If you are looking for a property in this area then Steve will find it for you. His attention to detail and patience is second to none and he will go the 'extra mile' to make sure you get the place you really want. After over 12 months of looking and visiting the area (and viewing many places) we finally found the perfect property in Torrenueva (La Cala). Steve was involved in all aspects of the negotiations from start to finish and was even there to meet us to hand over the keys! . Now that we are settled in he is always available for any advice and support we need. During our last visit he called in to see how we were doing. If you are considering buying a place in the Costa Del Sol area, i would recommend that your first call should be to Steve at 'I Find Marbella'.

IfindMarbella Review

We first met Steve Dixon back in 2015, when we came out to Marbella to look for a family holiday home. We had actually been on two previous visits and where shown around by different agents. We found Steve by chance on the internet as we found his website IfindMarbella the best, most up to date and as infrequent internet users the most user friendly website. We arranged a trip to view a number properties with IfindMarbella.

On meeting Steve we immediately felt comfortable and it was obvious that we were receiving profession, well considered advice. Steve had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the wider Marbella/Estepona area and showed us a number of very good properties. Having viewed properties for 3 days, we finally concluded that we had not found anything that was perfect. You could say we were very fussy. Steve was extremely understanding and did not pressure us in any way. This made us both feel very comfortable and we concluded that if ever we bought a Spanish property we would only use Steve and IfindMarbella.

On returning to the UK we then invested in a UK property and put the Spanish holiday home on hold.

Jump forward to 2018 and we reinvigorated our Spanish property search. We contacted Steve and arranged to come out and view a specific property that was on his website. Steve met us and it was if we were renewing acquaintances with an old friend. On viewing the property we both fell in love with it and immediately arranged to visit the solicitor and put down a deposit.

Throughout the legal process Steve kept us fully informed and advised us on each step of the way. We finally acquired the property a few days ago and Steve met us at the property and explained in detail the various household systems as well as relevant contact numbers, gardener, etc.

Throughout our 3 year search we found Steve Dixon to be extremely helpful and professional and we would highly recommend Steve to anyone looking to buy or sell a property in Spain.

Having just returned to the UK from 5 year's in Hong Kong -we were a little almost depressed - as repat is 100% harder than expat for sure- so we decided to just start the process of looking for a second family home in Marbella over the Easter weekend in 2018. To be honest we thought it would take month's if not year's and in terms of the price point we set a 12 month search would give us the time to get the rest of the cash together without selling our principle home. We spent a lot of the weekend in/out of various Villa's/Apartment's and quickly focussed on what we didn't like which gave a much tighter area search and a much more focussed Monday on the internet ! We had decided that we wanted a penthouse apartment , beachside as close to Elveria that we could find and a call to Steve helped move that search on in double quick time. From the moment we walked into the apartment as the phrase goes, "we knew immediately this was the one" and in less than 2 hour's we had made an offer - with Steve's guidance- adjusted it and had our second offer accepted. Thanks Steve. That was the easy part and it was from that point that Steve showed what true customer service really is, he helped in the legal process (even though we had our own lawyer) he chased through on the inventory, inspected the property the day before we were due to sign for it, attended the completion meeting and then met us on the day we arrived so he could swap the barrels of the locks on the apartment - outstanding Steve. Even since we took possession Steve has been on hand to help with tiles falling off the wall , connection of TV and sorting out many other little irritable things. Indeed only last Thursday I called Steve to say my son was at the apartment and couldn't get the TV working, no problem to Steve all sorted within the hour.

Couldn't recommend Steve highly enough

We have now had our apartment in Estepona for 7 months and are enjoying lots of visits, we would not be there if we hadn't found Steve at ifindmarbella.......

We came across Steve by chance when we saw a property on a website that linked to ifindmarbella, well what a chance find it turned out to be!

From the moment we communicated with Steve, giving him our criteria and our list of properties that we were interested in, he gave us his full undivided attention and helped to filter properties for our first visit.

Our first visit was just after the 2017 new year celebrations and Steve kicked off the year in style for us! We told Steve we were quite fussy and it would probalably take 50 viewings for us to find something, I think we pretty much hit this figure.

When we met Steve the first time, he had arranged about 15 viewings over a few days, he had arranged all the timings through the respective agents, and came with us to all the appointments. During this first visit we got to appreciate Steves knowledge and professionalism. Any questions we had were answered thoroughly, we had never purchased a property outside of England so the whole process was quite daunting for us. He reassured us , gave us invaluable information, which ultimately helped us make up our minds and and with recommended lawyers assistance and banking arrangements, all was easily put in place.

We met Steve another 6 times to view more properties, Steve was patient with us as we discarded one after another, had second viewings and even third viewings,we eventually decided on something that wasn't the original remit! Through all this time Steve helped us along the way, with phone calls and emails always quickly responded too.

We cannot thank Steve and his team enough, he made our dream a reality and now we are enjoying that dream. We would recommend Steve wholeheartedly to anyone looking to purchase in Spain.

Best Agent in Costa Del Sol!

We decided to purchase a property in Marbella and approached a few different agents in the Marbella area with our requirements. Unfortunately, they did not listen or try to understand what we were looking for - instead they bombarded us with numerous properties that failed to meet our criteria. In a nutshell many of the other agents appeared to be looking for was a quick sale and the commission!!

Steve was recommended to us by a good friend who had lived in Marbella for over 15 years. He informed us out of the 100’s of agents in and around the area, Steve at I FIND MARBELLA was the only agent he could vouch on.

We contacted Steve the next day and he invited us round for a chat to discuss our requirements and see how he could help. The first thing that struck me was Steve’s open and honest approach, he listened to what we were looking for and then explained how the whole process would work.

We then discussed different areas and Steve identified to us a few areas that we had not even thought of which he said would have some fantastic opportunities for renovation and growth. Unlike other agents, Steve was genuinely interested in helping us find something that ticked all the boxes – he wasn’t just seeing it as an opportunity to earn some commission.

Steve also informed us he could put us in direct contact with reliable trustworthy Lawyers, Accountants, Architects, Banks, Tradesmen etc so he could provide us with the full package we were looking for. It’s so daunting when you live in another Country, there are so many untrustworthy people and companies around that it can be a minefield finding the ones you can trust, rely on and provide the service that you require.

We felt at ease with Steve and had the confidence after our lengthy discussion that he would find us our dream villa…………..

And that he did!!!!!!!!!!

After viewing around 10 different properties (some we went back twice to for additional visits) we eventually settled on not 1 but 2 ! Steve collected us each time and took us for the viewings, at no point in time did he pressurise us or try to sway our decisions. He was patient and an extremely good sounding board. I would speak to Steve a few times each day to discuss viewings and iron out all the pro’s and con’s. He was extremely valuable to us and made our purchasing decisions so much easier, we were thankful to have been introduced to him.

Whilst the 1st villa would be our family villa the 2nd would be an investment. Both requiring renovation work to meet our criteria and hopefully over the next few years both giving us some healthy growth in our invested capital.

Steve negotiated the prices for us and started the whole legal purchase. He introduced us to Juan – Steve’s recommended lawyer who did a fantastic job for us. He was so thorough and didn’t leave any stone unturned. Juan then recommended us a Tax Accountant and even came to the meetings with us to see that the process was kept as smooth as possible.

We cannot express how grateful we are for Steve’s open, honest approach. He has made the whole process so simple and pain free.
Steve also introduced us to a Bank Manager who set new Spanish accounts up and gave us quotes for all our insurance requirements. They too were extremely helpful and everything was carried out with 100% ease and efficiency.

As our villa required some renovation works to upgrade and make it into exactly what we wanted, Steve introduced us to a whole team of tradesman who are all project managed by Colin. All I can say is what a fantastic bunch of guys. So helpful, genuine and thoughtful. As we are against deadlines to have the works complete the guys have worked over the Xmas holiday period to ensure that everything is on target. Colin is such a thorough meticulous Project Manager we are delighted with the services and quality of work that he and the team are doing for us.

I am so happy to have met Steve and he will definitely be finding our next property for us! What we find with Steve is that he is so passionate and dedicated with what he does, he goes that extra mile and is at the top of the league with customer service and client satisfaction.

Steve is in it for the long term not just a quick fix like many of the other agents we have come across clearly are!

I too, like my friend who recommended us to Steve, would personally vouch for Steve and I FIND MARBELLA and I have to say in my 25 years of running my own company I cannot say that about many people.

Cue music :Mission Impossible : trying to find a villa in the south of Spain when you live on the South Island of New Zealand....it’s a long way !
I found Steve’s company ( ifindmarbella ) on line so decided to make contact. I’ve been dreaming of having a home in the south of Spain for 10 years and Steve has made that dream a reality. From the 1st exchange of emails I recognised a real professional with integrity . I didn’t make the search easy as I had a long list of very specific requirements but Steve listened, talked about priorities and then came forward with a range of different properties to consider.
He explained how it all works in Spain without making it seem daunting, talked about areas, investment potential, resale opportunities and add on costs so from the get go I had a complete picture. We viewed various villas and he took the time talk me through the pros and cons of each one without once coming across as pushy or flippant, he was always enthusiastic and 100% with you.
I started the search on my own ( was joined half way through by my British based best friend) so Steve was my sounding board . Delighted to say I made a decision and purchased a villa in Mijas Pueblo . Steve helped with the lawyer, who I gave power of attorney to so he could act on my behalf when I returned to NZ , he introduced me to the bank manager who set up my Spanish account , advised on how to get the best currency deal and generally sorted everything out.
I’m now back in NZ , contracts on the villa all signed off and all done within a month ! It hasn’t stopped there, Steve is organising pool man, gardener, security and providing help and advise on a range of questions. If your worrying about how much all of this costs, don’t, after the normal estate agents fees for finding the property everything he does is because he loves what he does, is an honest and trustworthy guy who wants to do what he can to help his clients. It’s an outstanding service and I feel I have been looked after every step of the way.....and I’m on the other side of the world !

Buying your dream house abroad is at the same exciting but also daunting when you don’t know the local laws and regulations and your only knowledge of the area is a few holidays time .
After many online searches we contacted a few months ago a number of agencies and none of them impressed us : either too pushy to «  flog us «  the first house , without having understood our needs correctly , then bombarding us with phone calls and emails or left with junior employees who showed us houses with no care or interest .
Then we came across I find Marbella and Steve and the whole experience changed .
Steve took the time to properly meet us and understand our needs . Then he explained to us the process in Spain and informed us of how he had selected partners to work with : solicitor , notary , bank , should we need these . A feeling of trust did devopp straightaway . He organised a selection of properties for us to view over two different trips over a couple of months .
He was never pushy , but always informative and always very patient .We thought it would take us a long time to find our house as we had looked on the internet for many months , but on the second trip our dream house turned up . It was not always straightforward with the vendor and took longer than expected , but up to the signature at the solicitors offices in our absence ( we gave power of attorney to a notary , which was a smooth exercise ) Steve was present and acting in our interests .
He kept us informed all the way , was always easy to reach . The best compliment we can give him is if our best friend had acted on our behalf he would not have done anything more .
We have been very pleased with the solicitor , the notary and the bank manager he did introduced us .All very professional and easy to deal with.
We have now started to enjoy our beautiful house , and once again we have turned up to Steve for recommendations for decorator , electrician ....and best supermarkets -:) We look forward to keep Steve as a friend.
Even in the UK we never had this exceptional experience with any estate agency ..

It is easy to provide good service when the job in hand is simple and straight forward. The real test of quality of service is when the underlying job is difficult. We made Steve's job difficult by choosing to buy a problem property with a complicated history! The good news is that the story has a happy ending thanks to Steve.

First off, Steve is a really nice guy and easy to deal with. He answers all of your questions quickly and efficiently. He knows the area inside out, and as a novice to buying in Spain, he got me up to speed very quickly on the areas, the system and the culture. This inside knowledge is invaluable, and if you are new to buying in Spain then you really need a Steve to guide you. No amount of google searches will give you the quality of advice that Steve can give.

Our transaction took about 10 months to complete, in-spite of us deciding to buy pretty much the first house that Steve showed us on the first day we met him. The difficulties related to the title to the house and a bank not releasing security. As I say, not simple, and that is where you really need the help of someone like Steve. We tried various ways of solving the problem, and we also started looking again, and in the end we got pretty much what we started out looking for on the same community, so it was a happy ending. Ten months from making an offer to closing is a long time, even in Spain, and in that time Steve maintained good contact, chased down the vendor and turned up on the closing to bring it over the line. Along the way Steve can help you with things like bank accounts and lawyers, and will even help you with lots of the nitty gritty practical issues involved in setting up a new home.

We have only good to say about Steve and iFind in Marbella. Steve was our agent in the area. He showed us several apartments.
