NEVER buy from them
NEVER buy from them. Bought a car off Cambridge auction. Please read description AND AUCTIONEER NOTES. Car in description was fine. Didn’t read the rest. Hidden at the bottom it said water leak and smoking. You would think this would be in the description but NO. Won for £3000. Overall paid £4655!!!! I thought being a solicitor was a hated job. These lot know how to cream off top.

Platform for Auction Companies
Platform for Auction Companies
They are simply the platform and do not help in anyway when things go wrong.
They should be taken down - it's all to easy for people to feel that they can use the platform but there is no vetting process to ensure the integrity ( the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles) for those bidding

Auction is a rip off
Auction is a rip off, pallet of returns had nothing of worth, supreme auctions should check before selling, was not a full pallet either only half a pallet, everything in there was damaged, pallet delivery quote at time of buying was then increased absolute con.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT
⚠️ SCAM ALERT – Brightwell Auctions Ltd (Company no. 16378734)
I almost lost £19,000 to this so-called auction company after bidding through the i-bidder.com platform. Here’s what happened:
- I won a car auction (Volvo XC90) listed by Brightwell Auctions Ltd via i-bidder.com
- I transferred £19,000 for the car and received an invoice marked “Paid”
- After 4 hours, they sent me a second invoice for over £10,000, claiming “Buyer's Premium”, extra VAT and storage fees
- I questioned the legitimacy of these fees — they began threatening with 6% daily penalties, and claimed I owed them more than £28,000
- They kept responding professionally and seemed legit at first — even had a bank account at Barclays — but all pressure was focused on forcing more payments
- Their Terms & Conditions are written in a predatory and abusive manner, making it nearly impossible for buyers to back out
- After reporting to my bank and providing all the evidence, they confirmed this was a well-executed scam and I received a full refund
I’ve reported them to:
- Action Fraud UK
- FCA (Financial Conduct Authority)
- Citizens Advice (Ref: CCA-1988607)
- Trading Standards
This company uses realistic documents, logos, VAT numbers, and even detailed invoices with Barclays Bank payment instructions — but it’s all a trap.
If you see Brightwell Auctions Ltd on any auction site, especially i-bidder, do not trust them and report immediately. I was lucky — many won’t be. All of it makes you feel it’s safe — but it’s a well-executed fraud.
Bank Fraud Reference: FRA64442
❌ i-bidder.com is also responsible:
• When I raised concerns about the seller, instead of helping, i-bidder suspended my account
• They claimed I was a “risk to future auctions” because Brightwell reported me
• This shows i-bidder protects scam sellers and punishes legitimate buyers who question suspicious activity

Do not buy any vehicles from this…
Do not buy any vehicles from this “auction” site. They have an undisclosed reserve, their timed auctions are not exactly timed once ended they post the same listing again several times later. Their stock is usually disputed ownership stock which would be standing for years before sale. Look on other forums ex employees have whistleblowed that they have been bidding on listing. Take note and spend the little extra money else where
If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid this company like the plague
If I could give zero stars I would. Advertised a seven seater rattan furniture set and what arrived is nothing as described. Read the small print and do not use this company. They are awful. Spend your money on a reliable company
Cambridgeshire auctions are scammers so…
Cambridgeshire auctions are scammers so be aware. i was charged £650 extra on hammer price of £1100, when the car was collected there were no forward gears the car had to be reversed onto the collection truck and the final repair bill was £4000. Preparing court notes as i write this.

Registering was very easy. No awkward questions
Just email and password required as well as payment method, name and address
Easy to log in . Excellent customer service. Answered all my questions. Just sometimes it's difficult to view all the lots and to remember upcoming auctions as they tell you about auctions happening a long time in the future.

AVOID SCAMMERS!!!
AVOID SCAMMERS!!!! When I have won the lot they started to add VAT AND OTHER STUFF. Nearly £3.000 on top of the price I bidded with.
They stole £1.700 of me when I have cancelled as the car had engine light on and different mechanical issues.
Please don’t do the same mistake as me . I have learned my lesson. SCAMMERS THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED! AVOIDDDDD!!!!!⛔️⛔️

Bought an item from Auction 247 via I bidder and was sent a different item to the one I bought. I was then told this can happen but it's an auction and there is no guarantees. Asked to return but wouldn't do it. So have reported them to fraud UK and various other similar agencies. Scammers!!
PLESE steer well clear of Select Assets Limited
The car I purchased at the Select Assets Ltd auction for £3500 ended up costing me £6480 with all the additional charges.
The Land Rover discovery sport shown in the photos was not the one I received. This car was the from the ministry of defence, there was a big dent in the boot that needs repaired, missing trim, holes in the roof and also a few ariels, the interior of the car was very poor with holes everywhere etc...they are lots of stickers and adhesive all over the car along. There was no V5 or number plates on the car and luckily I found the reg on a keyring,
I have not had the car tested yet to see if it is roadworthy.
I would strongly advise NOT to purchase a vehicle from this auction and don't know why i-bidder let them get away with these total scams in my opinion
Bidspotters are being run by monkeys
