Misleading, Dishonest, Empty Promises

Misleading, dishonest, empty promises. Even after several emails and phone calls to verify shipping and deliver of my purchase, this company continues to hold my money and did not ship my product using the delivery service promised within the already delayed timeline. (Multiple delays). I verified before ordering that shipment would be a courier company during Canada Post strike. Many delays with promise to ship, however did not ship. Was offered cancellation of order and refund, but they did not. After written notice instructing to cancel order they shipped today via Canada Post when they promised they would not. Now my glasses are caught in the sea of backlog and I will not see them until well into January. Was told they are too busy answering emails and phone calls to answer emails or follow instructions. I bet they are swamped with people wanting to find their purchase.

While I understand the Postal Strike has all but destroyed many small businesses, there is a responsibility by these businesses to be honest about the impact to the customer. I should NOT have been assured Canada Post would not be used and that I would have my glasses on time with another shipping company. Good luck trying to get a refund so that I can purchase elsewhere. I was promised by Thea this would be solved today and that I would receive an email within a couple of hours. Nothing was received. After being a customer of Zenni for more than 10 years, I am sorry that I switched to this ‘Canadian Company’ when Zenni couldn’t promise my glasses during the strike. Steer Clear of iLook, not worth the trouble at all.
