A grave disappointment. The book ordered from this vendor took significantly longer in processing/shipping than from similar vendors. When the item arrived, it was not at all as advertised/described on the seller's website. The book was new, yes - and arrived in perfect condition. However the content was entirely different from what was described. When the seller was contacted, in writing ( and in a civil tone) to request a return and refund, it was denied. Lesson learned. Don't be fooled, and take your business elsewhere - Wish I had done so!

Seeing a number of reviews here, I was concerned if the bookseller would come through, especially when tracking yielded a "label created, not yet in system" response for about a week. But the book did arrive. This was an OOP title that was fetching ridiculously high prices in the used book market. What I received was a brand new copy at original /near original publisher's cost.

I admitted to Indoo truthfully that I ordered a book by mistake, although I'm not sure how, through ABE. I asked for a refund despite their unusual policy of not taking books back if ordered by mistake. I even suggested returning it in exchange for something else in their store that I would truly want. They refused. In over 20 years of dealing with ABE sellers I have only made this mistake twice before, and I have always been able to receive a refund with prompt return. I will never order from them again and regret there is not a way on ABE to place a review.

***3.5 out of 5.*** Deducted 1-star for lack of proper packaging on my "Summers Under the Tamarind Tree" book on Pakistani pakwan (cuisine).

Ordered brand new; however received with noticeable dents/ding along with a tear and rubbing on the back cover. NOT HAPPY.

Minus half-star for taking 15 days between ordered 9/30/2024 to received 10/15/2024. DHL was used in conjunction with USPS Media Mail.

Buyers beware. Your shopping experience will vary.
