Let down by exceptionally poor outsourced legal

I'd like to rate ING higher as their in-house team is actually quite good. What completely lets them down is an utterly useless relationship with Denoton (Law Firm) for new loan establishment. Dentons outsourced customer service model means that you can never really understand what the Indian call centre is saying. They hung up on my broker because they couldn't answer her questions. Bad in every respect.

1 star because can't give -10

Hi! I've been told today that the ing team hasn't been able to retrieve my money after I got scammed.
The transactions were still pending on the account when I called them, so why they haven't you been able to block them?
Also, why haven't you been able to reverse the bank transfers immediately?
Don't you have insurance that covers scams? Is this the financial safety that you are offering to your customers? This is embarrassing for such a bank! I'm so disappointed, and I will place a complaint to consumer protection too because this is unacceptable. We, the people, trust you with our money, and you do nothing to protect it.
I also told my husband what happened, and he's moving all his money out and closing his account for obvious reasons. We will tell everyone how unsafe your banking system is.

Great bank. High savings interest

Use ING for savings, cards & home loan. Every time I’ve called the home loan team, the call is answered within 2 minutes & they’ve helped with any queries. Even waived a few fees!
Their savings account provides the highest interest as of today.

Why!!!!!

I called to get funds released early in a term deposit. I was confronted by a man telling me I had to apply for my money under hardship.
I explained my circumstances was due to family domestic violence and I had to move with 2 sons and needed my money.
I said to the young man it’s actually my money I’m not applying for money under hardship why would you send me a form. He then started laughing and saying this is there procedure.
I was sent the form filled it in emailed back and I feel so humiliated on how I was treated by this person laughing and sniggering. Such a lack of respect and empathy.
Please all I’m asking for is my money to be released earlier from term deposit I don’t expect anything more.
PLEASE

Have only been with ing for nearly a year now! I will be closing my account down asap. Absolutely terrible customer service they do not care one bit about their customers. Waited over 20 mins to speak with Someone about waiting on funds to be cleared which was a financial hardship payment !! I needed to get medication, also literally my fridge and cupboard are bare need to get food also need to pay over due bills, of course said it was not on their end that there is no block on my account. the transfer was coming from a nab account and they have a much better processing time and track record than ing so. It is now 7.35pm Friday I was not able to get my medication !! Still have bare fridge cupboards no food and still needing to pay over due bills. Ing of course couldn’t care one bit about my situation no apologies!! I regret so bad leaving commonwealth bank because I know I would have had the funds that I desperately needed by now !!! Please do your self a favour !!! Do not open an account with them you will regret it. Update rang 10pm last night still same bs story oh it’s not our end it’s the other banks, explained I have had this payment before and at the time was with commonwealth and I had no problem receiving the payment !!!!! I want my money ing you criminals !!!! So I can close my account, I will be taking this further as it did also cause me to have a anxiety attack !!

poor customer service

ING mucked up a DD on a homeloan resulting in a payment of $250 in arrears. When I called to speak to them about it I was placed on hold for close to 30 mins. After the amount was cleared I asked to be transferred to someone to speak about the unreasonably high interest rate (1.35% higher than my next best investment loan through CBA). After another 15 mins on hold I was told there was nothing they could do for me due to the small amount that had been in arrears even though it was their fault.

ING used to be the bank I’d recommend to family and friends but not anymore. We’re now arranging to payout the loan which will cost them 10’s thousands in lost interest.

Anyone thinking of taking a loan with them - don’t!!

They use to have the best interest…

They use to have the best interest rates for savings accounts back in the day I'm talking 2010 to 2015 now they're greedy and holding out. Huge shame to be honest and will be withdrawing and taking my savings accounts elsewhere. Sorry!

Not a bank that can resolve issues

This bank is a complete joke. Took three weeks to try and open account and had to get call centre's help
Transferred funds and mistakenly put client number not account number. Rang call centre - they can't give me that info. Have to send email to fraud dept. I acknowledge my mistake thinking this is an easy fix. No.
I am still locked out and call 133464 told to send email, email says call 133464. I've never encountered a hellish company like this one
It should be an easy fix but no. Not in the slightest.

Staff failed to process my term deposit…

Staff failed to process my term deposit application for 6 weeks even after several lengthy phone calls and emails. Each time I call they say everything is fine we are processing it. In the meantime their interest rate for term deposits has dropped significantly. Totally incompetent. I received a response from their complaints dept saying they would get back to me in a month's time! I have given up and put my money elsewhere.

Appalling defective service

Appalling service. The process to open a term deposit is flawed. This has happened to me three times. Today, after an ID check another ID check offers no menu options so I cannot proceed. After logging in to my account it requires further ID checks. A waste of time.

ING Maximiser Account.

ING Maximiser Account.

The conditions for obtaining a reasonable interest rate on this account seem unreasonable. Initially, interest is only paid on savings up to $100,000. Furthermore, they require consistent account growth each month to qualify for a decent interest rate. If you hold over $100,000 and wish to access the surplus funds, you forfeit the interest accrued for that month. The interest rate on the balance beyond $100,000 is merely 0.05%. Consequently, if you have, for example, an extra $5,000 above the $100,000 threshold, you earn a rate of 0.05%, rather than the more competitive rate offered by other banks on the same amount. I'm uncertain if ING's terms comply with legal regulations by preventing customers from withdrawing amounts surpassing their established $100,000 limit. Please verify this for me.
