They don’t care about your experience…

The Denver site has a shuttle driver that will go out of his way to make you miserable. This man should never work with the public as a representative of ANY company.
As far as the service, you won’t save using them over the other guys. They rack up the fees and at the end of the day you get poor service and pay more.

i landed houston airport 9 am nobody…

I landed at Houston Airport at 9:00 AM. I called the airport shuttle five times with no answer. The voicemail box was full, so I left an SMS message, but no one returned my call.

I also called your main office and the Denver office—same result. I waited 40 minutes with no response.

Because of this, I had no choice but to make a last-minute reservation through Priceline and rent a car from Budget. I then waited 1 hour and 50 minutes in line at the Budget counter.

This experience was extremely frustrating and exhausting.
Unfortunately, I will not use this service again.

Awful experience

Awful experience. The agent was rude and the procedure was highly unusual for me. They demanded the declaration page of my insurance and require toll pass. And were not at all helpful in understanding why they need those.

Awful experience - you have been warned!

We used VIP cars to source a rental from Tampa USA - good price for 16 days and included all additional insurances and taxes with fully covered waivers. VIP cars outsourced to Hub Rent a car (tampa) which was situated off the airport site and accessed by a shuttle minibus they laid on to encourage custom.

On arrival others in our party (23 of us hiring 6 cars) had already been queuing nearly 2 hours. There was a line of very disgruntled customers all being forced to take additional heightened liability insurances and additional taxes despite their agreement ensuring everything included. Our paperwork in fact categorically said no further insurances or additional add ons to be purchased at desk and to contact VIP cars if any issues.

People in the queue were then being told late charges were being added due to being over 15 mins late to collect. This was absurd as they’d either been queuing in the reception office (only 2 members of staff on to process volumes of people) or the shuttle bus had failed to collect them on time which was laid on by the company.

There were many arguments ongoing with many USA customers walking out in utter bewilderment! When it came to our rental - they refused to allow rental without paying them an additional $1609 USD!! This was for every car rented for our party. It was absurd! We called VIp cars who reiterated again that everything was covered and not to pay additional fees. Hub rent a car therefore refused us cars.

By this time we were in the middle of no-where with 10 very young kids in the party, it was 8pm in USA, but 1am in the morning our time & we’d just completed a very long transatlantic flight. The staff were extremely aggressive, rude and refused to even look up from their screens to make eye contact and acknowledge our presence!

We called VIP cars back and they asked to speak with the manager there to sort for us however the manager refused
To engage! Outrageous customer service and levels of unprofessionalism!

In the end I put VIP cars on speaker phone whilst they tried to engage, holding phone towards manager and she shouted back at them that unless fees paid no car.

VIP cars told us they couldn’t source something else for us and that we would have no choice but to leave and get taxi’s.
We all left paying over £150 each for taxis to our villa and then spending 1st full day of holiday trying to source another rental.

It totally ruined the holiday vibe. So many other customers also walked out. The staff were so extremely rude and clearly the set up is some kind of huge scam model to extort money.
Please be warned to stay away from this company. They are complete cowboys.

I had a terrible experience with Hub…

I had a terrible experience with Hub Rent a Car and Wisecars.com. On March 1, 2024, I arrived at Hub's Miami rental office to pick up a car I had booked through Wisecars.com, only to be confronted with a series of hidden fees and unethical practices.

Despite Wisecars.com advertising liability insurance for $19 per day, Hub's staff tried to upsell me at a rate of $39 per day. They also refused to accept my existing GEICO coverage, which was not mentioned as a requirement on Wisecars.com.

Furthermore, Hub rejected my Chase Freedom card's Collision Damage Waiver and demanded that I purchase their overpriced collision insurance. This caused the total cost to skyrocket from the advertised $46 to over $200.

The staff was rude and aggressive, using high-pressure sales tactics to force unnecessary extras and increase their profits. This behavior was highly unprofessional and unethical.

Due to these deceptive practices and the significant discrepancy between the advertised and actual costs, I was unable to rent the car from Hub. I believe that both Hub Rent a Car and Wisecars.com engaged in misleading and unfair business practices.

I strongly advise others to avoid Hub Rent a Car and Wisecars.com. Their lack of transparency, hidden fees, and unethical sales tactics make for a frustrating and costly experience. I ended up renting from Hertz, who accepted my insurance and Chase's Collision Damage Waiver without any additional fees or issues.

Save yourself the hassle and choose a more reputable rental company that values honesty and customer satisfaction.
