I liked being able to revisit some information. Getting a correct explanation at the end of tests helped me out a bit with some things that caught me a bit off guard. Definitely helpful in learning. E... See more

It's decent content, but servers need some work. Both me and my brother's took the class over break in (separate states) and we all had issues with loading questions or tests. It wasn't too common, bu... See more

I enjoyed the class. I took an in-person class with my son and daughter 25 years ago and enjoyed that too. However, the on line class fit my timing and didn’t require spending an entire weekend in cla... See more

Very good training material and professional videos are a superb preparation - thanks to Hunter Ed - before getting a hunting license. It is a lot of material to go thru. I wrote down a lot of things and in the end it took me a couple of days to finish the final test.
The two reasons why I did not give 5 stars: a) The test questions are way too easy. Most people will master the tests with zero studying, and b) the whole education is a bit too Disney for me... no blood, no killed game, no detailed explanation on how to field dress the game

Do not fall for the scam!

They are running a scam where they get you to buy a double course (pairing hunters ed with a hunting course), but the courses expire before the hunting season even starts, and often before the hunter ed course is even able to be completed. Basically paid double for a course I'll never be able to access. All communciations from them say the course will be available at "any time" via the provided link. Guess that is a lie.

Money grabbing course system

You have 2 courses labeled the same! Both claim to get the certification required however one does not, amazing how I was directed to the one that does not, the internal help email failed with a 403 error (how convenient), so no way to rectify and therefore the only way to get the certification was to force me to pay twice for 2 identical courses.
What a scam! Shouldn’t even have 1 star, zero stars is appropriate.

I paid for the California hunter-ed…

I paid for the California hunter-ed course because I thought I had to have the specific California course. I completed the online course but then realized that I could take the hunter-ed course from a state that doesn’t require the in person class. I asked them to exchange the California course and explained that I don’t have transportation to the class in California. They absolutely refused because “you completed the course” but I only completed the online portion which doesn’t get a certificate it only gives an online class completion that you have to bring to the follow-up class. Ultimately, I paid hunter-ed for a class from another state that allows total online course completion. They have awful customer service and I will not be taking any of their other classes in the future. I had to pay for two classes. California Fish & Wildlife will not provide a disability accommodation such as let me complete the test remotely to get the certification either.
