Couldn't have asked for a better overall experience - the guide was helpful, friendly, and fun, the lunch they provided was spot on, the rafting experience itself was amazing, and the company did their best to make the whole experience as amazing as possible.

We had a great 3 day with Brent and Olivia. They are supper organized, safe and fun!!!

Unbelievable experience. Skully & Ben were the best guides on any trip I've been on in my life, hands down. The crew worked extremely hard day in and day out, setting up everything, taking everything down, cooking, paddling, you name it, they did it. Highly recommend to anyone in the world to go down the Arkansas River with those 2. The Ferry Fullbacks will never forget taking the middle line down Seidel's Suck Hole in 4800 cfs.

Absolutely worth the trip. Everything was great and our guide, Ben, made us all feel like we've been rafting for years.

The guides were awesome. The lunches were the best I have had on these types of trips. I would recommend this company to everyone because they are the best whitewater rafting on this river. Can't wait to go back.

I've rafted with Wilderness Aware Rafting for 26 years. I've rafted with several other companies in other parts of the United States and Wilderness Aware is by far the best. Their focus on safety is outstanding. The guides are knowledgeable, funny and sensitive to special needs of their guests. I've done multi-day overnight trips with them as well as day-trips on just the most intense parts of the Arkansas River. If you want to do white-water rafting in the western U.S. - this is the company you should use.

Our whitewater ‘awareness’ was a trip of a lifetime…REALLY! My wife has been asking (badgering) me to go on a rapids-adventure for some 40 years. This past year she told me she was not going to go on any other vacations until she got this bucket-list item checked. So...for her 65th birthday, I figured it was time to accommodate the wish. I did some asking about and did a rather thorough inquiry of the internet to see what might be our options. With these done, the Arkansas River in Colorado seemed to be the best fit; close enough to our home, adventurous multi-day excursion—where she could also camp—and experience a 'few' Class 3 & 4 rapids. Little did I know Colorado this winter had record snow fall and just before our rafting adventure the weather warmed and there was copious runoff—we experienced many more than a few class 3 & 4++ rapids. Also, as a component of my review, I searched and read reviews of several of the outfitters providing service to the Arkansas River area and Wilderness Aware Rafting far exceeded others in comment and positive reviews. Well, from the first moment during the safety briefing to raft take-out, I was very impressed with or choice and experience. Our guide(s)—Demi, Rob and Dani--were OUTSTANDING!! Their professionalism, knowledge and disposition throughout the 3 days were SUPERB! There were times during the sojourn I looked ahead seeing what was to befall us and each and every time Demi, et al., worked us through the gauntlet; skillfully calling out commands so we safely traversed the heavy flow to get through the rapids. This journey was not a gentile ‘ride in the park’, but I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone but Wilderness Aware. All told, both my wife and I had an AWESOME TIME and were soooo pleased we chose, and were assigned, our guides from Wilderness Aware Rafting!
