I was nervous about sub-contracting some components I needed for a display project, but I was well supported by the Proto Labs team. Their explanation of the process, along with good flexibility to accommodate small changes was why I chose them in favour of other online fabrication companies, and when they delivered the goods on time and exactly as specified, I was very pleased that I had made that choice.

I had two different orders with Protolabs, the first order went smoothly. The 2nd has been a complete and utter mess. Originally I was told I could receive my parts with nutplates and that I should use the network. That was not the case. The non-network side could have done my 2nd batch of parts without a problem had this promise not been made and I could have had my parts 1.5 months ago. If you want good service from Protolabs do not use their "network".

Excellent quality, response and delivery time.

I was auto-quoted one price for my batch of 3D printed parts, then I was told that my order needed review before I could place it. After review, the price increased about 13% per part. I'm disappointed at the price increase and in the delay of ordering.

Since then, the auto-quoting tool always requires me to request review before I can see any pricing on my parts. This defeats one of the main perks of an "auto-quoting" tool. My 3D parts uploaded were simple; any 3D printer could make them. Protolabs Network has lost out on orders from me because of this.

I wanted to recognize the 5 star service I have received from Aaron Schleichkorn at Hubs (now Protolabs). I have worked on several critical projects this past year that have been 100% successful due to Aaron's support to assure the proper resources were applied and that they understood my requirements.

Both the Hubs team and the selected supplier reviewed my drawings carefully. They contacted me before starting production to clear up any doubts.

Our latest prototype were not quite as good as the original units.
