Inter Marriage update
During quarantine I decided to investigate this suspect dating site further by going through the initial process of joining which doesn't require any fee. I duly wrote a profile, attached my photos and chose the maximum 15 'favourite' ladies which I was allowed. Like scam site Uadreams, suspiciously, all their ladies are very beautiful, desirable and quite accomplished in life. I received a token reply from owner Marina Federova asking me to send a replacement photo choice and then my message was sent to my favourites.
I can't say that I was surprised when I got 13 out of 15 replies, all long and sounding very keen too! It was too good to be true!
Now, two of those 15 who I contacted had written to me before from the other suspect site, Uadreams, which I have been using, and both replied without recognising me. One of whom, Nataliya, I'd had regular contact with all last year and she / the 'ghost writer' wrote fantastic messages. If she is a scam the level of cynicism is extraordinary!! When I wrote to tackle her about this on Uadreams she said “Inter Marriage is a scam site who won't remove her old profile” when she wanted to leave. Mysteriously, Nataliya's profile and photos were suddenly removed which implies that someone insisted on this to Inter Marriage and they complied!
I was sent the contract next and this was suspect. No witnessing to signatures or actual signing was required and there was no mention of data protection, it was all to be done through the Internet using photocopied signatures which are not legally binding. It also seemed like I wouldn't receive anything signed on Inter Marriage's behalf either. How would anything be enforced legally this way and from another country? I was also required to send 1500 euros to a genuine bank, Banque: Société Générale but I didn't do it, I'm not that stupid! At this point you can write another message to your chosen ones and still renege on the deal, apparently. This will reel you into the web.
I politely emailed Inter Marriage to point these things out and, like the last time I tackled them, received a rather rude reply. Why would a genuine site not try to assuage me and answer my reasonable queries about the contract to make some money ? Instead, this was the reply:
“No problem if you don't trust my agency. I don't force anybody to work with me. And for this reason I propose free test to everybody. And you're absolutely free to have doubts of not, to continue or not.
I'm absolutely not responsible for any other websites than mine, and I don't know how they work and who answer you.
I know perfectly what happen in my agency and everything is clear.
But I don't like such kind of discussion and to feel myself "guilty"...
I think better for you and me not to continue any collaboration”
You decide, but this looks like another clever, elaborate Ukrainian scam with a guilty feeling perpetrator!! I would bet that you would never actually meet any of these ladies or retrieve any of your money after months of frustrated messaging. My judgement from the 13 replies I received is that they're ghost writers using bought profiles with attractive photos.
Avoid this site at all costs; well, at a cost of 1500 euros to be precise!
