An absolute nightmare

An absolute nightmare to deal with—utter incompetence and inefficiency at every level. Zero customer focus, zero service orientation, and a complete failure of processes and basic common sense. If I were in charge, I’d fire the entire so-called 'customer service' team without hesitation—useless, clueless, and not fit for purpose.

AVOID - a complete nightmare

If you’re looking for an insurance company that lowballs your payout, delays your claim, and leaves you to cover costs out of pocket for an accident that wasn’t even your fault—look no further than ING.

After years of paying for insurance and never making a claim, I expected ING to actually provide support when I needed it. Instead, they dragged out the process, refused to cover my rental car while my vehicle was being repaired (despite my policy), and gave me a completely unacceptable payout offer that didn’t reflect the cost of replacing my car.

To make matters worse, getting any sort of response from them was like pulling teeth. They held onto my car for days without informing me when I would get it back and ignored multiple follow-ups. Every day without my car cost me money, and ING simply didn’t care.

If you value your time, money, and sanity—go with another insurer. ING will take your premiums for years and then do everything in their power to avoid paying out when you need them.

I wish there was a 0 star rating…

I wish there was a 0 star rating option. They have pathetic customer service. It took 3 months + for them to create my offset account and i was overpaying on my interest as without offset account they were not allowing to switch from investment to owner occupier. I had to wait 1 hour on call queue to speak with a representative and they had no clue why it was taking this long. They have a major glitch in their system and they donot want to take any responsibility about it. Their customer complaints team have not responded to my email since a month and what else to expect from this bank. So save your money and stay away from them.

Operating in the dark ages

Operating in the dark ages. When are you going to update your systems for online ID verification.
Every other institution I've dealt with uses online digital verification to update your name or marital status.
However, with ING I need to provide a certified copy of my documents. Get with the times!

Worst experience with ING Insurance

Worst experience with ING Insurance. I raised a claim on storm damage to my house and it took 4 week for the accessor to come and review, by then the make safe team repaired the broken tile and accessor ignored that. He simply said roof looks old and so claim rejected. My whole ceiling damaged and they paid $0. My every month insurance fee is 394 AUD but in return I got $0 cover. If you want to waste your money and expecting a claim rejection then ING is the best insurance company.

Funds are not secure

Been banking with them for over 10 years. The moment I’m a victim to a scam there’s no quick action or proper assistance in recuperating funds and I’m blamed for believing it was ING that phoned. My issue is that ING prevented 1 of the scammers transactions but never blocked my account thereafter for him to succeed in his second attempt. Bank at your own risk with these guys as their processes are not as secure as one of the major banks. Will be promptly closing my accounts.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I have had the distinct displeasure of dealing with ING bank for my mortgage for the last 18 months, and have never experienced this level of inept, arrogant, and unprofessional service.

The first experience was on a call to discuss two items, adding my partner to my mortgage/title, and to discuss increasing the loan amount.

Regarding the mortgage and title change they gave legally incorrect advice which would have led to issues for us, and they were so arrogant about it they tried to blame us.

Regarding the refinance, they confirmed all the details let us know we would be fine to increase the mortgage, booked valuations, and then went silent for 2 weeks refusing to reply to emails, and saying they couldn't give any updates. Then they sent a random email saying the application was declined with not reasoning, no call, and no customer care.

As any other person would I decided to leave and refinance elsewhere, everything was completed and a settlement date was booked, I then find out that settlement couldn't go through because ING didn't engage with the new bank and forced the settlement back another 5 days.

Pathetic excuse for a bank, look at their financials and you will see a bank run by pretenders that are losing their customer base at an alarming rate. They don't care in the slightest about their customers, and don't want to retain anyone's business. I thought after dealing with Commbank it couldn't get less humanising that them, oh boy was I wrong.

This bank should close down

This bank should close down. They are unethical with their denying access to your own money.
They are so out of touch. When you call them, you have to go through ten minutes of pressing “1 to speak to …….”. When somebody finally answers they have to transfer you over and over.
I have been on the phone for three hours unfreezing my own funds. It’s infuriating. If you show your annoyance, they’ll hang up and your own money is still inaccessible.
Steer clear. This is a warning.

Do not apply for a personal loan with…

Do not apply for a personal loan with ING.
I met all the criteria in advance, 2nd best credit rating score, no outstanding debt, enough money to service the loan 3 times in addition after my expenses, stable full time job. Spoke to customer service and was told prior to applying I would be speaking with a loan specialist as the loan progresses. Loan rejected and not a single person in touch with me and now I need to go else where and repeat the process.

Beware!

ING Australia's entire online service depends on the client maintaining an Australian mobile phone number, as that's their ONLY means of sending secure codes. BUT if you go travelling, and don't maintain that phone number, you're stuffed - you can't log in to the app, you can't pay bills, you can't activate your card, you can't vary your payment limits.
I've tried and tried to persuade them that there HAS to be another way of providing one-time-passwords (eg using an online code generator like Authenticator, or a physical dongle like SecurID), but they're not interested - apathy rules!
I've been an account holder for over 14 years, but today I'm closing my accounts - I've had enough!

Absolute disgraceful customer service

Absolute disgraceful customer service. Don’t waste your time.
Had issues when opening my account. Banked 25k in a matter of weeks. Had an issue and was told time after time they would have someone contact me.
Still waiting 8 weeks later.
They just don’t care, never experienced anything like it.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! The customer service of this bank is terrible, they take your funds then don't give you access to them until you jump through several onerous hoops and give them sensitive information that no other bank has ever asked for. They put your account on hold, ring the phone number provided to be left on hold for over an hour. Then they say they won't give me access to MY MONEY until I hand over Passport details, Drivers Licence, other bank account statements, rates notices or Tax Details.

I absolutely NOT agree with comments saying it’s the worst bank ever…
I’ve been with ING since 3 years now from Australia and honestly is one of the most worth bank to me. Beeing a traveller I had so much advantages with that bank.
Even, Getting 1% bills back straight into my account , refund fees straight away without waiting …++ more advantages .
Nothing to complain about . I’m happy with that bank 😊😊😊😊

I used to love this bank

I used to love this bank. Until they treated me like a criminal. Froze my accounts and said I had to get documents approved by an official to prove I am real. I did all this. Then two weeks later, it happened again.
