This was my first shift.

Accepted the shift. Showed up on time. Left on time. The shift was on Sunday, the end of the pay week. Today, my payment says processing..Available to withdraw on the 23rd. Then, all of a sudden my withdrawal date turns to The 30th. My shift was on the 18th. Thats almost 2 full weeks. This is my first shift. I will not be working anything else from this app. There's other options out there. I chose this app because I needed money right away so I worked for it. I shouldn't have to wait outside the standard payment guidelines. They are barley responding to me. And if they do. Its Vague and giving no solution. Just basically saying you have to wait. But giving me no explanation why it changed in the first place. Insta pay should be an option at this point. I didnt play around when it came to that shift I worked. Why is my payment being played with? I will be Deactivating this account as soon as I get paid next week. 2 weeks later. From an instapay platform.

I have been with the company since…

I have been with the company since 2019. A lot has changed since then and not in a good way. Mainly because of the over use of AI. around the time I started you could speak with an actual person whether that was in the app or in the phone. Now it’s basically only AI. I have to spam them with messages in order to speak with a real agent, but even then they get frustrated/ lazy and say they will transfer you to someone else but that never happens. I have been trying to use my sick leave for months and I keep getting AI responses and when I do get an actual person they deny me. I have over 70 hours of paid sick time I’m not able to use because they don’t feel like paying me, which is illegal!

I love working with Instawork …

I love working with Instawork I have always had a great experience and have learned and gained more job opportunities and on different positions. And being able to make your own schedule and pick the jobs that best fit you is great. And meeting new people creating lifelong friendships.

Huge waste of time

Huge waste of time. Bizarre zoom interview & woman's behavior during interview made me uncomfortable. I didn't get approved (i have college degrees), so i'm not sure what her problem was. But I spent a lot of time & for what ?!? I've heard its hard to get work on instawork at 1st !
My brand Ambassador job ,as m manager at events, I've had to send 2 instaworkers home after dealing with their b.s. & ineptitude.

Absolutely terrible support

Absolutely terrible support. I arrived at a shift and was unable to clock in on their app. I was told by support to complete the shift and upload a selfie of myself there then open a support ticket. I did. Three days later, I get promises of follow-up and nothing. I finally dropped the shift and gave up on getting paid - not worth the effort. Instawork is fine until you need support, but their inability to provide to support reduces the good to 0 IMO.

If there is a problem, it is almost impossible to speak to a human being.

Hello, since Tuesday I have been having a problem with your application. I took a job and went to work on Tuesday, and I signed in at the company. When I got home, I noticed that my account had been suspended because, according to the application, I did not show up for work that day, which is completely false! My account has been reactivated, but I still haven't received my pay. Why is that? I don't understand! I've been chatting with your AI, but it can't seem to find a solution to my problem! You need to give your users a way to chat with a human! It's been three days now that I've been trying to explain to your artificial intelligence that I still haven't received my pay, but nothing! It's frustrating!

first time using the app and it has been nothing but problem with getting paid . they don't pay on time and there's always an excuse and always try to make it seem like you're the problem. wouldn't recommend to use this app especially because you have to pay taxes at the end of the year and they can't seem to pay you on time . is like they are laughing at your face since they hide behind an app. God is real so don't forget .

I enter my phone number

I enter my phone number. I receive the code. I enter the code and then it claims it’s an invalid code.

I want my account deleted. There is no guide nor any way to contact someone to delete my account. When I try to follow the guide on how to get back access, their solution is to get another phone number from you. I don’t understand why I can’t rectify what’s wrong with my original phone number.

So I’m asking others to stay from instawork since they seem to have a very poor software behind their app, and for instawork to delete my account.

Instawork keeps erasing my in app…

Instawork keeps erasing my in app conversations with customer service representatives when it comes to me asking about my missing money.My check from September 10,2025 was never received,but shows up in ADP as paid to another account number,was mysteriously wiped from my in app earnings as well as the evidence that I presented in app,but of course I still have the documentation outside of Instawork in case they tried something shady and I have already talked to the businesses that I worked for that paid Instawork for my work ,that was NEVER paid to me .Bottomline Instawork refuses to pay me my money that the in app hacker mysteriously rerouted from the Instawork app and ADP app and stole from me.I am not the only one that this has happened to. Instawork continues to botch up and mishandle reviewing and investigating the evidence submitted properly with all of the presented facts.What company will lie about paying you for your work to Instawork and they NEVER pay you your money ,This has gone on way too long we want the money owed to us ..

They have no reliable HR department

They have no reliable HR department. Without a human based HR department, issues such as non payments and complaints have been lost in A.I. generated chats. I find Instawork in violation of the Federal Fair Labor Standard Act. Not only non payment issues, but limited one access to shifts and opportunities. This needs to be escalated in the court of law.

So I had the displeasure Of meeting one of the alleged support team members hes been bulliing me his name is Shane I'm definitely going to leave his name he was upset with me because I reported to them how I was being treated on a job that I did for them almost 3 weeks ago at the smooth bar and lounge in Concord The manager came out of her mouth in full complete honesty and said that she got lazy and didn't want To Do the dishes that they had already put in there also told me that the dishes were left Uber from the previous night and that they really didn't need a dishwasher they just pretty much needed some one for the time slot to wash the dishes and then they were going to cut their hours and also try to attempt to cut their pay instead work because it is in their privacy clause, Or company policy etc. You are supposed to get 4 hours of pay even if they don't keep you the whole shift so she tried to go into the app and take $30 from me after instawork paid me I drove 45 minutes from where I lived and I told her she had me therefore approximately 2 hours and 17 minutes to the minute And so because I attempted to leave the necessary paper trail so that they would not think that I was being false in my statement. I still have not had my account unlock they claimed they were doing and investigation. Just more lies to try to make their companies to look good when they have people that they do need to get rid of that are the problem. I have missed two shifts Due to all of this bs that i'm experiencing when all they had to do was advocate me as a partner that business has had negative reviews even before i mentioned anything and they're still getting negative reviews. I wouldn't necessarily trust eating there because they don't properly store their food i was literally getting so uncomfortable working in the dishroom because of how they have the chicken in the kitchen stored. One out of ten would not recommend!

Instawork is definitely one of the…

Instawork is definitely one of the better gig work apps out there but theres always room for improvement. They do offer insta pay and have a higher earning potentials . However there is very very few jobs to choose from and the ones that they do have are either super far away and or for short durations.

Don’t Expect your credit or debit tips.

I am still waiting on thier AI system to explain to me why I am not being paid credit and debit card tips from a shift July 26th covering the strike at Fenway Park. You can not speak with a human and their response time can be hours. You can wait hours for their system to reply but if you don’t reply back within a certain time the close the chat and you have to start all over again. Come to find out I am not the only professional being denied payment of tips. It’s a great app as long as you’re not being tipped. Terrible customer service or help if there are any issues. I have submitted documentation and still have not received and resolution.

Update: was told it is being reviewed and it has been over a week since anyone has responded after being told it was being escalated and being reviewed internally. I have also reached out to Aramark.

Instawork weeds out the nitwits

As a restauranteur, the need for temporary assistance is just part of the business.

Having used several local staffing agencies it was suprememly frustrating to ask for help, and recieve bodies instead of helpful associates. Half the time I was tracking those persons down trying to get them to do the tasks required.

It felt as though staffing agencies were taking anyone they could get off the street and tossing them into jobs they werent qualified or willing to do.

With Instawork, it is specific to our industry. People are aware up front that they are looking for food service gigs, not warehouseing, not janitorial, not construction....food service.

Secondly, people on the app need to have a modicum of intelligence just to get through the process of becoming a pro. Compared with the quality of associates we were getting from local staffing agencies, this was worth its weight in gold. Mind you, there are still some individuals where being prompt is a struggle however the hit rate on good people is much higher with Instawork.
