Our PV panels have had issues connecting with the net and my plant has as a consequence performed at 50% of capacity.

The customer department does not pick up the phone and emails remain completely unanswered. AVOID

I purchased solar kit from Robinsun and it was installed 29th March but the Hoymiles 800W inverter has never worked. It powered on initially but was dead within 15minutes. Ever since I have been trying to get redress via Robinsun (supplier) but despite providing video, pictures and all the information they said Hoymiles wanted to trigger their warranty I am not getting anywhere - bar a call yesterday from Robinsun who said Hoymiles were requesting the exact same information I provided 2 weeks ago!

Disgusted at Robinsun and Hoymiles for their after sales support.

Update 09/04: I have received a call today and text from Robinsun to say they will bypass usual protocols with Hoymiles and dispatch another inverter. I have told them I am happy to send old one back. Upon receipt of replacement and testing I will update review status accordingly.

Update 13/04 I received another Hoymiles inverter on Friday evening and fitted it but no lights either. So ‘Bruno’ has called and the plan is for them to test a new box AND cable (as that’s the only thing not changed) before sending to me. We will then have a video call as I install the tested hardware. Hopefully - this will finally sort issue.

16th April - despite messaging I am not getting a reply
17th April - still no response to either email or on WhatsApp until 14:17 when I received email from the Sales Director saying they would NOT be fixing faulty kit and asked ME to engage Hoymiles the manufacturer of the inverter. UNBELIEVABLE .

I have again asked for refund so I can purchase an inverter from another supplier.
AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH ROBINSUN

22nd April: Still no response from Robinsun. It has now been nearly 1 month since I received faulty kit!

April 24th:

As Robinsuns are ignoring attempts to resolve faulty kit I have ordered my own inverter via Amazon and am taking legal advise.

Their translated documentation is awful. I have a fellow translator working for Maxsun, the translation company used by Hoymiles and that explains everything. Maxsun is an abusive company that changes payment conditions unilaterally and pays the minimum fees to linguists. No wonder why the translated material is so bad.

I purchased a complete solar panel system from Griffin Renewables which included the Hoymiles micro converter model 800. Impressed with the set up, very easy to install and within the first hour was producing 715watts of energy and it was a little cloudy well it’s the UK. The Hoymiles App is simple to use and I found no issues at all.

I have bought a brand new Mikro and DTU. After installation I want to configure the system in the hoymiles app! Unfortunately there is a problem, a message shows up that the Mikro SN has been already registered!!
I open a ticket to verify the problem with the hoymiles support team. I never receive any answer!
I am very disappointed!!

We've got the Hoymiles micro-inverters up and running. Initially, there were a couple of hiccups during the installation process, but their engineers swiftly tackled the issues with firmware updates. Since then, these inverters have been performing really well. We're also using the s-miles dtu and app combo to keep a close eye on the system.
