my child's hoverbourd even after I'm offering to pay them to fix it. After reading the reviews on Hover 1 I see that I'm not the only customer who thinks this company has poor business practices. Anyway after all these negative reviews you would think they would wanna fix the problem but no lol. DO NOT PURCHASE HOVER 1 BRAND

Edited after they replied OMG the wires tore off the circuit board because the axle shaft came loose and slid apart.
Well add us to the list of unhappy people. Ordered a Ranger and kart from them. Got it and read all the manuals, charged it for 6 hours and put cart on buggy. Wife who well under their specified weight limit rode for 2 minutes, then my 11 year who is under 100 pds soaking wet was riding it when the one axle shaft came out of its housing. Less than 5 minutes ride time and it broke. Sent an email with photos [ ticket 202480] and this company denied any warranty. Really crappy product and even crappier warranty. The cart and board weren't abused or rode hard. Something failed that keeps the shaft from coming apart and this is what we get for $240 ? Never again will buy anything from them.

DON’T BUY!!!!!! We bought Hover-1 ,paid almost 300 eu in Currys shop… broke in a month. Tried to return broken item ti the shop, but they told us to contact manufacturer! So they where happy to replace the hoverboard , but it took about 3 months until they started the process ! At the very end we got message from them saying , that we have to pay for the costume duty , which was ridiculous ! The charge was 80 eu! JUST A BIG HASSLE , dont trust them

Poor product longevity and no support
We purchased a hover 1 board and it stopped charging. We contacted the customer support centre who would not help and told us we had no warranty. We have owned the product for 18 months but it failed within a year but we struggled to get support. I would avoid the company and save £150
