Crooks, scammers, thieves

Crooks, scammers, utterly incompetent.
They targeted my elderly, disabled mum who has MS offering a new inverter for their solar panel system. Not only did they not install the inverter (over 2 days) but they broke the system and charged £3800 for the privilege. When we asked for a refund they only paid £2600 back. Scumbags. Disgusting scumbags.

Liars and more than likely have your data illegally

Called me and told me that the company that fitted my solar panels went into liquidation and passed on my details to them. This was a lie as they haven't gone into liquidation and dont have my details anyway.
Made a request as to where they got my details and what details they hold. Manager came on and said no idea then hung up on me.

Questionable business, poor service

Questionable business, poor service.

After clearly stating that we did not want to continue with the work, I messaged for them to refund my deposit. Two months later and after several emails I am still awaiting the return of this money.

We cancelled 4 days after the person had quoted for the solar panel meter solution, and no work has taken place so there is absolutely no excuse for them holding hundreds of pounds of deposit money which is not theirs.

This will be going to court, given there are others who have had similar experiences.

No problems with them

No problems with them , swift responses via email due to phone issues that are now resolved I have been told. All paper work was sent in an efficient manner, The representatives were knowledgeable and happy to help. Would recommend them to others.

The same thing happened to me as…

The same thing happened to me as happened to Connie (November 3rd review). A representative came to tell me the solar panel system was faulty and I, too, was pressured into buying £5000 of equipment and paying £1200 deposit. When the new batteries were delivered, I could see that my system was working perfectly. The person who delivered the new system advised me to ring the man who had advised me. he told me my system was dangerous. I rang the company who agreed that this was not true and the contract was cancelled. This was on September 4th and even after repeated telephone calls and promises to pay, I have not received the deposit back - I was sent £300 as a test payment but they still owe £950. I contacted Citizen's advice and sent recorded delivery letter which they received on November 6th. No reply as of today, November 14th. I have contacted Citizen's advice again and they are sending me a template letter to take the matter further. There is no answer to any calls. I expect the matter will go to the Small Claims Court next.

Terrible company

Terrible company, do not use. They called to say there was an issue with the solar insulation, someone came round and was very pushy and we felt forced to agree to some work and paid the deposit. Shortly after they left decided against the work and called to cancel, allowed us to cancel the order but 2 months later and we are still waiting for the deposit to be returned. The email with the bank details was deleted, they sent the money to the wrong account, CEO was rushed to hospital and the phone just rings and they don't pick up, we have had every excuse under the sun. Please do not give this company your money

Infinite liars and cheats

Infinite Energy Solutions of Colchester ONLY There are other company with a similar name.
The 5 star review by EC made the same day as my last update is clearly a plant to get their rating up!

***Never under any circumstances have anything to do with these crooks*** Customer service is non-existent, once they have your money they simply don't care.

Update 7/12/25

I can now prove they are liars and cheats. The engineer who visited at the end of September seemed to know his stuff and tidied up the shocking mess the installation engineer left in his desperate rush to get home. The units were brutally smashed up into the loft, I can see damage to the casings and I'm convinced that internal damage is causing multiple problems.

The WiFi link for control and monitoring was identified by the manufacturer Alpha ESS as intermittently dropping out so a cable link was needed. The previous system was cabled, install guy unplugged it and left it dangling! One of the things service guy did was plug it in, he told me "the battery sprang to life" when he did so and there was a small improvement but clearly still serious problems, Infinite Energy simply ignored all my attempts to get further service, of the many call back requests and "we'll look into it and get back to you" promises they never did so despite Alpha telling them to provide customer support!

Alpha said the WiFi was still interfering with the data link performance monitoring so the WiFi module has to be unplugged. In the one and only call IE have made to me after the 27/11 update to this review they offered to send an engineer but if they find nothing wrong they will charge me £250, I declined.

Alpha finally told me I can remove the module, just have to undo 2 screws and pull it from the socket. On Friday I finally went up into the loft, no floor and at 67 I'm not so agile, removed the push on cover and unplugged it. Thought I'd just see where the internet cable plugged in and found it wasn't, only been put inside to look like it was, the engineer had bare faced lied to me, they really are all crooks and liars!!! I couldn't see an Ethernet socket either, presumably both 'engineers' couldn't either so simply left it dangling, at least the first one didn't lie that it was plugged in. I've opened a complaint with Trading Standards via Citizens Advice, they're very interested and were careful to get all the company details as there are others with a similar name, this one has Miss B Millar as sole Shareholder and Director, see you in Court.

Seriously do not have anything to do with this so called company or you will bitterly regret it!!!
