Used Hux for utility room fitout and built in cupboards. Instead of taking 4 months it took 2 years to complete due to 1. poor workmanship (most things had to be taken away and redone) 2. poor planning (despite providing detailed specifications they were unable to translate these accurately to their own plans which we had to check and sign off) 3. Despite claims they had done this type of work before, they subsequently claimed they quoted for something different to what we specified, reneged on the original quote and egregiously revised the price.

The kitchen designer is very good and the custom kitchen is of high quality. However, the company fell short regarding its final inspection and left without checking that everything was in good order (it wasn’t).

I asked HUX to do a separate small project. After I paid the deposit, HUX advised me not to proceed because
of possible safety issues. HUX kept half the deposit and said they would refund the other half. Despite repeated requests,
HUX did not send the refund payment.

I later found another company willing to do the same work for one third of the price
HUX quoted.

The owners of HUX own a general contracting company, Zulufish,
which I also used as part of the overall
project. I have reviewed Zulufish separately. Using that company was
one of the worst decisions of my life.
