A scam!

I received a rejected transaction from my bank, as this company was attempting to take money from my account. £29.95 to be precise. They had previously taken 0.15p on the 4th of February. I didn’t sign up to any offers that day. So they’ve somehow gotten my details from somewhere and it’s clearly a scam.

Scam phishing account

Scam phishing account. Received email saying
"We are scheduled to extend the domain renewal notification service for the domain listed below on 27/Jan/2026. To ensure the service remains active without interruption, please complete payment now."
The requested payment was £95 for the year. I had in fact already renewed with my existing provider for £13.00 for 2 years.

Scam domain registration hijack emails…

Scam domain registration hijack emails attempting to lure owners away from current registrar at exhorbitant fees plus potential domain hijack.

Their website states their address as 221B Baker Street! It's an elementary scam my dear Watson!🤣

Ignore renewal requests!

Received a renewal request for a domain that when googled doesn't work and we do not use. It implies in the email that we need to reply or pay rapidly to ensure service continuation. When I searched the companies website it seems very basic and none of the links to subpages seem to work. Seems a fake company, albeit a very good fake. Avoid

Domain Renewal SCAM

This company are trying to scam people by suggesting that their domains are due for renewal and that they need to pay their invoice.

Your domain may very well be up for renewal, but at the bottom of the email it states that they are not your registrar. You need to goto your registrar and renew through your normal process.

Also important is that this extortionate and unfounded request for payment is for a monitoring service and not even the actual domain renewal!

Ignore these scumbags!

Domain name scam

I too had the same email for my business. Clearly a scam. Avoid. If you want the domain name they are suggesting, just go and buy it elsewhere for peanuts. This is scam. That said, if all the reviews are for 1 star, how come TP rates it 2 stars? Very odd.

Scammers, avoid, avoid, avoid.

Had a spam email from these scammers today. No phone number, no unsubscribe link, hey they even want me to tell them all about my company in my reply to them - you'd think they'd already know this. They also have a rented postal address in Mayfair, London. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Domain name scammers

Just got an email offering me a similar domain name to one I own at £269.50 for 10 years. Looked on my usual domain registrar and for 10 years it would cost me £99.99 for the domain they are offering me.
Scammers. Nice try though.....

Why is there not a ZERO star

Why is there not a ZERO star. This company is a scammer.
Do not fall for their unsolicited email saying they are a trademark authority and then try to sell you a domain similar to yours at inflated prices.
Desperate and unethical business. Scammers

Scam

Like others, I have received an unsolicited email offering a variation on my website address for £269 for 10 years.

The variation is available on any domain seller's site for £10 per year.

A complete and utter scam!

Received a spam email telling me they'd…

Received a spam email telling me they'd had a request to register a domain almost identical to mine and I could buy it from them instead for £269.50 then after a year get a refund for 9 years worth of registration. I'm a web designer and several of my clients have also received this email pertaining to their own domain names. Firstly, the domain name in question is already owned by me, so not sure how they can buy it for 10 years for me. Secondly, if you buy it for 10 years you buy it for 10 years, you don't get refunds on domain name registration (unless it's in the initial cooling off period but definitely not after a year!) and my money is on them not actually refunding you. Thirdly, they got all sarcastic with me when I challenged them because they realised I was a web designer, but given they'd written to me offering to sell me hiawebdesign.co.uk I told them the clue is in the name... I'm not likely to be a butchers or nail salon am I??? Absolute scammers, don't touch them with a barge pole, just trying their luck trying to scare people into thinking someone is trying to take over their business. When small businesses are struggling enough at the moment this sort of behaviour is appalling.

Received an unsolicited email telling…

Received an unsolicited email telling me there has been a registration request for a domain name very similar to mine.

IDS UK strongly recommends that you register the domain name with them to prevent the other company from obtaining it, citing you have rights to "first registration".

If it weren't for the fact that you can already purchase the domain through any registrar, you might fall for this and pay their inflated price.

A misleading email aimed at deceiving companies or individuals that don't know any better.
