Excellent Customer Service – Fair Resolution for Component Discrepancy
I ordered a Cannondale Habit Carbon 2 from IBK Bike and was surprised to receive it with SRAM DB8 brakes instead of the advertised Shimano Deore M6120 set. The DB8 brakes are significantly lower in both value and quality compared to the Shimano ones, which made the discrepancy quite disappointing.
I contacted IBK Bike to report the issue. Although Cannondale allows component substitutions without notice and declined to offer any compensation, IBK Bike stepped up and took full responsibility themselves. They offered me a €195 refund to cover the cost of the correct Shimano brakes and installation — a solution I found very fair and professional.
Their communication was quick, respectful, and focused on solving the issue, which I really appreciated. Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a company responds — and IBK Bike showed they truly care about customer satisfaction.
Highly recommended for their integrity and excellent support. I’ll be happy to buy from them again.
