Expensive, unprofessional and disappointing experience — would not recommend

I had a very disappointing and awful experience with Henrik from Imatec. I originally contacted him because I was experiencing occasional electrical faults, where the electricity would cut out when it rained. My guess was that it must be an issue outside of the house — a cable or something like that, which was exposed to the rain and leaking. He spent almost two days trying to find the issue, but in the end, he neither solved the problem nor found out which cable was leaking, but I had to pay him over 6,000 kr for his “work”.

During the process, he did not show the professionalism or expertise I expected. When I questioned the way he handled the problems, he reacted angrily and defensively instead of communicating calmly, explaining his approach, and considering my perspective. Throughout the process, Henrik appeared more interested in arguing and defending his approach than in solving the actual problems or communicating constructively. His attitude was stubborn and uncooperative, making communication very difficult. Overall, his customer service was poor, and I did not feel that he valued the client relationship.

Ultimately, I had no choice but to dismiss him and hire another electrician to complete the work. Another professional electrician I hired was able to find the root cause within just a couple of hours. The problem turned out to be a leaking outdoor lamp and a damaged cable in the carport — exactly the kind of issue I had originally suspected.

Afterward, Henrik sent me a bill exceeding 6,000 DKK - quite a high price for not solving the problem or even identifying the fault, which I disputed. Although the case was brought before Ankenævnet and decided in his favor, I personally believe this outcome was more about technical arguments than the actual quality of the work delivered. I also noticed discrepancies between the hours billed and the footage from my surveillance camera, which left me feeling uncomfortable with the billing process.

As the case had already been reviewed by Ankenævnet, I can confidently say that my review is based on my honest experience and the actual course of events.

Based on my overall experience, I would NOT recommend Henrik from Imatec.

Denne anmeldelse fra “J”, omhandler en ret lille sag om fejlfinding i hans el-installationer for 6 måneder siden. Han indklagede Imatec for “Ankenævnet for tekniske installationer”, som alle har mulighed for, da vi er medlem af TEKNIQ’s garantiordning.
Ankenævnet afviste samtlige af “J’s” klagepunkter og fandt at Imatecs måde at håndtere sagen på teknisk/fagligt, var helt efter bogen. Desuden fandt ankenævnet at prisen for det udførte arbejde var helt rimeligt.
Ankenævnet forholder sig naturligvis ikke til, om Imatec opførte sig arrogant. Men er det arrogant, at insistere på at gøre tingene lovligt, korrekt og uden fare for personsikkerhed som loven påbyder installatøren? Og er det arrogant, når man som firma ikke vil presses til at give et tilfældigt nedslag i prisen?
Det er ikke altid håndværkeren den er gal med. Fremtidige kunder er velkomne til at rekvirere ankenævnets afgørelse samt alle akterne i sagen, der blandt andet indeholder mail fra anden installatør, der tidligere havde været på sagen, men som også endte i “bad standing” hos “J”.
Det der faktisk fremkalder mest vrede er, at man som kunde kan bruge Trustpilot til hævn og forkerte oplysninger, selvom man 100% har fået afvist sine påstande af et uafhængigt klagenævn, der både består af fagpersoner og jurister
Edit: “J” har nu ændret i anmeldelsen 10 gange. Ovenstående fra Imatec er uændret. Det er først i denne anmeldelse og efter ankenævnets afgørelse, at han pludseligt påstår at de fakturerede timer ikke passer. Da han ikke har informeret hverken Imatec eller ankenævnet om den afvigelse han oplever, er det umuligt forholde sig til. Det bør vel dog nævnes, at Imatec lovede ham en rabat - og selv om kørte af sporet, så fik han rabatten alligevel.

Professional, quick and helpful

We contacted Imatec through the form on a Sunday, and they kindly replied fast and quickly arranged a suitable time for them to come within 5 days.
On the day of the appointment, they showed up and instantly started m to work. They fixed the issue quickly, and when they left, my problem was solved.
They were nice, professional and helpful.
