I had my 12 EDT Lessons with Jemima (IN Gear Driving School) and she was nothing short of amazing, courteous and professional.

Jemima explained in detail the rules of the road before each lesson, the reasons as to why and what a safe driver should do.

With the lessons I took with Jemima, I had a good grasp of what it means to be a safe driver, which is a lifelong skill beyond the driving test.

I had my pre-test with Jemima at the Mulhuddart Maple House route and I become confident I was gonna ace the test regardless of whatever route I was taken to.
No surprises I passed first time with only 3 minors (which were avoidable) and the Tester commended my observation and positioning on the road.

I highly recommend Jemima if you’re looking for a premium and professional experience both for the driving test and beyond.

I went in with zero confidence but Ian's a great instructor,he pushed me to the finish line with his very effective teaching skills and thanks to him I passed the first time through , Ian thanks a million and more.

My experience with In Gear Driving school was amazing! My sister recommended to me that I should do some pre-test lessons and I’m grateful that she told me to!
I booked some pre-test sessions with Eileen before my driving test in Finglas and I couldn’t believe how much more confident I became when driving. Eileen is incredible; she is so encouraging, knowledgeable and friendly too! You feel totally at ease with her and her advice is what I feel truly made the difference when I went for the test this time, as I was more confident and I ended up passing the test!!

I completed my 12 EDT lessons with ingear driving school and I had a very positive experience. As a nervous driver, Sudakaran had a very calming influence, he was clear with instructions, calm and very positive. I would recommend them to anyone and will continue to get more lessons to help me pass my test.

I had an amazing driving experience with an amazing instructor ,Vicky, which is professional, patient and very helpful! Always so honest about both my faults and my progress, which made me so confident and willing shortly to take my first attempt on passing my driving test! Highly recommend this great lady in the best way possible!!

I passed my driving test today on the first attempt, and I’m really grateful to IN Gear Driving School. A huge thank you to Sinead for her patience, clear guidance, and support throughout all of my lessons. She helped me build real confidence behind the wheel and made the whole process feel straightforward. I definitely recommend her and IN Gear to anyone learning to drive.

I passed my driving test yesterday!! Many thanks to James at IN Gear for being a wonderfully patient and positive instructor.

I felt I was a hopeless case. I had gone to other driving schools over several years such as ISM but James at IN Gear was determined I would pass and had a no nonsense approach. I only needed a handful of lessons with him. He was strict and wouldn't let me make mistakes or have bad habits but he was also very kind and encouraging and always positive that I would pass!

I did the test in James' car which was a first for me as I had done previous tests in my own (older) car. This was on James' advice and he was right - his car was newer, smoother, quieter and easier to manage on the day, giving a better impression to the tester.

The driving test at Raheny was a very positive experience thanks to the confidence James gave me and I am still THRILLED that I passed! Thank you James, I am so grateful.

Eileen was a fabulous teacher for my daughter's driving lessons. She was kind, patient and flexible. We would highly recommend her and In Gear driving school. We'll definitely book pre test lessons with Eileen too 😁

I had driving lessons with Vicki and a pre test she was great and gave me great guidance on what to work on the week before my test and I passed my full test first time

Passed my test this morning with only two marks grade 2, after having 17 marks grade 2 on my last test with the different driving school.
Petra was amazing and thanks to her I corrected my driving and was able to do great job on my test this morning.
Couldn't recommend Petra and IN Gear driving school more.

I couldn’t recommend in gear more, jacky was a great instructor especially for someone who gets highly stressed in certain situations she helped me with everything she was a funny and great instructor to have and helped me from start to finish. couldn’t recommend more

In Gear Driving School

Ian, who is part of In Gear Driving School a top-tier, high-excellence driving school — is, without a doubt, an outstanding professional. Calm, incredibly patient, and with explanations that are clear, objective, and precise — above all, he demonstrates a level of honesty and integrity that is truly rare. I passed my driving test thanks to his flawless guidance.

Even though I already had prior experience and took lessons with highly rated instructors from well-known driving schools like National Driving School, ISM Driving School, and reputable private instructors, none of them came close to the level of excellence I found at In Gear, especially with Ian.

Unfortunately, some instructors omitted crucial information — which I only discovered later through YouTube — and others reacted with impatience or even hostility when I made mistakes, without even stopping to listen to my questions or provide proper clarification.

Teaching goes far beyond simply transferring technical knowledge. It requires empathy, active listening, and effective communication. Ian embodies all of these qualities with excellence. He was the only truly complete instructor I found throughout my entire learning journey.

If anyone ever asks me for a recommendation, I won’t hesitate — Ian, from In Gear Driving School, is the one and only name I’ll give.

CATHERINE at In Gear Driving School got me a pass 1st time!!! Doing lessons with Paul and I have to say he’s one of the best instructors he’s learned me so much and helped me alot he’s an instructor who wants you to pass not an instructor who sits there and wants to go on a little drive
