We've received several unsolicited domain renewal communications from idmuk.net which are misleading and give the impression of urgent domain management/renewal action despite having no existing business relationship with them.

There are multiple similar complaints online from others describing exactly the same experience.

They've been asked not to contact us and to remove our details but haven't done so, so I'll be reporting them to the ICO later today.

I have also reported the matter to the UK National Cyber Security Centre for investigation and strongly urge others to do the same. You can forward emails to the UK governments phishing report service, the email for which you can find in a quick Google search.

I would strongly advise businesses and domain owners to verify any renewal notices directly with their actual registrar before making payments or providing information

As everyone says, this is a total scam company, claiming to be the domain registrar when they are just a bunch of con artists. Ignore (and report) their spam e-mails. Your domain isn't due to expire and even if it was they couldn't do anything to renew it as it's nothing do do with them. Never pay them. Ever. You will lose your money.

Beware of invoices asking you to renew domains. Not quite sure what they do if you pay as they will not have control of the domain name in order to renew it!
Complete scam and hopefully this tiny review will help someone avoid being scammed.

We use another company to provide our domain.
If you look at IDMUK's invoice (which is 3 x the price of the annual domain registration) it says
"domain renewal notification"
So they are charging to tell you that your domain renewal is due. I guess they have a 1 in 12 chance of scamming people. Money for nothing!

Same. They’re sending out invoices for ‘renewal’ conveniently close to the actual domain renewal dates for the domains they’re spamming. Scam.

SCAM SCAM, Received an invoice today 06/06/2026 i use Go daddy, never heard of this firm, a quick Google research reveals all:)

June 2026 - they are still running this scam, sending out invoices for a non-existent overpriced service that they pretend is a renewal.

SPAM!! As with others, a scam to re-register our company domain name that they have nothing to do with.

Scam. Don't trust.

Tried to invoice £76.00 for a domain they have nothing to do with.

A scam. I buy my domain from GoDaddy & they sent me an invoice for £88
for "DOMAIN RENEWAL NOTIFICATIONS"

SCAM! sends unsolicited emails claiming you have a domain monitoring service about to renew - ignore and block. Site looks very much like IDSUK which also has bad scoring

Received a phishing email from IDMUK.net - who appear to be based at a shared workspace in Manchester, and do not even appear to be registered with Companies House.
As per other reviewers here, I received an email from them, with an invoice, stating: "We are scheduled to extend the domain renewal notification service for the domain listed..."
But my domain is held elsewhere!
I reported this to the gov.uk email, found on the page called 'Report internet scams and phishing'.

Trying to scam pretending to be your domain registrar.

DO NOT PAY.

If you have paid, chargeback your credit card company, contact your bank, contact PayPal to get them shut down.

Read their fineprint in the email, in the middle of the disclaimer it states "We are not your registrar"

Google this with the quotes "Your digital identity deserves constant protection" to see their scam network.

Received unsolicited domain renewal communications from idmuk.net which appeared misleading and raised serious concerns for me as a domain owner.

The emails and invoices gave the impression of urgent domain management/renewal action despite having no existing business relationship with them. After researching further, I found multiple similar complaints online from other recipients describing the same experience.

I have reported the matter to GoDaddy Abuse and forwarded the details to the UK National Cyber Security Centre for investigation.

I would strongly advise businesses and domain owners to verify any renewal notices directly with their actual registrar before making payments or providing information

Sent a bogus invoice "To keep your domain renwal notification service active without interruption, please complete payment now."
Reported to: report AT phishing.gov.uk

Sent a fraudulent invoice for £178 for domain services they do not provide. Website is clearly AI generated in an attempt to look authentic. Be aware.
