My First Order
I ordered a mixed case of 12wies.
It arrived promptly which was pleasing. they were well packaged.
The wines were all good, a mixture of reds and whites from a number of different countries.
I enjoyed the opportunity to try good wines that were new to me that I ordinarily would not have bought.

Although I am sorry we didn't quite hit the spot 100% for you on this occasion. It is possible to add a gift note to wines being sent as gifts, you just need to type your message into the 'Order Notes' box on the checkout page and we'll pop a note in the box. It's obvious though that we don't currently make that clear enough on our site so it's something the team will definitely take a look at improving.

Outstanding personalised service
With lockdown in place I was organising a virtual night in with some girlfriends and searched online for some letterbox wines. Pretty well everywhere was out of stock (not surprising!). I emailed Inspiring Wines to ask when they would have stock and received a very quick, friendly and helpful response from Dean. As letterbox wines were not going to be available in time for my event, he suggested some standard wine bottles and a great deal on price.
We had an organic Chilean Sauvignon Blanc which was delicious. It arrived extremely well packaged in an inflatable plastic jacket inside a cardboard box.
What impressed me the post was the extremely helpful and personalised service Dean provided. He could not have done more and I will definitely be using this company again.

Thank you so much for the kind words, for a small business like ours they are very much appreciated. We do understand your frustration with some of the packaging we currently use, we are working hard trying to source fully recyclable bottle packaging that is as good at protecting bottles in transit as the 'airbags'. We have to work on very tight margins to compete with the bigger companies and supermarkets and so have to make sure we lose as few bottles as possible in transit (for which there is no recompense). Unfortunately at present, there isn't a fully recyclable option on the market that performs as well as the airbags so we have to accept the trade-off. Rest assured however we are not particularly happy ourselves continuing to use the plastic and we are on the hunt for a better solution. We will have to continue to use the airbags for now but we hope to have a more eco-friendly solution in place within months rather than years.
Our understanding is, the plastic bags once deflated are recyclable in local authority areas that recycle carrier bags and plastic sheeting. Unfortunately though, right now that's not everywhere.
