Server and website, both extremely slow due to the high ping, they don't take the suggestions and the community on Hypixel who use the forums provide misleading and hatred answers. Do not use the forums and if you are using it use it at your own cost and do not be surprised by the people there and their behavior.

So everyone is saying that Hypixel is pay to win, that it is laggy, and that the staff team is absolute s***. Think about this. It's the #1 Minecraft Server in the world. This means that they are managing thousands of servers within their servers. How do you expect about 100 people to admin all of that? Also, Hypixel isn't pay to win. I saw a review on here saying that Skywars sucks because you "can't get kits, and the only way to get kits is to win". That isn't true you get kits by kills and wins. YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY A SINGLE DOLLAR FOR ANYTHING IN THE GAME, UNLESS YOU WANT PERKS THAT WILL BARELY HELP YOU AND ARE MOSTLY FOR MAKING THINGS LIKE GETTING AROUND LOBBIES EASIER. HOW IS IT PAY TO WIN IF YOU GET COINS FOR FREE FROM BEING EVEN DECENT AT THE GAME?! Money isn't involved in being able to be on Hypixel. It's skill. People say that it's been very laggy lately. It has. In fact, its been more laggy with only 50,000 players (as of this review) Than with 175,000 players in 2020. You do realize that this is because you have to migrate your account, which the server has to authenticate, which makes it laggy-er than ususal. I do think that they could spend money on making it less laggy, but you have to check all their payments and things they have to do. 1. They have to pay their server port, their anticheat, their wifi, their website, their staff, their proxy, their DDOS protection, and many other things. They also have to make sure that they are earning a little more than that, otherwise they will be non-profit and Hypixel himself would have no job. Of course their staff isn't great because they have to do basically everything for the server. I am enraged that people think that Hypixel isn't a good server, but its made so many milestones and at one point, held 2/3 of the entire Minecraft playerbase. If you can't handle losing and don't have to patience to get good at the game, then you should just quit 1.8 pvp altogether. I get it if you do not like some lag or their staff, or how you are bad at the game so you decide to got onto Trustpilot and write a review dissing Hypixel because you can't pvp well, but seriously, if you are going to do that then just leave. A server filled with bs. I have been playing Minecraft since 2013 and have never played on a more laggy server then hypixel. You would think with all the money Hypixel has rolling in they would be able to afford the best of the best in terms of servers but no. Its a big problem in the duels mode of hypixel specifically, hackers, lag, and overall bs. Some modes within duels itself are affected so much by lag that it makes the modes almost unplayable at times, the gamemode sumo has some of the most problems on the entire server. Almost 50% of the people who play sumo cheat and bot for their titles and spots on the leaderboard and thats not even the worst problem , lag affects sumo so much to where people cant move and games crash. I have spent too much money on this server for it to be as sucky as it is.

I don't have too much to say about this server because I've only been playing on it for around a year, but it started out fine. I was getting into the pvp mechanics.
I have a lot of things to complain about it, but the games are fun. There should be at least some attempt of the server putting you with people that are around as experienced as you in games like Bedwars so you actually have a chance against people who have been playing since 2013. The server moderation is the reason why I can't sleep at night because it is so poor. They don't allow advertising, which is reasonable, but literally every single message counts as advertising. I mean, it counts "yqfgwerygfhuqrehuifhuiqher" as advertising. The next thing I have to complain about is how the server is always coming down on you for saying words like "pu**y", and I can understand why, but you have people on that server who are telling each other to commit suicide. That doesn't even get blocked most of the time because they are like MVP++ or have been in that server for over 8 years.
The server is also pure lag. I know that it is out of Hypixel's control to maintain lag because they support numerous different versions of the game, but I've lost almost 10 games of bedwars because I was kicked for getting glitched in a block. Anyways, back to the thing about advertising. It is not allowed, but if you're recording, they do every single thing to advertise the server on your vid. I've had an advertisement with the server IP on it at least like 18 times when I was just simply logging in. I mean, the server focusses on the revenue than making it fun to play the minigames.
My last complaint is about the occasional hackers on this server. You often see people getting banned for some of the most hidden clients (Mostly crossplay from Bedrock) getting banned, but they can't give a crap about people who are flying, teleporting, and some other very obvious hacks. I get that the server is more for the experienced players, but they just don't have a welcoming community for those who haven't been playing Minecraft since 2009.

bad server, pay to win, trash wifi, too many TRASH hackers that dont get banned because they have mvp, sh** community, hope this server gets lit on fire and dies

i was loving hypixel for a very long time until one day when i went to play with my friends. i tried connecting to the server but i was apparently banned fo using "unfair game advantages". i know on god that i have never cheated on any minecraft server so i believe that i was a false report or an accident. when i go to appeal the ban they reject the appeal claiming they have evidence for the ban. this evidence was never provided to me which i am unable to see why. from this point on i was unable to get in contact with the administrator who denied the appeal of anyone from the hypixel team. i had to resort to emailing hypixel support. they were of no use to me by first explaining they had no control of the review system which is clearly badly managed as after someone reviewed my claim other did not re-check to make sure the person was not just doing a poor job. they then explain to me they cannot provide evidence of my case for 'privacy reasons' but they assure me they have it. how can there be any privacy reasons if i am the one that has been photographed or video apparently hacking not anyone else. if they cannot provide evidence no matter what the claims should be dropped. a court cant charge someone and provide no evidence for security reasons can they? there is clearly a very corrupt system in hypixel an no matter what support you contact they are never able to help. i will never use hypixel again.

Brilliant server! I'm basically in love with it. I like skyblock the most but i can see why the other game modes will appeal to others. I know the servers laggy and all the hackers, but you have to recognize that the dev and staff team is small, and also, it's the biggest server in Minecraft... There's bound to be hackers and toxicity. There's really not much they can do. Don't listen to the 5 year olds who leave 1 stars complaining about the lag and hackers. If you have a solid PC and good internet, it's a really great time. Hypixel has become a part of my life and has been a really great way to socialise with my friends and have some fun. They also have never scammed me or anyone i know or given out any false bans to people i know. Ranks and SB Gems are worth buying and are completely safe. Thank you Hypixel! Definitely would recommend!

HyPixel is the best server just because it has history and too many players online.
Some of its games are buggy af and most important, is located in America. 70% of its players are European and HyPixel does nothing to improve their server's ping. They can easily open another host in Europe but yeah sorry I forgot, HyPixel cares only about the money, not the people.

My account got banned for 1 whole year for "using modifications that are not allowed on the Hypixel server." I am 42 years old and I play video games most of my life, from the Commodore 64 / Atari era. I never use any mods for the games I play, except some addons on WoW. I tried to appeal the decision or at least reduce the 1 year ban but my appeal was instantly rejected, without any explanation. I asked them to tell me what mod did I use, but they just ignore me and they close my case, so I cant even reply. Basically, they got the money from my subscription and then they banned me. Stay away

I redownloaded minecraft after not playing for 6 and a half years. Hypixel was the 1st server I wanted to try. I was instantly banned for using a VPN. Submitted a ban appeal explaining everything, also mentioned how the server rules don't mention VPN usage whatsoever, and my appeal was instantly denied. Way to slam a door in a visitor's face y'know?

HYPIXEL SUCKS. I ALWAYS PLAY BEDWARS BUT EITHER NEVER GET A GOOD TEAMMATE OR EVEN GET ONE. THIS SERVER IS SO TRASH AND STUPID LIKE CRAP. WHOEVER MAD HYPIXEL IS MEAN AND DUM.

server is very laggy i was about to win but the server lag made me lose it coulve been my 100 hypixel bedwar win but because of you people i stuuck up too 99

this server is great.
dont find many bugs and its got a good player base.
the octnoil hackers show up but get removed mid game usally

i understand why some bugs areint pacth quickly as they need to re code the plug in and also find the cause(lucky ive not found and bugs recently)

The server is laggier and has more latency than a dead chicken, hypixel support takes months to respond to requests or ignores them, and the staff don't do anything about the server's disaster (one of them was a p*** and got demoted ) It is a intolerable disaster. Games are fun, as long as you don't get killed by some without lag or get lagged back. (which if you are outside of the US happens every time)

Totally a piece of garabge, working like a pile of mess, cannot even understand. Cheaters are everywhere and the admin just skipping these trash and pretending to be blind. Lagbacks are every corner, even in front of these moderators toy eyes and they just being lazy and lying there watching people getting lag back and laughing. Making the maximum of people up to 200.000 when cannot even tolerable a 70k people? What a fk idiot server. Just buying ranks and will never getting banned or lag because Hypixel loves money. Making tons of watchdogs just to create a new vocab in Hypixel dictionary called "lag" . Terrible server!

I'm just disappointed. How come there are still so many glitches? Such as the glitch where you eat two gapples at once? Why does the BIGGEST server in minecraft have one of the absolute worst anticheats? It just doesn't make sense. I'm sick of playing on actual garbage because everyone who works at Hypixel does nothing all day. Or at least it seems like it.

Until some of these issues are fixed I will not be coming back.

for difficulty americans are in baby mode whilst everywhere else is in hardcore mode!
regardless of how good your internet americans have more consistent hit recognition and knockback everywhere else your flipping a two-headed coin hoping to get tails. only benefit is that its the only server with a consistently large amount of people online

Hello! I love playing on hypixel, but I think the website is very low quality. A "company" like that should have a better designed website. I am also struggling with coming around on the site. Maybe update the site a bit. Otherwise, I love the MC server. Keep it running.
