LIQUIDATERS CALLED IN LAST YEAR UNDER JWA ELECTRONICS

NOTE: This company traded under the name idealkit but their registered name is: JWA Electronics and the liquidators were called in last year...
I bought a range cooker from this company via amazon just under a year ago and already the warming plate doesn't switch off and has become a safety issue.
The cooker has been well cared for and I am now in the position of having to seek help, against the clock for the one-year warranty. I need help and advice asap and preferably a repair! Paid a lot for this cooker and not happy with the fact I am already suffering problems with this purchase.
Perhaps someone from IdealKit might help?
UPDATE: FAO: 'MATT.' I have already done this. I contacted the seller TWICE and they have never replied and so now amazon is dealing with them directly.
UPDATE 11TH FEB:
Still no response from the seller in spite of amazon's efforts. One last try via amazon to ask for a refund and then I will be reverting back to my credit card provider for a chargeback. This cooker is/was less than a year old and ceased to function fully and yet the seller continues to IGNORE all communications both from the customer and amazon. Appalling. I would recommend others avoid this seller at all costs. See below the response from 'Matt' and yet he/they continue with this charade/pretence of actually caring when clearly they DON'T. Still, the item was bought on my credit card and whilst a chargeback isn't a quick fix, it will address the issue in due course.
UPDATE: Did some research and apparently, this company called in the liquidators last year. No wonder they don't reply! BUSTED.

Outstanding communication from Idealkit and Panther Logistics throughout and would not hesitate to recommend for fantastic pricing and great service.

I was sent a damaged fridge freezer and…

I was sent a damaged fridge freezer and my flooring was damaged due to the incorrect manor in which they brought it in my flat, they unboxed it outside my door then dragged it up my hallway with the feet ripping into my flooring, all precautions were taken to protect my flooring. Louise tried to tell me she checked over the fridge freezer before sending it out which is a total lie as it was factory sealed and wouldn’t be able to check it over until it was unpacked. I raised this as a complaint 14 days ago and haven’t herd anything, sent a follow up email and still no response, all I have from the company in my email box is a review survey which I find insulting. Ive since reviewed the delivery company they use panthergroup and now it all makes sense they literally have the worst reviews I’ve ever seen. I found Louise’s attitude change instantly as soon as I had a issue and the blame passing started from there, trying to say it’s the delivery company’s fault it’s my fault etc etc. It was signed for damaged and the delivery company uploaded pics straight away of the damage to the fridge freezer as there was no damage to the packaging at all so it wasn’t them who caused it, it was sent like it from idealkit. I’ll be taking this matter to court, and requesting a freedom of information act to gather more evidence. this is not a company who thrive to be the best this is a company who want to take your money then do nothing if issues arises.

Fantastic customer service with a damaged product

Ordered a washing machine, and foolishly didn't unpack to check the condition while the deliverymen were still present. When I later opened it up, it had a crack on the top panel.
Contacted the very friendly customer support who suggested that the damage would probably not affect operation, but nevertheless offered me my choice of:
- A 10% refund
- A replacement top panel
- Return for a full refund
- Replacement free of charge
I went with the last option (as it happens they had run out of stock, so I even got a free upgrade to the next model up!) and had no issues at all with the replacement.
Frankly this goes above and beyond the call of duty, especially considering that their terms state any physical problems should be reported while the delivery team is still present.

5* service, best price, good comms.

Better price than anywhere else on the internet by far, plus interest free offered. Good communication and choice of delivery dates. Delivered on time, within a two hour window. Helpful delivery staff, who took away packaging. Only concern I had was when they insisted I needed a 76 inch door to get the fridge freezer through, when it should have been 76cm! Luckily it fitted through. 5 star service - no quibbles here

Be wary! They may have cheap prices, but the customer service is grossly lacking when problems arise. Overall for time and value, shop elsewhere as it will end up costing you less in time and money.

* EDITED main customer services operator is also manager/owner of company, hence bad resolution.
Packaging was blamed on manufacture as they do not do anything to package items further ready for delivery.
Couriers are blamed for damage even though they admit to using no further packaging other than what manufactures delivered it in on pallet.

I'm so sadden by there apparent lack of concern, care and customer service. I feel they use inadequate packaging for their goods and are quick to blame courier services they have contracted to deliver their items.

I felt their offer of 10% off for a damaged freezer delivered was a very bad decision on their part as they didn't even seem bothered that electrically it could now be faulty and didn't seem concerned that that could have ended potentially in causing a fire.

It came across that they expect customers to adhere to their terms and agreements, but possibley bend them themselves to the point of ignoring consumer rights a.k.a they stated on an email as the unit was in a commercial premise that the warranty wasn't valid (none of this is mentioned in their terms and agreements visible on their website and also seems to contradict some of the terms and agreements they have stated on their website).

In my case they seemed to become even more difficult to deal with when consumer rights and trading standards were mentioned.

Hope I'm an isolated case :(

Very pleased with the service

Very pleased with the service. Ordered 6pm on Wednesday got a call first thing on Thursday morning with delivery slot later that morning. Guys called on time, were very polite. Put the fridge in, assembled handles and cleared away afterwards. These guys were also the cheapest on the web. Will use again.

Great service

I was worried about using the company after the mixed reviews however everything went fine. Ordered on the Wednesday, email and text on Thursday about delivery and could track where the delivery was on the day (Friday). 2 hour delivery slot and delivered right at the earliest time. Delivery drivers friendly and brought my new fridge right into the kitchen. No issues at all and would use again.

Excellent

Rang the day before, informed I’d get a text later on to say what time delivery be.
Got another phone call fridge freezer was damaged so they upgraded at no cost.
Text and email came that night and again in morning. Driver rang to say he’d be with us within an hour and they were. Delivery men were really good, helpful, polite. They took old freezer away and put new one in as ordered and took away all packaging.
Delivery company rang me next morning to ask how delivery went etc.
Extremely pleased with purchase, cheaper then anywhere else to. Will definitely use again.

Ordered a Fridge freezer online and selected delivery day, was called on the day with a delivery slot and the fridge freezer arrived (although 30 mins after the delivery slot, but there was lots of traffic)

AWFUL, BEWARE!

Using this company has been what I can only describe as an absolute shambles. I ordered a tumble dryer off of them through amazon and was told both by text and over the phone that my delivery slot would be between 12:25 and 14;25 on Saturday. Myself and my husband waited in all day, but no one arrived. On Monday I talk to them and explain that I'm now going to have to take a day off work to receive the order and after A LOT of back and forth they very begrudgingly give me £25 off my order. THEN I get given a slot on the Tuesday of between 11:45 and 13:45, only for it to get moved back by two hours. Now I'm sat here, it's 15 minutes out of the delivery slot and still no tumble dryer, I'm wondering if this is all a scam, avoid like the plague!

Absolutely nothing to be worried about!

I know the mixed reviews may put you off but after reading a review written by someone who decided to write a review as they were so pleasantly surprised by their overall experience, I went ahead and placed my order and I have taken time out to write this review myself.
IdealKit was the cheapest price I could find on the internet for the fridge freezer I wanted. I placed my order and was given the option to have it delivered within a minimum of 2 days.
The following day, I received a courtesy call to confirm my order and delivery date. I was advised I would be given a 2 hour time slot the day before my delivery was due.
To their word, I was given a 2 hour time slot and on the day I was regularly kept updated by text and email and I also received a phone call from the delivery driver to say he would be with me within the next half-hour, which he was.
The two delivery guys (Carl and Co) were polite and friendly and brought the fridge in to where I wanted it. They unpacked it, disposed of all the rubbish before carefully shuffling it into the recess.
Great price for the product, easy ordering and delivery system, top notch customer service from start to finish. Would definitely recommend!

Yes, good price/item - BAD SERVICE. Not worth the stress.

I ordered a Gorenje RF60309OBK 80/20 Fridge Freezer - Black × 1 from Idealkit - Yes, the item is good and was a good price but NOT WORTH THE STRESS!!!
Wow, the delivery men were useless. Anyone would think they’d never delivered anything before-

- They were three hours out of the delivery slot (plus a day late - yes the staff handled that very well but I had rearranged work and then my husband had to rearrange work on the Saturday too, at the last minute, as they were so late and I had to leave. All very stressful, especially with a young child in the house and we lost money consequently. When you book a slot a week in advance you assume all will go well!)
- The delivery guys were very unhelpful/monosyllabic when I tried to call for information and updates.
- When they finally arrived, they stood around scratching their heads and almost refused to take out the old fridge, not believing it would fit down the hall (it clearly got into the house so why they’d think it wouldn’t go out again is beyond me.) Thankfully my husband was on hand to convince them, measure up and man manage! (All the while trying to keep our 4 year old and puppy happy)
- Black scuffs and marks were left on my paintwork and they managed to knock off all the numbers on my gate!
- Finally they left all the packaging on the street and left, saying they were extremely busy and so my husband gathered it all up.

Despite being ‘in a hurry’ they were spotted an hour later having a nap in their van, in the same place they’d parked to deliver my item. No wonder they’re always running late!

WILL NOT recommend them or use again. Shocking. I’ve just had a similar sized item delivered from AO - fantastic. They came when they said they would, they were normal, functioning humans who didn’t make a fuss and got on with it. I’d read some bad reviews on this website but overlooked them. We left some of this feedback on the delivery note too and yet no one has been in touch to apologise or follow up the complaint. Not good, not impressed.

poor customer service,hidden charges.

I used this company at the end of last year, there price was lower than AO and there website looks good, they sent me a text with a time for delivery I was impressed. sadly they showed up hours late and advised can not fit the item. rather aggressive and rude.I accepted there reasoning. they failed to point out other options and cost to me, when i spoke to customer services they told me not there problem were rude and aggressive. I asked for a brake down of charges and a receipt. I never received this and the manager told me to leave it alone. they should be renamed " the O.K. Corral" as they are clearly a bunch of cowboys. AVOID AT ALL COST. They also love hidden charges.

Idealkit: a disappointment.

Idealkit is a company of word but not of deed.

Polite, well mannered call centre staff agreed with me that the last minute delivery cancellation of my expensive washing machine, using a company that they sub-contract to and pay for themselves, is “unacceptable”.

They fully understand that their customers take days off of work, arrange childcare or perhaps travel far distances in order to be there for the two hour window given for delivery.
Idealkit note that if the customer is not present for this 2 hour window there will be a charge to the customer.

Unfortunately, Idealkit are not the kind of company to make any kind of amends for their wrongdoing.
One would expect more from a company which appears as successful as Idealkit; if you’re used to companies who deliver and value customers, do not use Idealkit, they may well let you down and waste your time and money.

Idealkit, you could have turned this customer’s bad situation into a business opportunity, in fact I expected that you would. Instead, you chose to wash your hands of the matter, unwilling to help.
Idealkit, I hope that you will not treat others the way that you treated me.
