Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 571 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers express significant dissatisfaction with the platform's social media policies, noting inconsistencies in content moderation and the arbitrary removal of accounts without clear explanations. Users frequently report issues with the app and website, including glitches, complicated menus, and broken functionalities, making basic tasks like logging in or changing passwords frustrating. A common complaint revolves around the customer service, which is often described as non-existent, automated, unhelpful, and unresponsive to inquiries, especially concerning account suspensions or hacks. Some people also felt that the platform pushes unwanted political content and fails to address reports of harmful or inappropriate material, while others appreciate the app for sharing moments, connecting with people, and discovering creative content. A few other people also felt that the app is great for watching and editing reels, and for businesses to promote their art.

Disabled account

Hello Meta Pro Team,

I am writing one final time regarding my Instagram account.

I was a content creator and blogger on Instagram, and I spent years building this account and community. The account had over 80,000 followers, and I invested significant time, effort, and money into creating content and growing my presence on the platform.

For this reason, it is very difficult for me to understand why the account was permanently disabled. I have never intentionally violated Instagram’s policies, used spam, bots, or fake engagement.

I respectfully ask if my case can be reviewed once more to ensure that no mistake has been made. Losing an account that I worked so hard to build has had a significant impact on me.

If the decision cannot be changed, I would sincerely appreciate a clear explanation of the specific violation that resulted in the permanent disablement of my account.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Kind regards,

Disable our business account without any reason

We had an instagram business account that is connected to our Shopify shop and everything , we followed the instructions and buy the tools , set up meta business and ads manager and everything , we invested a lot for the business account in the past 6 years. Suddenly today this afternoon, our account got disabled permanently without any reason, should we file a complain and sue the instagram company , what they did caused a lot of damages to our business.

Nightmare on Instagram street

What a company to try and resolve an issue with. You cannot talk to anyone, you are at the mercy of AI and
bots who have no understanding of a problem. We are a small friendly rambling group in Wales who encourage members to come and join us - to make new friends and to promote health and well being. Apparently we were permanently deleted for the following reason " Your account, or activity on it, doesn't follow our Community Standards." And all we did was to post shorts of our walks to highlight the beauty of our walks for around 60 seconds. Ludicrous.
Especially as we serve the community.
We had spent a lot of work on this account despite it being open only for around two weeks. It was shut down and that was it. We sent over the code from the email, phone and a selfie, but no, it was still shut down. And do you think we could actually talk to anyone directly - again no. I come from an era where you could actually pick up a phone and speak to a human being. Technology has a lot to answer for. So we have sent an email to Mark Zukerberg, posted a message on his Facebook and also sent a letter of complaint to the offices at Willow Road, California.

I report sexist abuse

I report sexist abuse, homophobic abuse and disgusting people who try to promote their kids saying sexual stuff to fully grown women. But instead of Instagram taking down their comments and accounts, they let them get away with it every damn time. Either they have an auto mated system put in place because they don't want to fix these issues or their staff promotes these values, which is it?

10 Quantity Unethical Ad Monopolization

On this day and starting on around March 9, 2026, 10 quantity Ad Monopolization has been going on using the SEO word NEARERBEING. I have NEARERBEING(R) Transformative Art Prints Standard Design legally showing in the SEO for my "1" SEO listing. I have no affiliations with Instagram, but yet, there are again, 10 quantity image ads of "different" subjects using NEARERBEING SEO and Nearerbeing SEO. I made two reports to Instagram, but they have been non-responsive. I also made this known to Google, but they have been non-responsive. I am publishing this to be documented in case need be in the future for extended communications attempts. Again, there are now 10 quantity ads using "Nearerbeing" in Google SEO that I have no affiliations with the action. It appears these Ad Images are “confusing” consumers or viewers of Google SEO as to what Nearerbeing is about. I kept receipts and image snapshots to reference for my documentation. Again, this has been going on since March 9, 2026 as documented.

Absolute NSFW and Reels Slop

Ever since Meta took over this platform, Not only can I not disable auto-play (it's like forceful Tik-Tok now), If I click and like something mature it spams my homepage with unnecessary "problematic" contents despite my configuration so it can show me less (it's kinda non-existent). So at this point I am like.... '🙂🔫'

Honestly disappointed because I’ve prevented from uploading content important content because I’m shunned from all of Australian Society including law-enforcement New South Wales health Medicare now I thought that freedom of speech existed but obviously not with Instagram because none of my contents getting uploaded and I see a community of usernames at the top of the screen he just seemed to be a distraction

Very disappointing experience with…

Very disappointing experience with Instagram and Facebook support. Genuine accounts are being suspended repeatedly without proper explanation, while connected accounts also get disabled automatically. The appeal system feels broken and there is almost no real human support available. Meta relies too heavily on AI moderation, which is creating false suspensions and endless verification loops for users worldwide. Even paying customers using Meta ads and promotions are not receiving fair treatment or proper customer care. This situation is damaging trust in the platform and causing unnecessary stress for genuine users and businesses globally.

Instagram ignores impersonation reports — account using my photo with no action taken

An Instagram account (“itsaaa90”) is using my personal photo without my consent and is linked to a mobile number that is no longer under my ownership. This is a clear case of identity theft and impersonation that poses serious privacy risks.
I submitted multiple reports through Instagram’s official impersonation and reporting forms. I also contacted support directly. Despite all of this, I received no meaningful response, no follow-up, and no action was taken against the account in question.
Instagram has the tools and the responsibility to handle impersonation cases — especially when a verified personal photo is being used without consent. The complete lack of response is unacceptable and leaves users exposed to serious identity and privacy violations.
For a platform of Instagram’s scale, this level of negligence in handling identity theft reports is deeply disappointing. Users deserve a clear process, a real investigation, and a timely resolution — not silence.

It's censorship is out of control

It's censorship is out of control. Photos and videos approved on other accounts removed when reposted. New accounts rejected if Instagram removed a previous account usually without justification.

Invasion of privacy asking for selfies to keep account

I had my account many 2-3 months now. Out of no where I was asked if I was a human and sent me a code so I did that. Then it wanted my phone number (which they have all this from when I opened the account) so I put my number in there and did this twice no code was sent to verify. So I chatted with a meta Khloe and she wanted me to create a selfie of myself to prove I am who I say I am. WHAT ? I asked for proof that people need to do this to have an account through instagram and she never provided any proof you needed this. When our conversation ended I tried to get a copy of it but password was changed and couldn’t get the conversation. This is a clear invasion of my privacy and will see if anyone else experienced this harassment from instagram. Thank you
