While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. Unethical Auto-Renewal & Aggressive…

Unethical Auto-Renewal & Aggressive Debt Collection for an Unused Service
We had previously used Icecat but made it clear we did not wish to renew. Without any prior notice or communication, they auto-renewed our subscription and issued a ~€22000+ invoice on the same day the renewal occurred — leaving no chance to cancel or even respond.

If you're considering using their service, I recommend extreme caution. Always read the fine print and be prepared for aggressive follow-up if you ever try to cancel.

Unethical Auto-Renewal & Aggressive Debt Collection for an Unused Service

We had previously used Icecat but made it clear we did not wish to renew. Without any prior notice or communication, they auto-renewed our subscription and issued a €4,300+ invoice on the same day the renewal occurred — leaving no chance to cancel or even respond.

We raised our concerns directly with them, but they ignored our emails and instead escalated the matter to a debt collection agency within weeks — despite no service being used and no genuine attempt to resolve the dispute.

This is not how ethical B2B companies should operate. Auto-renewing without advance warning and sending collectors after former clients over disputed invoices is an extremely poor reflection on how Icecat treats customers.

If you're considering using their service, I recommend extreme caution — especially if you're a small business. Always read the fine print and be prepared for aggressive follow-up if you ever try to cancel.

Not Suitable for Startups

The product data provided by Icecat often lacks standardization, leading to inconsistencies that make it difficult to trust as a sole source of truth. Additionally, the high pricing makes it an impractical solution for smaller businesses or startups. It also doesn’t provide a complete solution—you frequently need other information sources to fill in gaps, which undermines its value as an all-in-one product content provider.
