We would like to clarify the points raised, as some of the information stated is incorrect.

The £200 administration fee was disclosed and confirmed to your finance agent when they contacted us before making the deal. You can also confirm this directly with them( Carloans365 ). • As clearly mentioned in the vehicle description, we have carried out **FRESH Service along with FRESH MOT**, not as you are stating. You may verify this by contacting Carloans365 or Auto Trader directly. • Nationwide delivery is free for the first 100 miles, with a charge of £2 per mile thereafter, which was communicated in advance aswell. • Regarding the part-exchange, we offered a very fair price for your 2007 Vauxhall Tigra depending on the conditon, despite its being supplied with 1 key and torn seat, we accepted the vehicle respecting you. The resale price of any vehicle includes preparation, labour, and business costs and does not reflect the PX value paid.

We strongly refute the suggestion of any attempt to scam. However, if you are still unhappy, you are welcome to collect your vehicle from our Premises after covering the costs incurred for labour and preparation.

We aim to be transparent and fair at all times and encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve any concerns.

Faulty Vehicle, Six Failures, £1200

Imperial Auto Trade sold me a vehicle which experienced six component failures within the first six months of purchase, which will cost over £1200 to repair.

Although the vehicle passed the most recent MOT, I have since discovered that a MOT conducted just three days prior to that failed due to suspension issues. Then, over 1,000 additional miles were driven in the vehicle before it was sold to me.

No vehicle should experience six suspension-related failures and two leaking tyres within months of purchase. Although the suspension-related symptoms were observed just after purchase, Imperial Auto Trade states that they refuse to inspect or repair the vehicle.

I highly recommend reading the recent one star Google reviews (as well as Imperial Auto Trade’s responses) to gain a clearer understanding of what type of customer service you will receive when your vehicle experiences a failure.

Know your consumer rights and be wary of any dealer who insists that you cannot have your vehicle inspected by anyone other than them. I would not recommend Imperial Auto Trade to anyone who is seeking a reliable vehicle or honest service.

Update on 30 July 25: The vehicle has undergone no third party repairs and Imperial Auto Trade still currently have the opportunity to inspect or repair the vehicle, however, they refuse to do so.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry you're disappointed, but we feel it's important to provide clarity for anyone reading.

Prior to the sale, the vehicle underwent an AA-certified mechanical inspection, covering key systems including suspension, brakes, tyres, and steering—all of which were confirmed to be in working order with no faults. The sale took place just days after this inspection, and the vehicle also had a valid MOT.

You test-drove and approved the car, then signed an after-sales agreement confirming you were satisfied and understood that any concerns must be brought to us first so we could inspect and resolve them. Unfortunately, you chose not to give us that opportunity and instead involved third parties without prior notice.

We also note the vehicle has covered nearly 8,000 miles in under four months since the sale—well above average use for this period. With a 2010 vehicle, this level of usage can naturally contribute to general wear, which may explain some of the issues now reported.

While we appreciate the documents you’ve since provided, they do not show that any faults were present at the time of sale. We remain confident in the fairness of how this matter was handled and continue to stand by our inspection process, documentation, and customer care practices.

We remain committed to supporting our customers and offering transparency at every step.
