Excellent builders

I cannot speak highly enough about Howells Builders, they built us an extension to the highest possible standards. From the initial meeting with Richard through the whole build the company operated with prefessionalism, skill, humour (the team were fantastic), nothing was too much trouble and the result is amazing. We are so happy and love showing off our new space, which has added value to the property and made it even more homely. I would highly recommend Howells if you are looking for a quality builder.

Take no notice of Mr D Agars review

Take no notice of Mr D Agars review. It wasn’t just a garage he had built it was a large kitchen dining room as well. He ended up not having the funds to pay, intentionally we found out. He went against Richard’s advice about an internal wall he wanted, he was adamant he wanted it built. When mr Agar saw it he realised it wasn’t right and wanted to take it down without paying for it. He still owes a substantial amount of money. The problems would have been addressed but with Mr Agar’s intention not to pay it is still as it is.

The house was on Escape to the country, stating it was built by a renowned builder and well built. Funny how there are lots of good reviews, the company is going from strength to strength with an enviable reputation that says it all!

T Howell & Son Ltd garage build disaster

T Howell & Son Ltd built a new garage for us. They got it all wrong, with the roof and walls now collapsing. It was so bad, Building Control refused to sign it off. The 'charming' managing director was totally dismissive and unhelpful. 7.5 yrs on and the only reason it is still standing today is down to the acrow props we installed.

We subsequently found several other customers who had had similar experiences. Too late for us, as we now have to bite the bullet, take it down and re-build. Many thnx T Howell & Son!! :(

Avoid this company like the plague, unless you want a load of grief and significant additional expense.

PS It wasn't an option to give this review zero stars, which is why it has 1 star. I would have preferred to leave minus infinity...
