The service from the company before, during and after the bicycle purchases have been absolutely amazing! I've been put in contact with an engineer and the response times on questions, concerns, problem solving is impeccable! The amount of information and eagerness to help me find this from sales to after sales support is hoped for and hardly received by many companies, thank you!
The bicycle I bought is the Virum in British Racing Green... it looks ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! The green looks better in real life than the photos (a bit darker, like emerald green and a bit more metallic - I'm SO glad I picked this colour!).
The difference between the Virum and the Vester (fatbike) is quite stark! The virum feels like inline skats, or ice skating: very nimble, highly maneouverable, very light to carry/shift/cycle.
The Vester feels like a 4x4 that can bound over/conquer any terrain with absolute ease and disdain, a bit harder to lift/move since it's heavier though it digs into and grinds ANY terrain (mud, snow, gravel, loose sand, wet/dry/green grass)!
Bought the Virum from Hygge Bikes and honestly, I’m really impressed. It rides beautifully and feels solid and reliable straight out of the box.
What made the whole experience even better was the support - massive shoutout to Hamza who was super helpful, friendly, and genuinely made sure I was looked after. It’s rare to get service like that these days.
All round, really happy with the bike and the team behind it. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic CS they respond pretty much on the day and are extremely polite when asked questions. We have bought 2 bikes, the 2025 vester and the Aarus, I love the Vester, cool on the eye, but equally well built and feels and rides well above its price point. The Aarus is still being tested by my wife.. altogether a wonderful experience form what appears to be a well managed business.
Great service, fast confirmation of delivery and what a bike a Vester 2025. So configurable, fits me, my wife and my daughter. Great ride great performance so good we've bought another. Sensible pricing and UK legal.
Very responsive on chat when I had questions (including very late as I was filling in my cycle-to-work scheme form!). Delivery was on time. Bike is fabulous - I have rediscovered my love for cycling. Now my husband wants one!
Cant recommend Hygge enough! The bikes are top quality and really fun to ride. I've got 3 of them now, 2 vesters for me and my partner, and just recently got a virium as I loved the others so much! The service from all staff at hygge is second to none. They threw in a bunch of freebies when I told them I was contemplating a third and gave me a discount also! And the bike was at my door in a matter of days. Ive recommended these to my colleagues and 4 of my colleagues have bought a total of 6 bikes off them now and all loved it too. I can see me getting many more of them in the future too!
Excellent service from ordering to delivery. Great communication when selecting bikes from knowledgeable staff. Delighted with bikes when delivered. Great after sale service. Would 100 percent recommend this company.
tl;dr Hygge Aarhus Urban is a great bike and I have no regrets buying one.
I bought the Hygge Aarhus Urban after having a little issue with the old ticker, dodged a huge bullet and only need medication, and I need to lose some weight. I'm nearer to 60 than 50 so I decided to buy an ebike and after a huge amount of research, I decided to buy the Aarhus.
I liked the styling and the battery capacity. I want to cycle to work a few times a week, 10 miles each way, and I can easily get 2 days commute on one charge (35% left yesterday after I got home).
As I'm avoiding main roads, I will not cycle on national speed limit roads (60 mph for single carriage way roads), I found a route mainly using cycle paths and a few dirt roads.
On the way to work there is a quite steep downhill section so logic dictates the way home has a nasty up hill. In level 5 assist I can get to the top but man do I know it. I wouldn't be able to do that on a normal bike.
(PS: In response to their reply: They NEVER offered a complimentary upgrade of a brand new bike as an alternative. Take everything with a pinch of salt as I found them to have been manipulative with back and forth emails for the last 2 days with no offer of any kind of rectification or dispatch of a brand new type bike. It has been distressing- to feel that I have been scammed in this manner- )
My order number : S03866 - This review is factual and under English Law , the truth is not defamation- the company has flagged up my review as defamatory, however, my experience with Hygge UK bike company has been terrible and reflects the truth. I was misled when I was told the timescales and the type of bike that would be sold to me- and they promised to deliver on Wednesday, today. However, after payment, they wrote back saying they needed to print two keys for my Vester Folding E-Bike for which I used my cycle scheme plus transferred some cash and that it could not be delivered until the end of next week- they must have realised before promising shipment and taking my payment- which is yet to be refunded. They then bombarded me with tons of emails making it out as though it was all my fault and that I should have known- I do not recommend this company at all, I find them not trustworthy- I just think there is something not quite right and I would be worried to buy something from them in the future. I will see if I get my money back!!! Their customer service has been appalling.

The easy to use website was a great start then onto a few You Tube videos (thank you very helpful). ev bike model selected VIRUM ordered so excited not long to wait for delivery. Bikes arrived in very sturdy boxes a big plus point also, hardly anything to do to get up and going. First ride a few minor adjustments then off we went, gearing superb, together with power settings made riding effortless, the braking excellent. Why did we choose a HYGGE bike the main reason was quality components from known brands. Danish ethos and flair. Have not tried the lights yet but the brake light is a nice touch. To sum up ,very pleased a great easy to ride folding electric bike with a good range. So good we bought two.
Bought an Aarhus Step through, bad hips mean i need accessible.
bike is amazing, easy to ride - upright and a breeze round the cAnal paths.
got hooked in by a beagle in a christmas photo.
Worse customer service ever. Don't waste your money on this useless bike.

Have found my Hygge Vester to be a real asset in getting around. Reliable comfortable, reasonable price its a friend I couldnt live without now. My car never leaves the drive unless for longer distances and best of all is the backup you get if you have any issues the support team at Hygge are fantastic and are always helpful and available what a breath of fresh air cant recommend highly enough.
Bought a Vester step through with the view of getting out more for the summer. Did my research and bought Hygge on design and build quality and having watched some of the online reviews.
Hygge were fantastic , responded to my online questions and once ordered bike arrived in 48hrs and came fully assembled , ready to unfold and go.
Very solid construction and feels very sturdy. Digital controls are simple to understand and the details , the lights, hand grips and controls make it so simple to operate.
Handles all terrains, road or country lanes and ability to control suspension makes it super smooth.
Best decision for my health and wellbeing I have made for years!
Absolutely in love with my new Hygge Arghaus!
I was quite nervous about getting back on a bike after some time, but the Hygge Arghaus has been an absolute dream from day one. It’s made my daily trips to and from work so easy and enjoyable — I actually look forward to my commute now! The combination of the smooth motor and gears means I can tackle any hill with confidence and comfort. The bike handles beautifully, feels very stable, and the extra power gives me that extra boost exactly when I need it.
It’s also been a fantastic addition for the weekends, giving me the confidence to get out and explore more with my husband. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase — the Hygge Arghaus has truly exceeded my expectations and helped me rediscover my love for cycling.
Thank you so much!

We bought 2 Hygge Virum bikes.Excellent company to deal with, really good customer service, attentive and accommodating. More importantly the bikes have exceeded expectations.
Love my Hygge - Great quality, easy to assemble and brilliant customer service - The perfect ride!
Great customer care. I contacted the company for a test ride but they don’t have any distribution in NI but they got me sorted quickly with an alternative arrangement which suited very well. The Vester Step we purchased is a very sturdy folding bike that we are very pleased with. Also the helmet purchased is ideal.
I wish I hadn't bought my Hygge Soro. The build quality is very poor. I have done 200 miles and so far the lights and horn have stopped working, I am sick and tired of having to tighten up all the fastenings on the bike, the kick stand fell off and thd bolts lost, the headlight falls to one side after tightening several times, the walk assist doesnt work, the navigation will not connect to my smartphone, the wires are always trapping when you unfold it, the chain kept falling off and I have been stranded several times pushing a heavy bike. So far customer supprt has been appauling and the serice centres are so far away I cant get to them especially with a crippled bike. There is far more but too much to list. If you live in the UK don't bother with Hygge.
I notice that you have replied with not being able to find me as a customer despite the fact you have now accepted that I am a genuine customer and offered to inspect the bike and repair it. Why have you not altered this aspect of your reply instead of leaving people believing I am not genuine. Thats naughty.
