I am very grateful. I made a mistake shortly after my registration and the team was very understanding and helpful. It’s a lovely platform... Thanks again.
When I first applied for membership with InterNations, my application was initially declined. However, after sincerely explaining my reasons and motivations for joining to the support center, they reconsidered my case and ultimately granted me membership. I am truly grateful to InterNations for not rigidly adhering to rules, but instead responding with flexibility to individual circumstances and giving me a second chance.

I wish I had read the reviews before joining this shitty internations. Learn from me and avoid it all all cost it is not worth it. they charge membership fee and yet they dont offer any activities that is worth it. all the activities offered you can easily participate without being a member of this organization. They make the cancellation of subscription hidden in away that you cant easily opt out but will be so fast to deduct the money. Shame on all of you for exploiting expats. I hope most expats will realize they don't need to pay for anything to this organization. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY MEMBERSHIP ; THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND OFFER NO TANGIBLE ACTITIVITES; WHICH YOU ARE STILL EXPECTED TO PAY FOR.

They are a scam - I cannot cancel and cannot access the site to cancel - I am reporting them to the ACCC to have them investigated in Australia- DO NOT JOIN - I am having them fined be careful it’s a trap

I can't log into my account. And there is no support option to help me. I have already paid for a full year and now can't access the app or the site or anything. This feels like a scam.

It's hard to cancel your membership. I want to meet people. In two cities, most people were not really expats. Most were local and either trying to sell something like advertising, or insurance, or trying find a rich foreign boyfriend.

This is a scam - NEVER NEVER NEVER share any type of credit card information with them. They will use to reclaim money including when you stop subscription. Illegal scam and practices.

Automatically invoiced for a year with no previous alert or message. They offer me a free month to try the suscription. Yesterday I got invoiced for a year and I emailed right away (1h after the charge). They are just refusing to cancel it and give my money back. This is just stealing people money and should not be allowed. I did not know the membership would be automatically invoiced for 1 year after my month trial and now they want me to pay for something I will not use? I will take legal actions on that so RUN AWAY FROM HERE.
This "club" finds ways to debit you automatic a full membership after a year, even if you are not a paid member and you do not wisth be one. You need to use a password to cancel when you are in the website and there is no way to find this password. Everything is done to keep you captive. They do not reply to messages, obviousely. Avoid absolutely.
The reply from Interntions shows that they have no intention to refund, with the automatic debit they conceal they found a trick to mislead their clients....

I have tried two times to get a member. First time the request was decliened within two minutes (13.07.25) . Looks like a robot is reviewing the requests.
After second request rejection (15.97.25) I wrote to info(at)internations(dot)org and received help. Finally the 3rd request was accepted. All information I provided before where true and complet. I'm concerned now to recommend my friends to join as well and make the same experience.

I bring a diverse and hands-on background in business development, project coordination, and international collaboration. Over the past several years, I have worked closely with both local and international partners to establish and manage ventures in sectors such as LED lighting, handicrafts, and pet products. My responsibilities have included drafting formal business plans, coordinating multi-national partnerships, overseeing production networks, and handling legal-financial documentation for cross-border investments.
I have also been actively involved in setting up sustainable and community-based projects in Bangladesh, such as the "Wholesaler to Industrialist" LED initiative, which aims to empower small-town entrepreneurs through regional factory networks. These experiences have sharpened my skills in communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and multicultural team coordination.
Furthermore, I am deeply interested in social impact ventures and have recently initiated plans to establish a senior citizen care NGO in Estonia. My goal is to combine commercial expertise with social responsibility to create meaningful, scalable change.
I believe in the power of global connection and mutual support, and I truly appreciate the good cooperation and welcoming spirit of the Internations community. It provides a valuable platform for professionals to share ideas, collaborate across borders, and grow together.
Signed for trial but never used. After the trial without any notice I was charged for a year's subscription fee. Tried to contact to get a refund but they wouldn't accept my refund request.

Terrible company. Unreliable. Rude staff. A total waste of time. Stay away.

I've lived abroad for ~30 years, and I'm in the process of moving to yet another country, so I have been looking for a new online expat community to match. A friend suggested InterNations, so I applied.
Much to my surprise, my application was rejected (possibly because I did not provide my full name, date of birth and city of birth, but I take my privacy seriously). Out of curiosity, I did an online search which led me here to InterNations' Trustpilot page.
Well, after reading the numerous negative reviews about this company (and their uniformly patronizing responses), I'm now much less disappointed!

Changing my neagtive review to a positive one. After a unwanted invoice issue the company were very kind and solved the issue. Very much appreciated! Thank you kindly. I would suggest that customers would receive a heads up before the trial month is over so that they can chose to cancel their membership if they don't want a premium membership.

As far as I’m aware, I signed up for basic on this platform. I never used it. Thought about albatross, but, didn’t want to pay the stupid fee. Stayed with basic, still didn’t use it. None of the events were near me to travel to. Next thing I know, I got an email last week telling me that “unfortunately they were unable to charge my card for the Albatross membership”. I deleted my account, wrote them an email and told them to stop asking for payment, zero response. I checked my email today, and there it is, a “reminder” to pay my account. I’m really confused because I’m pretty certain I didn’t sign up for the “elite” membership as I didn’t want to pay the fee. Internations seem to have no ethics with regards to their practices with payments, sending “reminder” emails with a hint of threat. No.

They were very responsive. They did not dismiss my concerns.
