Faulty Breaks!

Boys Bike supplied with FAULTY BREAKS!!! Thankfully this was identified by Halfords at build stage although purchased by another retailer. I have requested the supplier do a product recall on all children’s bikes

Warning - No Goods Delivered!

I ordered a new bike lock on 24.8.2020. I kept receiving emails apologising for the delay, but nothing arrived. I tried chasing the supplier, but to no avail. Eventually the messages stop coming and still no bike lock. Fortunately I placed my order through PayPal who refunded my money. I will never use InSyncBikes again and advise others to do the same.

Product not delivered and company has ceased communicating

Ordered a product (bike tail light) which was stated as being in stock for next-day delivery on 13 August. First acknowledgement of delay came on 15 August when they suggested an expected despatch within 48h. Email s on 18 August and then 25 August shifted to 'as soon as we can'. An email query on the 25th was ignored. My email to them today came back with a "domain t.insyncbikes.com couldn't be found" error. The company's website is down with a "Domain name not found" error. I have initiated a dispute of the transaction through my bank.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY - DIABOLICAL SERVICE

The customer service from the company is absolutely shocking and diabolical. Ordered a bike steel security cable over 3 weeks ago. Several emails stating the item was not in stock and no estimated date of delivery. Requested cancellation of my order and a refund. After the request was made links to their website and 'my account' were not working. No response/replies to any form of communication. They still have my payment but have not delivered the goods or actioned a refund as requested . My order no is 233972698

Unprofessional company

Poor customer service to put it mildly..Bike ordered 2 weeks ago.. no update on delivery.. just one email response stating that bike is not in stock and no ETA shared!!!.. now no body picks up the phone / websites not working/no response to emails..overall utterly unprofessional set up!!

I bought a bicycle for my son before…

I bought a bicycle for my son before Xmas, in a couple of months the bycicle was completely broken. I spoke a man called Chris, he was very helpful and offered to pick the bycicle up and try to get it fixed. It didn't happen because of the lockdown ,since July i have been emailing with no response ,I tried the customer service number no answer. My son was so upset I had to go to Smith in Romford to get a new one. I'm really disappointed.

AVOID....THE WORST COMPANY/CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
We bought a bike for my sons birthday the end of April, delivery was fast but the bike was faulty. Contacted customer services who ignored me a while but we did eventually have the bike collected by them in May, have been fighting since then to get a refund!! Refund was received yesterday! 3 months after we told them the bike was faulty! CUSTOMER SERVICES WERE SARCASTIC AND RUDE! MATT, PHIL AND DAVID TO NAME A FEW ALL TRIED TO SPIN THE SAME YARN, AND CONVENIENTLY THEY DONT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER OR MANAGER AVAILABLE TO SPEAK TO! An absolute joke of a company AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We got a bike from Halfords in the end and their customer service was Brilliant.

Customer service non-existent

I bought a lovely bike for my daughter, general very good quality. There was just one small problem with it, i contacted Insync and they were not willing to do anything at all, no talk of looking into it or helping me out at all. I was made to feel that the problem was my fault, such a low level of customer service. Most of the other reviews i have read for Insync are to this effect, just a complete lack of customer service. So very disappointed in this very customer-service-orientated world that we live in, that Insync have no concept of looking after the customer. If you're lucky enough to buy one of these bikes and have no problems then fair enough, but if you need any attention, you're not getting it from these people i'm afraid.

I’m delighted with my bike

I’m delighted with my bike, I went out on it this evening for a ride for an hour and a half, it was a breeze, even on slight hills, I stayed on cycle paths and roads, my husband bought a rear battery light. I can’t find a switch for the front light, please advise, as when I got home it was getting dark.

100% so far, very happy !!!

Bought in store at WheelWorks Dublin. Bike is 100% perfect ! and was set up and pre-charged by the in-store techie. Saw another review who said they had problem with the lights, there is a quirk that you need to push the walk assist 6km button for a second to get them to operate (and have the rotary dial 'on' at the lamp too). The are two things I would have liked to see. A bottle holder (but easily fitted one on the side of the carrier) and the rear reflector is not a light, so fitted an Oxford one for Euro 15 which works great. The bike itself is only 1 day old - so far we did about 5 km with the battery appearing still fully charged. No rattles or clunks and all appears good quality. Glad we bought in-store as the shipping and courier companies seem to be bashing them in the delivery. My advice,- buy from a dealer !... UPDATE> Week 3 month no faults other than punctures.

Love love love

I just love this bike. I have not ridden a bike for many years, but been thinking of trying one of these electric assist bikes for work , for awhile.
Firstly tried a different folding electric bike from ideal world, which didn't really like. Was still quite a
Lot of human power involved even with motor. Since returning that one an trying the insync, realised why. GEARS. Gear do make a massive difference. So firstly if u considering a e bike. Choose one with a selection of gears.
Anyway, the insync
It's brilliant.
I did have issues at first. A broken bell. Missing screws for battery pack , loose steering column and no idea how to switch front light on. But after contacting ideal world who got in sync to call me. All were rectified .
The light is turned on by holding the plus button a few seconds.
Steering column needs a bolt in the bottom part of steering column to be tightened by a alankey .bolt is found in the recess before the steering is unfolded into cycle position
As for use. It's amazing. No hills are a challenge , as u have seven gears to help make the leg work easier, it's a doddle.
I'm loving cycling which I would never have imagined. Folds very easily and when unfolded, a very sturdy clasp with Security pin holds bike securely.
Bike is pretty heavy. Would say about 20kg approx but reduces that weight if battery is removed before liffting.
Basically all I can say from my own personal use is. Try an insync, if anything like my experience, u won't be disappointed. Great customer service from in sync an very helpful and polite representative.
Can not praise enough .

Great Bike Spec-Poor Quality Control-excellent Ideal World customer service.

Apologies for the length of this review.
Here goes:
I purchased the Insync Circuit Folding Electric Bike through the Ideal World shopping channel.
The bike arrived in a sturdy cardboard container that showed some damage to it.
I carefully unpacked the bicycle and tried to assemble it.
The frame locking mechanism wouldn’t lock into place-the handlebars wouldn’t align properly and there was no discernible way to resolve these two situations-there was a dent on the front mudguard-a scratch on the frame-the bolt that should have attached the nearside rear mudguard stay was missing-the bell mechanism was missing-all that came was the little bell dome-the front light didn’t work although subsequently I figured out how it could be made to work-the instructions were not clear on this point-the tyres were fully inflated although the ‘blurb’ indicated that they would need inflating before use-the battery had no charge in it although, again, I was informed that there would be ‘some charge in it’.
However, the battery soon charged up to full within 3 hours.
I wonder if the bicycle had originally been returned by a previous customer and then sent out again-if this is not the case, then I apologise.
I contacted Ideal World about the problems and I supplied photographs of the bike to highlight the problems.
A few days later, Avocet Sports contacted me about the problems and to be fair to them, they offered to assist but by then I had repacked the bicycle back into its cardboard packaging for it to be returned-the locking frame mechanism and the non aligned handlebars proving to be the seeming insurmountable problems.
Parcel Force collected the package on June 11th at just after 4 pm and I received my money back from Ideal World on June 19th.
I was considering awarding just the 1 star to Avocet Sports Limited but to be fair to them, they did offer to help in resolving some of the issues-hence the 2 stars for them.
Please note that Ideal World were super helpful through out the whole of the situation and, if I could, I would give them 5 stars.
I’m just so glad that I received my refund without delay.
A message for Avocet Sports Limited-the specification of the Insync Circuit Folding Electric Bicycle sounds marvellous-however please improve the quality control practices before dispatching your products-to say that I was disappointed in not being able to experience an electric bike was palpable.
I won’t be purchasing a big ticket priced item online again-had Ideal World not offered a 60 day no quibble ‘try before you buy’ deal then I reckon my issues would have been worse.
Such a shame that things didn’t work out the way that they should have.

Faulty bike brakes - no response!

They simply ignore you when things go wrong!

I purchased the bike in April (209287566). The brakes disconnected four times by the beginning of June. Every time we slot the cable into the place, it jumps out after a couple of uses. We took the bike to a local bike shop hoping for an easy fix. They slotted the break back in and said that it was not going to hold long as the fitting looks faulty and they strongly recommended returning the bike.

I had four separate attempts at communication. I spoke on the phone to Phil, Jack and Matt. I responded to one single reply I received on May 28, 2020. I sent four further emails, none of which received a reply.
The last email I sent was on June 20th.

I raised the issue with Paypal, they agreed to refund the money - but only when I post the bike back. No refund of return postage offered.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 makes it an implied term of the contract that goods be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. I should not lose out financially as a result of their breach of contract and accordingly, all costs of returning the item should be met by Insync Bikes.

Bought Insync Circuit bike via Ideal…

As I said in my post, I did not buy from you and hence do not have an account. All I asked Matt was that he could perhaps find out the spec of the bolts, so that I could buy replacements. I was not asking you to provide the bolts, just the spec. The response was dismissive and unhelpful, and I have now sorted elsewhere. It seems many of the Insync customer services responses are stock answers, rather than showing a willingness to provide a service.
Bought Insync Circuit bike via Ideal World this month and arrived 8 June. As first time had an ebike, took for quick half hour ride yesterday 11 June. Noticed rattling from pannier on back and found the box which holds the battery was completely free of the pannier. Box is secured to pannier by 4 bolts. All of the bolts were missing.
Rang Insync to ask if could let me know the bolt size, so that I could get 4 from local store. However, was informed that, as bought from Ideal World, Insync would not even tell me what the bolt spec was! I know I bought from IW, but wasn't looking for money back or anything, and would have thought the folks who make the bikes could easily find the info for me.
Love the bike on first impressions, but Insync customer service experience not good, so what should be a 5 star dropped to 3.

Rear gears collapsed after only 10…

Rear gears collapsed after only 10 rides. Still waiting for a response/solution 14 days after contacting customer service.

Update: three weeks on, and a replacement cassette 'has been requested'...6 days ago! No urgency to resolve this...let alone any offer of financial recompense. Would reduce to 0 stars if I could. Trading standards/ombudsman next.

Tony Richardson back again to update my original notes 3 days ago.
Well I do NOT understand all the negative reports.
To continue on from my original report on the delivery etc.
I have now had a chance to thoroughly road test this machine and found it to be superb!
After about 5 miles I felt quite at home with all the controls and covered about 20 odd miles all around my home town of Colchester with quite a few hills to test it. It was so easy to ride and so fast up the hills without using maximum power at all.
Together with the Shimano 7 speed gear change and a quick flick up or down with the power control it was absolutely super and so easy for an 83 year old to operate!
The amazing thing was after all this mileage the battery still showed 80% left so battery usage was minimal. I found that the power setting of 2 bars was quite ok for most hills without going up to the full power of 5 bars.
To say that I am delighted with this super machine is an understatement and can honestly recommend this machine to anyone who is keen on making it easy to get back into cycling after not riding my old road racing bike some 20 years ago in my 60’s.
Treat yourself to a very reasonably priced and very well built machine!

Poor communication

Dispatch time on order twenty four hours. Ordered 01/06/20 still waiting for dispatch 05/06/20. Contacted them every day and fobbed off with it should be sent out later. Order Number 219323578. Cancelling order tonight and Should refund no be prompt then will contact card company for a recharge. Told will not accept cancellation as item in dispatch stage.

Blaming unusual number of orders and restrictions due to coved. Expected some delays but this is ridiculous.

The website states orders will not be charged until dispatch my card was debited on 01/06/20.

Items finally sent out Sat 06 after quoting distance selling act when cancelling. Will definitely not be using again and will provide more feedback if I have to return goods. Changed rating from one to three stars. Would be five if the delivery had been prompt and without the misinformation.

Pity could understand some delay if they had been Honest and kept me informed of delays.

All in all a shower of bandits and will not be dealing with them again. Probably will have to pay return postage. They did offer to refund postage but pleased with items so decided to keep them.

Ordered a nsync Chimera SLR via leisure…

Ordered a nsync Chimera SLR via leisure outlet.com all the bike came fine but there was one massive problem, the front wheel frame is to narrow for the wheel coil to sit in the brackets and I can't pull the bars apart to get the coil in.
I've tried untightening every bolt on the wheel and still won't fit in there. Either the the two bars are too narrow for the coil to slide into the pockets or something else.So now I have a brand new bike sitting there doing nothing cause the wheel don't fit

HORRIBLE COMPANY..BIKE WITH MISSING PARTS..MORE THAN A MONTH AND STILL NO REFUND

I wish there was an option to give 0 stars for this company. Extremely upset with my experience with them so please bear with me for the length of this review. Absolutely rubbish product and even worse customer service. Ordered bike for my daughter's birthday and paid £145 almost 4 weeks back (on 17/04) and paid extra for the next day delivery. The bike did not arrive on time and when it did there was parts missing like the pedals, assembly manual,lights and bell etc. Since they dont have any other way to contact apart from emails they took 3 days to reply back and all they could do was apologise. No reason for the missing parts was given and I was informed they dont have another bike in stock.
I could not get the birthday gift for my daughter on time and this obviously ruined her day. I was told to pack the bike and print labels for this. I did inform then it is not possible as we are in lock down and I have no access to any printer but this did not make any difference to them. I was communicating with them only via emails and their response time was between 24-48 hours per email. They kept apologising and I was told the label has to be printed. I had to drive 13 miles to my work place to print the label and just when I got back I received an email that the collection has been delayed due to some system error and I had to choose another collection date and re-print another label. Once again after another angry email to them I was told they are sorry and I have to get another label for collection which meant another trip to my office.
Anyways the parcel was collected on the 26/04 by their courier company Hermes (who also cannot be contacted as I am not paying for this pick-up) and today its 16/05 and they have still not acknowledged if the parcel is received or processed any refund to me which I think is completely unacceptable. After ruining my daughters birthday and causing me so much inconvenience during this difficulty time with the lockdown and the financial burden, I am still waiting for my refund whereas I should be compensated for what I had to go through.
This company is a joke and I would never recommended them to anyone. You can also read feedbacks from other customers about this company and they have gone through the same painful experience.
LATEST UPDATE - THIS COMPANY SAYS THE BIKE WHICH WAS PICKED UP BY THEIR COURIER COMPANY HERMES ON 26/04 HAS STILL NOT BEEN RECEIVED BY THEM AND HENCE NO REFUND HAS BEEN ISSUED.
THERE IS ONLY ONE THING YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THEM AND THEY ARE VERY CONSISTENT IN THAT AND I MEAN BY THE WORD "SORRY". THEY KEEP APOLOGISING BUT IT FEELS LIKE THEY ARE USING SARCASM IN THIS WORD. EVERYONE (JACK/JAMES/TRACY/RACHEL/MATT)USES THE SAME WORD AGAIN AND AGAIN.
