Confusing, unhelpful, and unresponsive — book with caution
In regard to Roberta and Villa Bel Panorama.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience earned it. My group booked this property and tried to shift our check-in one day earlier due to a last-minute change in travel plans. The property was available and clean that day (as the host confirmed), but getting a straight answer from them was like pulling teeth.
Over the course of several hours, I was told:
• They would “check if it’s possible”
• I had to go through Airbnb
• I could pay directly by credit card
• Actually, no changes were possible
• Wait—yes, it’s free tonight and ready
• And finally… no, they “absolutely cannot change”
Calls were ignored (mine and Airbnb’s), messages were answered inconsistently, and the overall tone was dismissive. I understand that hosts have rules—but this wasn’t about policy, it was about poor communication. If they’d just said “no” clearly the first time, I could’ve planned accordingly. Instead, I got vague half-answers and conflicting info until I finally gave up and booked a different place last minute.
The cherry on top? No attempt to resolve anything or take accountability. I ended up just losing the money spent, just so I could avoid spending any more money on this company, and to avoid additional headaches.
Bottom line: if your plans are set in stone and you don’t expect any flexibility or communication, this place might work. But if you value clarity, responsiveness, or basic customer service, I suggest looking elsewhere.
Air BnB was very helpful and they tried their very best to assist me during this issue and ended up compensating me one full night, even though they had no obligation to.
