No one should take out this insurance…

No one should take out this insurance cover it's absolutely terrible they tell you that the engineer has made a report ,and got your boiler goin again even though new parts are obviously needed,we had called them 4 times and paid the fifty puond call out cover for a problem that we fixed ourselves after the engineer the next day,they point blank refuse to renew any part if they can,EDF,should bin this Mickey mouse company,it will give them a bad name,

Never trust Intana!!! Stay clear of this company

These guys are liars and I would go so far as to say they are thieves. We rang Intana and organised not only a call-out but full repair and all the costs of the parts covered for the following morning. The next morning it not only turned out that they hadn’t even booked us in properly, but what we had been promised was a lie- the people coming to do the boiler fix were only coming out for a call-out and we would have to pay for everything we’d been promised (repair and parts). We then rang to speak to them, who listened to the original phone call, ADMITTED that they had told us wrong and that we should be refunded our money as we’d paid based on false promises from them.

Then we were passed onto the complaints department, who were the most useless department imaginable. They refused to give us an email confirmation, claiming they could only confirm or acknowledge our complaint by post that would come ‘within 5 days’ and actually came over a week later. Then two weeks after that, they rang us up, suddenly turned around to say they a) hadn’t promised anything false and b) hadn’t already admitted fault and c) hadn’t said that we were due a refund.

This company has STOLEN our money and after three weeks of dealing with them, they have supposedly washed their hands of us. We will never use this company again. And everyone should stay far away.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

AVOID AVOID AVOID, EDF sell you this policy but the minute you make a claim you don't realise you are not dealing with EDF but some awful company who REFUSE to do work and are rude and engineer lied on report. EDF should stand up and share the blame when it all goes wrong but there not interested at. Intana home cover useless, you have been pre-warned

How bad can a company be

Please take note of these reviews and steer clear of EDF / Intana
Boiler serviced by them at the start of contract now told by the engineer we need a new boiler ? There seems a pattern on the reviews regarding engineer quality. They do not ring you back we emailed to cancel the contract and was told we did not have one. EDF need to get rid of the insurance style cover or they will lose a lot of customers.

Bad complaints department, lying engineer

Engineer came to service our boiler and all seemed OK, when he replaced the panel the control cover wouldn't shut (I've never had this issue) and he noticed a pin out of place forced it back in place and shut cover.
When my wife came to turn boiler off the cover fell off in her hands.
I contacted the engineers company who said they would contact me which they didn't so contacted EDF Intana cover and made a complaint which resulted in being told tough luck as the engineer denied everything made me and my wife sound like liar's.
Now bought a replacement piece for £13.99 to fit myself, my monthly cover was about £15.00 a month. But they have now lost a customer for life.

DO NOT USE INTANA

I had my boiler serviced through EDF and Intana as advertised. The engineer they sent blew a fuse resulting in me having no heating or hot water.

When I called Intana on the phone to ask for her to send out an electrician to fix the problem the woman was patronising and rude who said “it’s not her problem”. She said she would get her manager to call me back and never did.

I have had two electricians out to fix my problem and spent a lot of money.

Total Protection Boiler Cover

Total Protection Boiler Cover
We have EDF Total Protection boiler cover, we had a gas leak several days ago, so have no gas at the height of winter. We need some basic replacement pipes, still waiting for EDF to sort this out, no idea when the work will be done. The company keeps saying someone will phone us back, but no one ever does. We have phoned every day, but aren't getting anywhere. Appalling customer service, now feeling desperate thinking we'll have to arrange for the work to be done ourselves. I have phoned Intana many times but get nowhere. Hopeless.
Update 11th February, now 9 days in, still no gas and we have no idea when the problem will be resolved.
Update 12th told someone would come today, no one turned up, now told they haven't ordered the parts.
Update 14th still no progress.
