Excessive Charges

Shall never order from this company again having received a phone bill of £5.99 for the call I made to place an order.
This is an update on my comments above, I now discover that I was charged another £4.99, presumably for carriage which I was told was free, so the £16.99 item ordered has actually cost me £27.97?!! I have also checked and my phone call was 7 mins 41 secs so £5.99 seems a bit excessive doesn't it?
2nd Update
Got a very nice reply to my comments above and to contact Customer Services to resolve the issues I have. Phoned them on their 0203 number, which I hope is not another premium number, and , in short, got nowhere so my comments above still stand.
I appreciate that the order form does state that calls cost 10p a minute plus network extras but why charge 10p a minute in the first place and then we won't suffer network charges?

HSSUK

I’m waiting for an order and clicked on check your order on the email but cannot see my order. I cannot log on as I’ve forgotten my password so requested a new one and it’s sending me a link. I have done this 5 times now as it’s just making me reset a new password. Ridiculous. I won’t be buying from here again as it’s far too much trouble trying to log in. The site could do with a bit of work as it’s badly set up.

Recently purchased the 3-tier clothes airer from Home Shopping Selections and I couldn't be happier! Not only is it economical, but it's also a fantastic space-saver for my home. The design is both sturdy and easy to use, making laundry days so much more manageable. The icing on the cake was the super swift delivery – it arrived the very next day! Ordered two bug collectors on 23 August 2023 not received by 22 September 2023. Customer services e-mail does not receive e-mails???????? Only other method is by phone which I will be paying for. What a useless rip off. Never use them again.

Nuisance mailings (Catalogue)

My aunt passed away in January 2023 and I have been dealing with all her correspondence including mailings that have been arriving at her address.

I have written numerous emails to HSS UK requesting that the information they hold be deleted and that no further marketing catalogues be mailed for data protection and security purposes.

Unfortunately, after visiting the property today, I find that yet again, they have mailed another catalogue. Not only is this an absolute nuisance and intrusive, but doesn't it breach data protection regulation if you have requested removal of said data?

I've signed up to all the mail preference services but as this has her actual home address on the catalogue, I don't know what else to do.

So if you read this HSS UK. You are the worst and if I could give no stars, I would.

Ordered a Handy heater at 12pm and received it the next day! Doesn't work great, but it is not the website's fault I think I expected too much.
I have ordered from them before and it has always been a pleasant experience.

This company defies description and…

This company defies description and belief.I placed an order today(£43.94 incl p&p).when no order confirmation arrived,I tried contacting them but email,as I did placing the order,only to be informed of a problem signing in( despite being same data used to place order)and to try again later.Having found your website,I contacted them by email(on a different machine)and cancelled this order and requested non payment to be charged to my card.Thus far,no response,surprise!

Handy Heaters

I purchased two Handy Heaters with Remote Control which were delivered within about a week before Christmas. So far so good. However, the items were worse than useless; when I held my hand one metre from the front I could feel no heat at all. I don't know how it can be claimed that they will heat a room. The ad says that the heater will reach up to 32 degrees C.
This may be so but that is the heater and not the room!
Steer clear of this product.
On the plus side, I returned them to HSS and they refunded the purchase price (NOT the delivery or return carriage) within a few days.
If something sounds too good to be true then it probably is!

I ordered an item from hssuk.co.uk over a week ago, as yet I haven't received a confirmation email, having read the dreadful reviews of this company, I wish I hadn't bothered using this company, I've tried to contact them but not having much luck on that.

I purchased 1 single item from them…Non stop mail shots.

I purchased 1 single item from them several years ago and despite repeated request by both phone and email to have my address removed from their system I still continue to receive unwanted crap mailshots. Have copied the latest request to the Information Commisioner, next step Daily Papers. Advice: STEER WELL CLEAR.

Having read many of the reviews, I can only conclude that this company has smartened up its act!
I had cause to return an item and the exchange of emails that I had with them was excellent. Upon receipt of the returned goods they refunded my money in accordance with their published Returns and Refund policy.

Just bought a flea killer for my dog…

Just bought a flea killer for my dog after getting leaflet through door, says 48hr Tracking, been waiting 4 days, no tracking number yet, but cheeky customer service called me in middle of day today asking me to PAY them to send a DISCOUNT package trial for 28 days, i did NOT check "save my address" and did not intend on them using my address for marketing purposes, do not trust this company/website its a advertising racket, Lady on other side hung up on me frustrated because i wouldnt give in to their advertisements, how dare you be frustrated at me for trying to milk more money out of me when my current package hasnt even been shipped yet.

Completely shocked out of my skin after…

Completely shocked out of my skin after leafing through their catalogue that dropped through my door. Hidden somewhere in the middle - of their 'home shopping' catalogue - that anyone, including my grannie or 4 year old nephew could easily discover - is two pages of porno videos for sale - each illustrated with really explicit photos - showing boobs and bums - leaving very little to the imagination. I'm so disgusted and shocked that this company care so very little that they are potentially exposing children to porn - and anyone else who happens to come across their catalogue. It's almost impossible for a child to retain their innocence in this day and age. We all have a responsibility to the next generation. Children should be learning good values, should play and be allowed to enjoy their childhood - but are sadly having their innocence snatched away by sex/profit obsessed aduts, such as who ever is behind this company. It's a shame I even had to put one star. This company is the lowest of the low. And it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks this. Thank goodness for Trustpilot. Hope someone can pick up from where this review takes off and shut this company down - or at least make them clean up their act.

If you return anything don't expect a refund without having to make a request several times as they have a back log in their returns department. Seems like a very disorganised company.

I was going to order two garden chairs as the offer of two chairs for £89.99 seemed really good. I now always check trustpilot before I buy anything from a company I don’t know having been caught in the past. Having read the reviews I have decided to give this Company a miss.
